Microsoft was using bitcoin for purchases on their website, but it is not working anymore because of the fees.

And no, with the actual fees, do you really think that they are going to use Bitcoin? Maybe they can use their own coin, but they can not ruin their own reputation with a crypto who has fees expensive as the current ones.

Bang on! Microsoft stopped temporarily accepting bitcoin as it happened sometimes previously, but it resumed bitcoin payments two weeks ago:

You can also see Microsoft page:

Anyway, yes, it will take time. Until we have the fees and speed of transactions problems solved it is very unlikely that major companies will start accepting bitcoin.

no point for developers to stop doing their job which they did last 8 years (if they stop - it means that 8 years was just a waste of time).. so it is a time question when we will have solution for high fees and long transactions..

The idea of bitcoin was to create a way to revolutionize finance, the original story is explained in many blogs and news, although the true creator is really unknown. Even so, it has yielded good results, and has provided excellent results for the economy.

Fees are going to slow down bitcoins progress by quite. Just as businesses started accepting bitcoin as a payment, the insanely high fees come and ruin it. I've almost completely stopped using bitcoin and switching to ETH If I need to make a transaction. It's getting ridiculous.

I think many companies will use bitcoin, especially companies whose use is related to the online world, I think Facebook will also use bitcoin and alibaba companies and also companies with other online services, because to facilitate transaction costs for consumers.

Never say never...
These days another pizza day like transaction has happened, it was on the mainnet (bitcoin live chain, not on testnet) where a user has ordered something and payed via the Ligthning network...
https://cointelegraph.com/news/lightning-networks-pizza-day-first-ever-physical-purchase-on-lightning-network (https://cointelegraph.com/news/lightning-networks-pizza-day-first-ever-physical-purchase-on-lightning-network)
So it's happening at the moment, companies are opening payment channels on the bitcoin Lightning network so we just need to wait a bit and it will spread around.

Sure, when they are enlightened about the importance of bitcoin, they will surely use it. At the moment, the ridiculous transfer fees is something else. i hope some should be done about it sooner than later.

In fact, fees are going down at the moment and that is one of the reasons of why the companies should really start to pay attention to cryptos.

But in my opinion, this will only happen once that the LN gets implemented.

Otherwise, they will just ignore all this.

What do you think - which large internatonal companies will use bitcoins?

Amazon is expected more to accept bitcoin payments and if it happens, then it would have a great positive impact over bitcoin price.

Microsoft is the biggest company I know who uses bitcoin, though they stopped accepting it few weeks ago due to the high fees, but then they resumed it.

It is really hard to tell what new companies will start accepting it. It is too violent for companies to accept it. However some processors exist that can exchange it 1:1 which isnt that helpful imo.

Yes, Microsoft being an expert in the technology as well they completely depend on technology. This gives them the trust on the growth happening with technology and had made them accept bitcoin into their business. The acceptance getting pause for a while and getting resumed is good.

By what you have subjected, yes it is a future but saying it the most use worldwide is a bit quite hard to expect. We all know that bitcoin community is constantly rising which helped to patronize it for the large companies. With that, it is a help to merchandise the economy of bitcoin. But not what some others think that some fiats would now be lost as bitcoin rise.

Microsoft has stopped accepting bitcoin, maybe some big companies like facebook and twitter will receive bitcoin as a means of transactions

The fate of bitcoin in the future actually depends on the bitcoiners themselves, if there are still using bitcoin to the future then the future of bitcoin is better and its prospects forward will certainly be more highly developed, if the user or bitcoiner start leaving bitcoin and reach to another its automatic bitcoin will fade and drown in the future, but seen from the facts and facts on the field of transactions on bitcoin is large and the number of demand for bitcoin is increasing even number of users continues to grow from individual to large companies already use bitcoin, an indication that bitcoin will be more advanced in the future.

The mempool is clearing - see the following:

https://dedi.jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#24h

Fees will become normal - it remains to be seen whether merchants will start accepting bitcoin again, but at least the fooror stories about fees will cease.

Bitcoin might have a future as it is still the pioneer of all the coins, however if after years down the road whether it can sustain anot i doubt so as there is more and more upcoming coins with better technology compare to bitcoin. As of now bitcoin is still surviving is due to it as a pioneer and most transaction and places still need it to operate if those requirements are lifted i think it priced will soared down..

Yeah right 'Bitcoin's Fate in the Future' all depends on the Bitcoiner. Why to the Bitcoiner? Because the Bitcoiner is very influential on the development of Bitcoin in the future. Yes the number of Bitcoiners would be Bitcoin will last a long time but if Bitcoiner is getting smaller then Bitcoin will not last long. However, see the current development of Bitcoin seems to be getting better and progress progressively more rapidly from year to year.

One of the biggest problem with Bitcoin newcomers is that they completely misunderstand the basic fundamentals of Bitcoin and its goals for the future. Bitcoin's future is not based on some international companies decision. Let's take banks for instant. People keep asking whether or not banks will accept Bitcoin one day. They think it would be huge for Bitcoin. The truth is Bitcoin does not need approval of some banks, because in Bitcoin you do not need banks. We should be working harder to explain very basics of Bitcoin and the future it promises.

it will be good for bitcoin and for another crypto because they want to try to use cryptocurrency as another option to pay and if it is a success then we can see more companies will use the cryptocurrency too. but if we want to use bitcoin, maybe the biggest problem to solve is about the fee that too high and maybe there is any option to use another coin so we don't have to just pay with bitcoin only. besides that, if we could use another coin, then the chance for cryptocurrency to be accepted by the people is wide open.
