Hi guys, i have read an article that Bitcoin is good as a long-term investment while other altcoin cryptocurrencies are good for short-term investment. Why is that so? Helpful replies will be highly appreciated. Thanks. :)

There is a different opinion. Als are also valuable as much as bitcoin. Both are good for long-term investment.

And I've read an article about bitcoin is bad long term and some altcoins are good long term. Why is that so ?
Because it that person personal opinion, whoever wrote the article thinks this way. For the last time, there is nothing solid in market where there are no regulations and coins and not backed by something real. Yes it's a good place to get rich, but is also good place to lose your investment fast.

The altcoin cryptocurrencies are a good short-term investment because you can easily make a big profit on them when you buy the coins at the start (obviously you can still lose alot). because if you would buy an altcoin at 3 cents each and it rises to 6 cents you already have doubled your money where as bitcoin has to climb from 10k to 20k for you to double your investment.

Yeah. Unless you don't have a few k lying around you might be better off doing some research and finding an altcoin that interests you.

I mirrored my retirement account and am diversified.  I try to have around 5-6 coins that I hold.  Ether and BTC are two of them.  Then I get a mix of small and med cap coins.

It doesn't necessarily need to be that way, but BTC has a good projection for the future and it's held strong for a long time, so it's "less risky" that investing long-term into altcoins. If you find an altcoin that you want to invest in long-term, you can do that too. Some crypto dies, some are successful. Just do your research and make the choice that's best for you.

What I think is Bitcoin suits for short term investment, and other cryptocurrencies must be checked carefully first. A  cryptocurrency with fluctuating price is better for short term investment.

If you're just a beginner in cryptoworld, always try to start with bitcoin because bitcoin is good for newbie. It is good for long term hold. Everyone starts investing in bitcoin.

Bitcoin has a great potential than any other altcoin cryptocurrencies being it the first cryptocurrency, it has more value and will be profitable when invest in long term run.

Its because its the default currency in the crypto world, everybody use it has reference.


If you buy now and the positive future projection became true, you can make money in the long run.

Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency coin and has the most value. All coins start at the bottom and, just like bitcoin, they have the chance to grow. I'm looking at etherium since it's also quite popular nowadays.
