Title: Why are people hiring crypto writers nowadays?
Post by: Adioliver on January 22, 2018, 02:26:03 AM
Recently there have been many threads in the services section for hiring crypto writers.I even applied for one and that guy paid me $15 for an article on a particular altcoin.I am really curious to know where do these people post my/our crypto articles.
If they are paying $15-20 for a simple article then they must be earning more by posting our crypto writings.
I would be glad if someone could enlighten me about this platform where we can earn by posting altcoin articles.

They have websites with ads on them, what is written is posted there, then with the crypto hype still going on they get enough site hits to make a decent profit on their websites. Pretty much the usual, it's been going on for as long as I can remember.

And that's how they are making more money with those articles that they have paid so they can get the authorship/ownership of that article.

Also there are some devs that are looking for people to write them good for their project, like more of a review and they'll add it to their website, ANN and will display it for good .

I would be glad if someone could enlighten me about this platform where we can earn by posting altcoin articles.

Some people own blogs or even multiple blogs, so they want to develop a following on their blogs. Usually on their blogs there are going to be either advertisements, referral links, shortened links or all of the above.

I guess what they hope is that their blog becomes big, so that they can make a living off the ad revenues and potentially even get individual sponsors sponsoring their content. But they need a steady stream of content, and they're not bothered to write it themselves or don't have time.

Another possibility is that they're asking you to write a positive piece about an ICO, alt coin, or project. They will then post it on their site/submit it to a news site, etc. for positive press coverage of their project.

15$ an article. Damn you rich kid.
Anyways, don't let your greed carry you away. A lot of people will come seek your articles and some will just take the ownership of your article and will never ever pay you.
But if you provide articles with good quality, they shouldn't mind paying you. However if you manipulate the information in the article, someone or the other will find something fishy and you shall face the consequences.

It not really rare for companies to hire advertisers in many ways. For a positivity, it gives different insights from a totally different person. Because writing articles now are easy and it serves as a refrence for anyone looking for a good coin. Even if it is just a small portion of an article, devs could use them if ever someone would ask for how legit their company is. It gives more trust for anyone who would read the article .

The answer is simple. Crypto related news websites right now ar hyping like crazy. There is an insane amount of ICOs that are ready to pay for banners / listings /   postings / overviews etc. Most of such websiges have a garbage content so it makes it easy to attract new users just by making a couple interesting articles and then you can just post payed articles (that are already written by someone). The prices on major websites sometimes are going crazy. For example some time ato forklog has been posting your (!) material for 3-4 BTC per article and it is only a small part of the income.

They pay more than that my friend. It's how they work their campaigns in every way and even on social media's they put it up to good use and take the oppprtunity to get fame over the crowd(i mean the people using internet). It will strengthen thier campaign and release more transparency to get the costumer's interest and feel more safer.

This is one of the actual usage of those articles which are being made for their own coin/project. It is really be always an important thing to consider having a good and convincing article which would put up interest on anyone who do read it. $15 for a single article is too much for others then i would say this rate is just fine. You do make money but they do make money even more.

So what you're thinking is that, those people that hired you to post articles have a better selling point than that $15-$20?
Well yes, that's possible if your contact is yet another freelancer and not the main client. If that's the case, then you've met with a fake freelancer that normally bids on contract/projects in which when they got the job, they'll immediately find a legit and skilled person to do the task for them. It's like taking the credit and having a profit at the same time.

$15 for an article is so cheap man. I know some content writers/ghostwriters asking from $75 to $150 for a single article and they are overloaded with orders.
Paying $15 here they are saving a lot of money, especially when some knowledges about the topic are needed to be able to write a decent article.

Minimum that i know is $50 mostly but it will be still depends if how long the article is if your article words is 500 below i think they are paying it for low price.. since there are lots of people right now are reading crypto articles they are hiring but they are paying with small  reward then they can earn as long as their website or blog alive..
If you are a seo blogger if you don't want to waste your time of making article then hire someone to make article for you. .

You can't directly put an article into money. Meaningful articles and media are needed to make a site google friendly. But preposter is right. Depending on the site (if its a private blog or commercial site) 15$ for an article is low paid. It is ok, if you don't have much research or just have to rewrite articles.

Truly cheap, it's a passion and writing isn't an easy thing to get paid for 15 bucks. Adioliver you should ask next time for more competitive rates, this will make the standards of quality writers to go down. I'm not a writer myself but I know how it's hard to write basically for something that you had to advertise. For writers out there there's an offer; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2784635.0 maybe this will fit any of you.

+1.

Nowadays, most articles are stolen ones and no one cares about that, since the website owner is going to get the righs and will get paid by adsense or any other payments of advertisements provider.

I had a website of Cooking a few years ago and i used to hire a writer, but i used to pay no more than 5$ per article...

But for cryptos, there is no need at all.
15$ an article. Damn you rich kid.

