Title: Which Bitcoin wallet are you using?
Post by: MiraAntour on January 23, 2018, 08:34:46 AM
Bitcoin wallet is like a bank account, you can get Bitcoin, store them and then send them to others. There are two main types of wallets: a wallet software that you can install on your PC or mobile device. You have complete control over your Bitcoin, but sometimes it's difficult to install and maintain.
I am using Electrum to keep my Bitcoin because my friends told me its the best Bitcoin wallet until now. And you, which wallet are you using?

For me, I use myEtherwallet because it is safe to use and you have your own private key so no one can hack your wallet account. I have no doubt on this wallet that's why I choose this to have a safe wallet account.

If you want something simple to use, Exodus Wallet works fine.
For advance users, Electrum allows you to adjust miner fees.
Hardware wallets such as ledger & trezor are great to store large amounts.

Here in our country we have our own wallet so called Coins.ph it is a digital wallet that we can use to make payments or buy bitcoin. With Coins.ph, we can do the following - even if you don't have a bank account

It is up to you if what kind of wallet you want to choose and it will certainly gonna depend on what country are you from and what exchange you would want you coins to be and if that wallet going to be convenient for for transaction, deposit and withdrawal purposes, Well it's gonna be up to you for picking what wallet are suitable for you, if you want a easy and convenient one go for web wallet, For security purpose then go for a cold storage or offline one, And if you want a physical type wallet then paper wallet and physical coin.

In different countries determine different wallets as the case may be, it all depends on the individual and what exchange you want your coins to be. Transactions also depends on the convenient wallets for it. The blockchain today has lots of wallets providers and i do use the Ethereum wallet mustly, electrum is awesome, block explorer if you just want to check your account without transfering funds.

After the current high trend which suppose to continue up to 50k by the end of 2018 , i am using only secure hardware wallet with offline web access called Trezor and i advise everyone to stay safe from hackers because btc price is very tempting .

I tried different wallets to store BTC and make transactions, Blockchain is the best online wallet since it is secure and support both BTC and ETH (BCH also).
Electrum is the best among all other wallets since it supports SegWit adresses, it is easy to use and safe despite the vulnerability we heard about in the old version.

Same, I can't comprehend keeping my Bitcoin on my computer so that it could get hacked. That seems way too scary of an endeavour and I too take solace in a hardware wallet. Who knows if Bitcoin keeps going up, may have to diversify their too! :D

For me when I start with BTC I'm so confused with what wallet I'm going to use, but after I check on the internet what is the best wallet to use I used the MyEtherwallet this is where I receive and store my BTC. Most of the campaign I join they require me to have MyEtherwallet so they can send the tokens that they will give me... But I am not telling you that MyEtherwallet is the best or the safe wallet that you can use it will depend on the reviews of others it's up to you what you will used or what you want to used.

Bitcoin Hot Stuff is a wallet address that users can use to spend money on any trading activity, at any time, and you always have to connect a hot wallet to the internet to be able to Stay connected to the Bitcoin network.
Bitcoin Cold Storage, on the other hand, uses cold wallets only if you do not intend to use electronic money to spend regularly, but you can still receive deposits from other people at any time. Cold storage has the advantage of having no direct connection to the internet, as it is used to keep Bitcoin offline. Once there is no connection between the wallet and the internet, hackers can not steal money from your wallet.BTCBTC

I use Ledger Nano S (hardware) for storage linked to myetherwallet (MEW). The advantage is that myetherwallet will ask Ledger Nano S to confirm Transactions, therefore making it way safer since you physically must press buttons on the Ledger Nano S in order to transfer your BTC.

Ledger also supports many other cryptos and ERC-20 tokens.

Electrum is surely a good wallet but I prefer Mycelium wallet over it and over any other wallet. I find it convenient to use since has a good interface, smooth and bug free platform to broadcast transactions online. There some additional features which Mycelium offers more than the electrum wallet.
Besides that, electrum had some loop hole in their app recently which made it vulnerable. Although they have solved the issue now, my trust over Mycelium has become stronger now.

you undoubtly mean Electrum not electronium and please note that Ledger and Trezor are hardware wallets, a cold wallet is something entirely different.

Two cents from me: Electrum can actually be paired with Trezor or Ledger to give you increased security too.

I'm using online wallets since I do not trust myself and my hardware enough to keep everything stored on my computer. My main wallet is BitGo, due to it featuring the most major Bitcoin forks (Gold, Cash) and Litecoin.

I use Nicehash as a secondary wallet to store any mining funds I earn.

I am new in bitcoin and I am doubting in some BTC wallet because I think they are not reliable and scam. I was started to install bitcoin wallet in android because I joined in campaign that needs a BTC wallet.
I asked first in my friends in cryptocurrency and they shared to me the BTC wallet for android.  They said that it is goot to use electrum in using PC and Mycellium when using android phone.

Well some of my Bitcoin are on the exchanges like Bittrex, Binance and Kucoin where I can do my short trade and mid term trade and the rest of my Bitcoin which I'm really holding for long time are on my hard wallet which is Nano Ledger S. I suggest that you should buy hard wallet like Nano Ledger S and Trezor because they are more secured that cold wallet like electrum.
