Don't accept old currency, ever. 2) Tell people that go shopping to enter shops and leave them if they say they don't accept bitcoin. Tell them that you don't mind and can pay with cash or credit card but that you insist and will only buy if they give the option of paying with bitcoins to all their clients. 3) Multi-signatures to avoid someone to force you tell your private keys and spend your bitcoins. Someone of confidence will hold on if they see someone is trying to sack your coins. 4) Use VPN and/or tor 5) Use anti-keylogger virtual keyboard. 6) Calculate the bitcoin address of your multi-signature private keys offline. It will come eventually though, so it's a good goal to work toward.
