From the past few days the bitcoin has been plunging but as they say things fall before rising up. So any ideas or predictions when bitcoin is going to cross $20k mark?

Doesn't look like anytime soon, we are at 10k now.  Going the wrong direction.  If I had to guess I'd say maybe this summer.

Let's just all wait for bitcoin to go beyond that value, Because no one can really predict when bitcoin's gonna get a bullish run again every time bitcoin plummets like this it is just getting momentum to really get another All Time High again, we can see it in its previous movements that bitcoin does it every first month of the year and taking it from correction and then the negative news it is getting and the add up resistance.

Currently bitcoin is at $ 10k, it could rise to $ 20k in the next few months that we can not predict.

maybe feb/mar it will head upwards to 20K and to 50K  ;D

Just watch the price chart of bitcoin continuously until it hit $20K then we can know the exact time when it reached $20K.

Come on guys really no one knows what is going to happen in the next day so it is impossible to say when the price will hit $20K also.Some experts saying bitcoin will hit $40K by the end of 2018 and some others says it will come under $1000 in 2018.So choice is yours and decide who is saying the truth.

It will come eventually, but just like most of the posters said, no one can really says when can we get to that price. We always did by the way in December, but you know what happens next.  ;D

If you are not comfortable seeing bitcoin in red, then at least wait it out till it recovered. The market seems to bearish and its not getting the way we wanted. But if you have been here for quite sometime now, you will understand what patience and HODL really means in such volatile ecosystem.

I would argue that later May will end all bitcoin slumps and carry bitcoin in triumph again, and carry bitcoin at the price level of $ 20,000 and above, perhaps many people expect faster.

Why are some people always "When will reach 20k$ mark" or "When will bitcoin increase" or blah blah blah. Why don't we just wait for the price to increase and for the meantime, try to invest in bitcoin because we see that its price decreases from around 16k to 10k now. Don't ask this question anytime :). If somebody or all of us know that the 20k$ mark will happen tomorrow or next week then in one week, many will become millionaires.

We cannot predict anything what we can do is just going though the predictions made by the experts and then believe in them that's all that we can do..

Most experts believe that the value of Bitcoins will rise up this year and the bull will be unleashed near March well you know if they are saying March am pretty sure that for the safe side one can consider June ..

Most business men are also making comments as how the Bitcoins can make you a millionaire this year well that's some descent news

But that's all spectulaions we are not sure of anything let's see what happens.

With the current trend and the price of BTC right now? I'd say it would take at least a month to recover and another month to be able to hit that mark. Assuming that there will be no correction during the uptrend.

I think until March is gonna remain low. In March it will rise and maybe it could reach $20k that month.

There are many spamming threads being created in this section but you know once bitcoin discussion is one of the recognized section the forum, but recent days this board completely goes like a dumyard. Even your thread is one of the example for that.
When you want discuss about the price movement, create a thread on speculation board. That would be the right way.
You may find the same query thread here in the forum, keep avoid creating the spam thread buddy. I am sure your thread will help for many spammers. Chaps don't make further posts and drag like a tail to many pages.

I know next month will be higher than $ 20k. If you want this bitcoin investment is very good this month. because I'm sure more and more are investing in bitcoin, and the higher the bitcoin price. And I hope in the middle of this year the price will be higher than the previous price. So you will get many more advantages.

Actually , don't know fixed time. But bitcoin again will get up 20 soon. Just I see bitcoin investment is very good for this month. So bitcoin again up soon month.

I think Bitcoin will get another milestone in the first week of February, I believe that after this price recession, Bitcoin price will increase and the price will be at least 15K within this month.
I know this situation is not up to the mark for an investor or trader. most of them are very disappointed about this price falling and they are eagerly waiting for the price up again. I hope the price of Bitcoin will be high again.

