Title: Selling Bitcoins on eBay
Post by: coinbets.is on August 25, 2013, 09:25:11 AM
Hi everyone,

I've seen plenty on auctions selling bitcoins on eBay, the price it's way above Gox & Co. Is it a some kind of new phishing game or it's really possible to make money this way?

I think there are alway uninformed people, which buy for the high price.

The price reflect the risk involved

Be careful because ebay and paypal can reverse transactions....
And I am not sure that it is allowed by their ToS.

Offering PayPal for Bitcoin? You're likely to be labeled a scammer - Read why (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=164254.0)

Sell Bitcoins for PayPal and you will be charged back and scammed, is basically the idea. So please never even try. There are many stories about it on the forum, even of people who "only sell small amounts like 5 dollar to all different people" (which in the end is 1 person charging back all payments after months, etc.)

This subject is about people coming in the forum, not on ebay.
You can find some legit people on ebay who don't know about this forum, or about bitcoin at all :)

Yes. I didn't really mean anything about the "labeled a scammer" part, I just wanted to provide a topic with more background information, which also explains why selling bitcoins on ebay with paypal is a bad idea, or at least very risky.
