(face-to-face transactions are generally best for reliability and speed unless you wanna try selling Amazon GCs for BTC. Try something like LocalBitcoins or maybe poke around some of the Freenode channels and see if someone's nearby. For someone recommending exchanges, knowing which country you live in would be helpful.)

True that. Or if you have something you are willing to sell for less than market value. Think garage sale items.

Open an exchanger "Bitcon <--> Western Union" and make a buying price of +12% and a selling price of -12% and you'll earn more than 4 BTC.

4 btc is more than 400 usd. You are not going to get it for free within 2 weeks, considering that 25% of the world population has that amount of money for living for a whole year ...

Only way to mine 4BTC is to spend a whole lot more than 4BTC on hardware.

Get an account on just-dice.com and beg for .01 BTC. People will have pity on you and will give you the .01 . If you are lucky you can build from this small amount. A person there said they turned .01 into 3 BTC. Good luck.

Also on occasion people who have won big will start giving away their winnings. "making it rain". I got .05 BTC this person just wanted to spread his new found wealth. He had just won 20 BTC.

You can always try getting a loan but that isn't going to help your reputation unless you're investing in something profitable and safe. Also, probably nobody will lend 4 BTC to a newbie in the first place so good luck at trying to accomplish the impossible.

I agree. It's like magic in RPGs: you still have to learn spells  (professions), certain spells (professions) require certain levels (amount of brains), which can be gained through constant practice, and all of that requires mana (work).