Everything in the cryptoworld is unpredictable be it bitcoin or alternate coin because we don't know what time or day investors will pour their money on cryptos especially bitcoin or when the demand of the people on bitcoin or crypto is becoming high. So if am going to predict, i wanted it very soon sometimes in February.

No one can answer this question even an astrologer can not predict nature of BTC  ;D ;D ::). there are posibility that BTC will cross 20K this year but it is not impossible that BTC may go down to 5K as well :D :D  ::)

Today the lowest price of 1 BTC=$10078 and current  1BTC=$11288. In a day $1000 is up down . It is totally unpredicable about Bitcoin price. May be $60000 will cross in 2018.

In 2013, Bitcoin stood at about $ 100. At that time, nobody assumed that at the end of the year it would cost $ 1000. Today it is more realistic that the Bitcoin prize will reach $ 20k.

Not before summer. In my opinion, until June, bitcoin will cost 12-15 thousand.

At now bitcoin price is around 10000$...in this month more than 4000$ decreased... But I think in the beginning of February it will again increase...hope mid of this year it will reach $20k..

Well, anyone could not directly says that, that day btc will btc $20k but only say this is only a temporary dip for bitcoin at surely it will rise again.sometimes within in a month,couple of month may be before end this year btc will hit $20k

I heard an expert trader in a telegram channel that the next bull targets for btc will be 29K and 49K, i hope the next bull run will be stronger and these targets will be realized.

Well the price of bitcoin is highly volatile right now fluctuating between $10,000 and $13,000, until this volatility dies down a little it is unlikely to see a steady uptrend. As the panic relating to the possible regulatory changes in china is forgotten, bitcoin will slowly begin its ascent back to, and possibly surpassing $20,000. I wouldn't expect this to happen within the next couple of months, as no good news is likely to come any time soon.

I would give it until this summer. A lot of people were scared off by bitcoin due to recent crash, and I think the recovery will be slow.

We dont really know. We are also taking the risk here and trying to just hold it wherever it could go.
The stronger the patience you have then maybe you get the right value of what you are expecting.
There have been a lot who already did regret the times they sold their bitcoins before it took a swing upwards. Dont want that to happen to me again.

Look at last year, it was a different year, less publicity and less greedy investors. It might not do the same this year in terms cost per BTC

Yep its very dificult say what price will be next week but i think it will rise in future it drops as so much FUD s nowdays from South Korea to others so all we must have paticence.

;D The only thing we have at o0ur disposal right now is the chart and following of the trend as it comes, and apparently like you said, no one knows in the next minute the next direction bitcoin would end up stepping to. Just now, it bounced from the 10k support and also like you said, if we get to know the outcome of a trade before it happens, we would all have been stinkingly rich by now.

I do not see it.. Why there are a lot of people worried about the price? This is just normal in here, there are always going to be downtrends and uptrends in here.

In my opinion, the btc price will increase again, but the return of $ 20k is really difficult and may take a long time. But I think high prices are not really the best, at the current price or higher, traders are still able to make a profit, although the risk is quite high when the market is not really stable.

I think if we could invest more on bitcoin we can actually reach at $25000 but panic selling is a hindrance for it. There is so much FUDs which is panicking whenever bitcoin loses its value that will bring a negative movement to bitcoin. Now it's very difficult to foresee when will bitcoin can reach at that point but in less than a year it will rise again.

Nobody really knows when bitcoin will hit that mark. And almost everybody in this world are really waiting for it to happen. It would be so much fun when bitcoin hit that 20k USD mark and going back to its ath and I believe will form another ATH. But this is what my belief is, I believe that after January 26 it will form another ATH. It will reach a new high guys and just wait. It is because of the CME contract of bitcoin, it will expire.

There are too many variables at play here.  Regulations and acceptance will play a huge role.  But no one can actually predict the market.  They are hoping but no one knows.

I checked all history about Bitcoin ups-downs.
So, I think Bitcoin will rise again @ March, but not sure about 20k$.

