What is a Silver Wallet? Silver Wallets are 1 troy ounce pure silver coins that can be used to store a private key for a bitcoin address. The obverse bears a unique and stately design the represents the advent of this brilliant new technology.  The reverse has a 12.7mm incused square for you to carefully place a private key QR code that can then be concealed with our custom tamper proof hologram.  Silver Wallets give you the freedom to store as little or as many BTC as you want.
 
Why Silver Wallets? What do I get with my order, and what’s the price? Each coin is professionally minted at 39mm in diameter, consists of 1 Troy Oz of Pure .999 Silver, and comes in a hard plastic capsule. You will also receive 3 of our custom tamper proof holograms for each coin, as well as detailed step-by-step instructions on how to load your coin. Please remember that no digital bitcoins are included with your order. The first 100 coins of this design are individually serial numbered at 9 o’clock on the reverse. The cost of these first individually numbered proof coins is $99.00 USD or BTC equivalent. Only after the first 100 coins are sold, non-serial numbered versions will be available for $75.00 or BTC equivalent. Discounts will be provided for those purchases of full rolls (20 coins per roll).

Thank you. For the first one we wanted to make a very nice looking classic design. Some of our other designs are very edgy! Looking forward to this as well as all the future designs. I think people will be very pleased.

Out of interest why is the price A LOT higher than silver spot?

I understand manufacturing costs etc but is the 99 merely to enforce a "limited edition" run as opposed to any significance ?

Only $59 once the limited edition run ends, a savings of $40. Might get one, but it'll be when these numbered ones sell out.

Well these are all proof coins and the numbered ones are first run, individually numbered. Plus the wallet aspect of the coin with the custom hologram. We also wanted to be competitively priced. Casascius Coin is currently 1.5 BTC ($186) for the silver portion of his coin and Lealana is currently 1.45 ($175) for the silver portion of his coin. We felt that $99 for the first edition, first 100 individually numbered in our series of coins was a fair price. After the first 100 we drop the price to $59 and there will never be more than 1,000 of this design minted. Once this design is sold we will release the next design in the series. The upcoming designs are very edgy and I believe will be well received.

Please read original post. This is a pre order for first run of 100 coins which is currently 6 weeks out on production. Once the first 100 have been reserved we will move forward with production and release coins.
