if you want to move to Ubuntu, it is a good distro with a lot of history and a lot of users. you can find a lot of help because of that. it is easy to use and has a lot of "flavors" that you can choose from if you don't want the heavy DE. for example LUbuntu is the light version of it which uses LXDE desktop. https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/9457/installing-a-targz/ Title: Re: Electrum Linux Post by: Abdussamad on January 21, 2018, 08:06:28 AM I've heard that arch has the latest packages in its repos however when it comes to other distros it is best to install from source using pip3. That's because electrum has a very fast release cycle while distro package maintainers don't release as often so you get outdated packages on distro repos.
I use opensuse myself but debian is good too :) |