I am a bit numb to all thesr drops now. If someone took £50k cash off me I would be inconsolable but my portfolio of coins has dropped by this much and I don't really mind.

Not until march. The year 2017 is repeating. In 2017 too we got a great depression at the beginning of the year bitcoin fumbled a bit and just carried its way lightly towards 1000$ slowly and slowly similar thing is going to happen as bitcoin moves closely towards 25K. This time the raise will not be that furious as we saw towards the end of last year.

Impossible to guess, but i think it might have another tip in it. To approx 7-9k, before it will start to steadily rise, until it explodes past 20k before midyear. Right now i think the market is exhausted and need a little time to get over the asia "news". But the whales decide.......

It's hard to conclude an end price of bitcoin this year but let go buyin deep price maybe this guess was true let's take opportunities if we have :)

March 20th, 2018 and that is about as random as a guess I can give. But if I am being really honest I am thinking more like April because you need time to recover and we were just at 20k in December you gotta give these things time and I think a couple months is appropriate time for recovery. Then again we could have 20k bitcoin by February because bitcoin doesn't care about these silly predictions!

There's no doubt in many experienced traders' that btc will touch 20k again. It's just a matter of when, so many aren't being affected with all the fuds and negative critics in the news. I also believe that it's going to happen so as much as i can, i buy btc during this dip

I find this situation quite similar to the one that happened in January 2014. Then, BTC price was about $1000, and after a chain of events, like a ddos attack, US IRS Bitcoin tax rules, and, to top it off, panic selling caused Bitcoin price falling by 50% and even more. Lots of people made conclusions and gave up on BTC, but the smart ones bought it, catching a perfect moment. So 3 years later the price has recovered. I think now more people have learned the lesson: BTC will always recover and even more, so I think it will take 6-7 months for Bitcoin to be $20K again.

Despite the price of bitcoin for the pasted few weeks now have not been encouraging at all, but we all knows that the price of have cross $20k per bitcoin before now and it is possible that the price can still hit it again. Lets still wait and see what will happen as we enters the second month of 2018.

nobody can be sure about the price, btc charts recently with lot W formations. We all hope for that W to sign march back to old highs (19k). First of all we need regulations to make ICO's and exchanges safe for 'old money'.  Regulations will not kill cryptocurrencies.

My prediction and I know this is a big call but I think by December 2018 it will reach 28k - 30k mark just my thoughts and hope I'm right.

Who knows about it, it is so unpredictable to say when it will happen. Nobody can assure you about that and expect it. Despite being reaching a milestone last year, it will come back by this year since bitcoin is gaining again by small to hit that high value again.

Have no clue when it's going to rise again. The price is struggling right now. It's so hard to predict it but as a random guess I'd say in six months. Maybe even more

It's possible to reach the $20k this year sometime in august. But because of is unpredictability we won't actually know what will happen to the price of bitcoin. Let's just wait and see how will bitcoin overcome its struggle with price right now.

Bitcoin seems sluggish to climb back to it's highest market price attained since last year. Since the cryptomarket is unpredictable, we just hope that there will be a massive investment from investors and possibly the correction will push bitcoin's market cap and price drastically anytime of the day this last day of this month or next month.

I reckon it will hit 20k before the end of the year. This is based on the upward trajectory of last year between Jan and Dec. What the market needs is new money and investors coming into the market and the price will shoot up due to this.

I think you can never honestly say when it could happen. There are just cases where you need to analyze it and compute it probably with technical analysis techniques like in trading or something. I don't know how to do that but it can be done, but still, there is no certainty with it. It just so happens that it would only rise there. Probably when Bitcoin has become more popular, and demands would increase.

We can't predict when the bitcoin will reach $20,000.
Now that the price of bitcoin has stopped falling, it is returning to normal.

It will at least take 3 months to reach $20000 mark. So if you invest $10000, you can expect to double your money in less than 3 months which is not a bad deal.