I guess their will be a time where these services would be caught by our mods and devs. Because it may not be illegal but some writers would just copy paste things and say it is from them. Or it will become spammy on the service section.

I don't think it will be illegal since it is like you just sell your writing service to anyonem it is like the newspaper, people are writing news/stories and the publishing company will take care of it once done

Crypto based news portal niche is still unsaturated so there is room for new media portal to get success. That's why recently many have started their own media portal but they don't have time or in depth knowledge about crypto to write articles that's why they are hiring writers who have time and in depth knowledge of crypto.

I'm sorry but I will be against with what you said here that writing articles now is easy and getting paid for $15 with it isn't justifiable.

With other things you mentioned, yes that's a fact and that is the typical way of companies with those hired article writers but don't treat that job easy as you are saying.

You have to give different points, advantage, disadvantages and other reviews that you can for their satisfaction and it will consume a lot of time.

Content writing is a very common way to earn money over the internet, this not only applies to altcoins but every website, the Google bot loves new content so a website that has new content everyday is given an higher score than a site that has barely anything new, so website owners that do not have the time to create their own content pay someone else to do it, they can add ads and earn money that way or it is simply a way to bring more traffic to their website to sell something.

Title: Re: Why are people hiring crypto writers nowadays?

Content writing has been around for a very long time. The industries may have changed, but page rank, Google ads, all that monetisation... they're still alive and strong. There are some good "crypto" writers around, but they mainly do fixed work with some of the big media outlets, others work in small teams with less frequent income, but the overall idea is that fresh content and regular content drives traffic to the service. Traffic is still the main thing a web service requires to grow. Since conversion rates are much lower from advertising, content is still king.

But of course, this forum ecosystem has people paying, as you say, $15, or even lower - this gives you an indication of the quality. Anything below 5 cents a word (that's $5 per 100 words) is likely to be average at best. Look at all the bounty content floating around, all the generic PR material posted around and you see that even machine rewrites get accepted (Google is to blame).

If they hire you to write about a specific altcoin/token, I'm pretty sure they're gonna submit it to the token's blog bounty program. A lot of ICO/Token bounty program offering a bounty for publishing an original content in our blog. Almost all of those ICO bounty has a blog campaign. I take a random bounty thread for example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2808421.0 they are offering 20% of their bounty allocation for blog campaign.

Crypto is more and more popular, and more sites with news are coming. Anyone who read crypto news can notice that most of the articles on different sites are the same, that tells that crypto needs food writers. Writers for gambling, for alts, for icos, for so many things connected with crypto. Good writers think that 15 dollars for one article is too little, and price should be higher for that and when thats happen more experienced writers will work for bitcoins. Before many writing jobs could be found in service section, but for that now try bitjob, or if you are good writer you can write couple articles and send it to few crypto portals as CV and maybe they will accept you to work for them, you can't know if you don't try.

Because Cryptocurrencies are trending.
As it becomes popular, many has come to assess it's capability to provide its purpose yet, economically speaking, the nature of bitcoin is being noticed.
As demand goes up, it goes extremely volatile proportionally.
That is why debates are held nowadays.
As these things happen, amount of information are credited to those who can give analysis based on experience and other datas IMO.

Now you want to know what they use it for. Everybody can feature in every thing. A lot of singers have their songs composed for them and what they do is just to sing it and people will even adore them than hearing it from the composer of such song. Does that them mean the composer would be better off singing it, we don't know but he has been compensated for a job well done which you have been paid for. Whatever they are using it for, is none of your business because the platform they use it, the risk they take to be there, you might not be able to take such.

There are many types of entities including:
- Those who post our work as ghost writers at websites/blogs with very high PR rate after proofreading and editing it.
- Those who post it at their own crypto related blogs to gain more audience and convert them into customers (if they have some subscriptions available) or just make them their subscribers and earn through the advertisements that can be seen there.
- Ghost writers earn an average of $80 - 150 and sometimes even more than $500 based on the content as well as their experience and credibility.
- Normal blog posters earn based on the traffic they gain, so it is actually uncertain to tell how much they actually get.

So I guess mastering your English language and put a well informative article about a crypto-currency thrice a week and such a like is a good source of income rather than joining a signature campaign which is spammed everyday is quite good to hear.

And I guess the majority of ppl is learning new cryptocurrency outside this forum, and I reckon that's  why they are earning a decent amount of money from referrals and ask amount of advertisement in their website.

P.S I also have a customer who ask me if I can write a cryptoccurency article base on some game.

He/she might have a website crypto related news website or he could want that coin to be pumped up by writing a story on it. It also could be to educate the audience/newbies in general to know more about crypto currencies. There are a lot more people who still have room to learn and these kind of articles help them.

Sometimes it is just that they are suffering from a mental block, there are only so many ways you can talk about a subject that sometimes you need someone else to do it for you, then you see his article and new ideas and new ways to look at things come to you and now you are ready to write your articles in your blog once again, this is very common that is why many blogs allow guest post in their blogs.
