Title: False Transaction BCH --> BTC Post by: SlimInchDesign on January 23, 2018, 08:12:13 AM Hey guys,
I accidentally transferred BCH from bitcoin.de account to my Electrum Wallet 2.7.9 BCH --> BTC doesn't work, now I am aware of it :/ The support from Bitcoin.de wasn't able to help me and advised me to contact Electrum. I hope you can help me, don't know what to do and I'm afraid of lost my coins. Thanks in advance Title: Re: False Transaction BCH --> BTC Post by: HCP on January 23, 2018, 08:38:22 AM Download the latest version of ElectronCash from here: https://electroncash.org/#download
Simply create a copy of your Electrum wallet file and open it with ElectronCash (File -> Open)... all your BCH should show up. ;) Incidentally, you shouldn't be using older versions of Electrum. There was a recently publicised security flaw in all versions prior to v3.0.5. You should update ;) Title: Re: False Transaction BCH --> BTC Post by: SlimInchDesign on January 23, 2018, 12:47:49 PM Thank you very much!
I created a new Wallet with my old seed on my PC I'm not sure how to convert my BCH to BTC. Is it possible to make it with the Electrum Wallet. Sorry for asking, I'm an noob in these kind of things Title: Re: False Transaction BCH --> BTC Post by: ranochigo on January 23, 2018, 01:54:15 PM Thank you very much! You can't convert your BCH to BTC. If you have Bitcoin Cash, it would never appear as Bitcoin. They have separate Blockchains and the records will never be the same after the fork, ie. you cannot change BCH to BTC and vice versa.I created a new Wallet with my old seed on my PC I'm not sure how to convert my BCH to BTC. Title: Re: False Transaction BCH --> BTC Post by: SlimInchDesign on January 23, 2018, 02:20:48 PM My first aim was to convert my BCH to BTC, if you say it isn't possible, must live with that.
In this case, the only possible way should be to transfer it back to bitcoin.de and sell it regularly, am I right? It is not possible to convert them, the BCH transactions are not valid on Bitcoin blockchain. In this case, the only possible way should be to transfer it back to bitcoin.de and sell it regularly, am I right? You need to have an exchange to exchange the BCH to BTC and send it to your BTC wallet. Having compatible addresses =/ same coin.