Now adays bitcoin move again at $11000+ and it is better now than before at recent price of around $10000+. the volatility of bitcoin now can be considered as the beginning of $20000 mark, because i believe after of its silence from the recent days bitcoin will surly pump and hit $20000 by the second quarter of this year. let it says slowly but surly.

I don't think that bitcoin will rise soon to 20k$ range and that's because it has no reason to go up there. Most of the consumers sold their bitcoin and now they are waiting a good price to come back as I'm sure that a certain portion of them already jumped back when btc dropped to 9k.

I think that spring, 2018 will be time of altcoins. May be in summer or later we can see BTC price 20k+. Overall I think we can see 30k$ for 1 BTC this year

It's highly possible that it can reach beyond 20k mark as well in the future. Rite now major corrections are happening due to some bad news in the market and performance of these assets as well. Let's see what more is expected in the future and wait for the market to receiver and reap profits.

I really hope that BTC will reach and even exceed $20k mark, so that everybody happy. :) But until then, let's all hold and trust that i will happen in the next couple of months.

Yes, after falling, the price growth of Bitcoin is expected to follow.
But I do not think he will reach 20K again before the middle of the year.

I doubt that Bitcoin will break above $20k in the near-term since there is not enough demand driving price up... I am hoping for good news soon so that Bitcoin can finally start its uptrend once again.

This is the third year in a row where the crypto market has seen a major dip at the same time of year. I think it has more to do with timing than market (not exactly a scientific explanation on my part), so it should come back up in the coming months.

I think this will take a bit more time to return to the $20,000 price point. I guess the only hope we'll have is some whale might deload some of their bitcoins to curb and pump the price up. My guess, bitcoins will surpass $20,000 in 3 months. Don't take my word for it. This is just literally out of a gut feeling.

You have to consider everything over time.In a short time the $ 20k mark can not be possible.It can be done in July by $ 20k mark.

It seems to me that the possibility that the bitcoin resumes its bullish race is closer than many pessimists consider, so instead of wasting our valuable bitcoin in the multiple shitcoins that now exist and promise big returns, we should hold our bitcoins. Today price of the bitcoin  $11,160 and for sure it will increase more  in the next month.  For me I think the price of  the bitcoin become 20k dollars again in the month of february and march. yes, long bitcoin has fallen, and it's hard to get up again, because bitcoin falls from the sky. so it may be dying, some oang rate that bitcoin will die quickly, and some people also think bitcoin will be alive again but slow.
and I judge that bitcoin will rise but in a long time, maybe bitcoin will be normal again and reach $ 20000 more in mid 2018, and at the end reach $ 45000 point.

I often see information about bitcoin prices going up again but I am not getting the exact information about the time and date the bitcoin will go up. I look at that information only '' in 2018 bitcoin prices will go up '' that's what I often see.

I think a positive BTC price climb will take a few months. Past tends show this and I expect a price pick up to begin in March this year. Let's hope it happens earlier though.

Some rumors say that after January 26, first future contracts will expired and that Wall Street will inject 200 billions into the bitcoin as they manipulated the market to get the price down and get Bitcoin as a bargain. So huge bull move ahead of us in February. Let's wait and see....

I'm not one for big wall street conspiracy theories but it seems like after people started to take profits before Christmas at the previous all time high, the enthusiasm of new people looking to make a quick buck has dried up. As soon as a flood of money comes in to the market again there will be a secondary flood of fomo money which will push the price higher again. The rise of bitcoin over Nov and Dec 2017 strikes me as it being overbought and now it is 'oversold' to a degree as people have taken profits (for Christmas/lunar new year) and will likely get back in over the year. That money will bring the 15k price tag which will then be followed by all the secondary money which could push us over the 20k mark.

If you look on the price charts it took a few months in the best case, and almost a year in the worst case for the price to return to ATH after the big price drops in the past. The drop happened only a month or so ago so I don't think we will see large price increase in the new future.
