Title: Boot with 3 gpus - not boot with 4 Post by: qwerty92 on January 21, 2018, 01:50:46 AM Hi everyone,
I'm trying to set up a rig with 3 1070 and one 1060. Motherboard is a msi z270 pc mate with g4400 Intel cpu. I don't get any issue with 3 card (no matter if only 1070 or mixed) but when I plug the 4th windows doesn't boot... Bios see the card but when windows is loading I get "no signal" and just one card stop the fan (all card have fan stop at low temperature) PSU is a 1000W corsair rmi All is running on win 10 pro full updated I just do the following: - update bios - install Nvidia driver - delete Nvidia driver - pcie to gen1 - latency to 64 - riser and gpu work well in all combination with 3 gpus - I tried also with 4G set on but it still not working This is making me crazy. Can anyone help me? Thank you. Title: Re: Boot with 3 gpus - not boot with 4 Post by: BTC22 on January 21, 2018, 01:57:07 AM I'd bet your PSU doesn't have enough power. How much RAM do you have?

I think 1000W with a good corsair PSU it's enough.I have 4 GB and 16GB virtual memory Title: Re: Boot with 3 gpus - not boot with 4 Post by: leonix007 on January 21, 2018, 09:56:44 AM Ensure that it is indeed a shutdown, I am thinking that its just installing the 4th card and normally will do a blank screen while installing it and it take a few minutes. Also check your Risers, if you have extras try to replace them.
Also got this info from MSI website with this particular board.. I wonder if its the cause. ** The PCI_E2/ PCI_E5 slot will be unavailable when an expansion card has been installed in the PCI_E3/ PCI1 slot. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z270-PC-MATE/Specification Title: Re: Boot with 3 gpus - not boot with 4 Post by: qwerty92 on January 21, 2018, 10:33:31 AM Ensure that it is indeed a shutdown, I am thinking that its just installing the 4th card and normally will do a blank screen while installing it and it take a few minutes. I don't think msi advice has effect on it but I'm not sure |
