Title: New member and new to bitcoins.
Post by: Remus on August 24, 2013, 03:13:03 PM
Hello there! I'm Rob, I'm pretty much completely new to bitcoins but I'm being paid in btc so I should probably get to know them a little better. Any help or suggestions is very welcome but I'm really here to sell my bitcoins to who ever wants them.

Also I'm a freelance web developer, so if you want a website with some bitcoin integration (although I'll need some help with the bitcoin part). I'm pretty cheap, get a quote through my website:

Thanks for reading!

Cool :)

sell my bitcoins to who ever wants them.
Simplest in the UK is localbitcoins.com

Or you could spend some on the things you need for your web design business - domains, hosting, reseller accounts and servers :)

Thanks for the welcomes! I was wondering what is the best wallet to use, if I'm doing a lot of transactions? Currently I'm using MultiBit but I've read about Electrum, I don't really understand the differences.

As much as I like the fact that you are paid in BTC, I don't like it being only a way to get fiat money. Have you thought about getting into BTC a bit more? mby reinvesting or buying actual stuff with it? But anyways, people like you are the ones who will help BTC overcome every other currency, and be the way of the future.

Welcome to Bitcoin world, you have red and blue pill in front of you, and you are reaching for blue one, think again :)

I have thought about reinvesting, even thought about buying some more at a later date because I can really see a future for the currency the only problem being at the moment is that I really need the money in £ right now! I'm a student and money is rather tight at the moment  :-\ at any rate, have no fear I plan to be doing more and more with bitcoins!

Well, I am glad to hear that, if you need help with anything particular, feel free to ask me, I know quite a bit about bitcoins and mining (not that I am best around here, but at least I am willing to assist :D )

You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes...
