Title: Hi everyone!
Post by: iconoob on January 23, 2018, 03:41:49 PM
Hi,

I'm pretty new to crypto but it's been all over the news lately so I thought I would dip a toe into the water. I joined up to meet others who might be a bit more in the know than me. Im worried I may have jumped in on a downswing but my friends tell me thats only temporary in the world of crypto. I was thinking I might try ICO's but not sure where to look or even where to start! Is this in your opinion a good place to start? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Reminder: ICO projects are way riskier than just buying and holding coins. First things first, welcome to Cryptoworld you need to study how crypto works to at least give you a hint how to make profit. ICO investment are sometimes profitable and is sometimes just a scam. It will depend on your ability to research the legitimacy of an ICO and its potentials.

the easiest way for newbie to choosing a potential ico project is from an ico valuation platform like icobench or ico platform like kickico.

I think putting money on ICO is a good idea as the big coins are falling and may fall lower. If you buy an ICO, it's price won't fall so much as it will start very low and if you put your money on an ICO which is very hyped, you are going to make money very fast. If it is not hyped, you will have to wait a little more. Choose a new ICO in the annoucement thread. You will have to read a lot, but it is necessary to know where you are putting your money. I think investing in ICO now is safer than Bitcoin. That's my opinion, but everyone can do what he wants with his money.

It is a very good idea but you need to read a lot prior to investing in anything, as there are many profitable projects out there but, at the same time, there are many holes in which you might fall and lose all your money. Thus, I'd recommend you my portfolio, as I am currently satisfied. Check it out:
1. Cointed
2. Giftz
3. ATF
4. Restart Energy
5. Knowledge

Check them out. All of these ICO's are promising and provide high ROI. Additionally, their whitepapers and companies vouch for their credibility. Let me know if you have any questions.

Like said before, with the bitcoin price going down nonstop, it is the right time to redirect your investments to alt coins and ICOs. The list above is really solid. Except for number 5, all the other ones are great ones, in special 1,2 and 3.
But you should slowly and carefully do your research before putting any money into anything. I can say from my own experience that some ICOs seems like a perfect asset and in no time it crumbles to nothing, so be smart!

Do your own research, it will be much more rewarding in the end than listening to someone on here telling you to buy their coin.
Read more, see how things work, invest small, learn more, invest bigger.

Thanks guys all good advice, even if y'all think differently lol! Good to get a decent idea of what your looking at. I found a few listings for upcoming ones. I figured i'd give myself a bit of time to do my research and everything. They all seem to be mostly banking and ways of spending crypto in shops and all that but there was some cool ones in there too. Globitex looks pretty cool and I got a couple of weeks to really look into it. Invacio caught my eye cos its like banking and blockchain and AI all rolled up in one which sounds super cool. Ink looks cool and I saw people talkin bout it in a couple telgrams I'm in and they seem excited. I think whatever I decide I'll start small for a few ICO's and see if I'm any good at pickin winners before I start putting up any proper money. I see some have a minimum you can put in too so I gotta think about what I can afford to lose as well as what I might gain.

Before investing please do some research first about the project. Check the online reviews of the project, you can check the site of icobench.com for ico reviews. And I would recommend PolicyPal, it's a good project to start.

invest in real companies, look at watertech

https://www.watertech.io

Dividend Paying Token, Real ICO startup companies with working products around the globe!

This is an ICO to invest in, not like other "dream ICO's"

Also, I found that China gov. was interested in that product.
They rule over 3000 islands and provide them with water over ships transportations.
On the latest show they did the Chinese was interested buying these modular solar water desalination and place them on each island.

I see what you mean. Invacio was super cool but but like crazy cool, you know. Like so complicated I think I need to get a bit of experience before I put money into something like that. At least understand it you know! But watertech is awesome. I mean its not really blockchain but thats a product that ccould be really huge!

This is the way the market behaves; filled with ups and down . One thing you will learn is that the market is crazy and highly manipulated. So dont worry.

For ICOs, you should pick a project that you understand and have a clear understanding of the roadmap

Going into an investment without understanding crypto is not going to have a good conclusion to their trade. The researching can be completed in 3 minutes, I don't understand why people aren't doing it more.

When everyone just started in crypto it is also something new to them and the route to learning starts from there, you do not need to scared about being late or downswing in the market...... you can choose to learn first and do some bounty if you are able to and invest when you are more comfortable and when the price of the ICO is suitable for you.

As what I think here in crypto all coins are in the same fate in market price. All coins prices experience the up and down of all prices that results of panic every where. I think you can try what you want but don't invest all your money to avoid bankrupt of your own. Stay strong on what you have maybe you can have it for long run. Coins price motion is quiet similar to each other.

it's better you have to learn a lot from your friends to start investing with ICO, and at least you can also judge from dev / managers who promote an ICO, whether it has a positive / negative trust level in this forum.

If you are a newbie, stay away from any ICO, even if the project seems to you VERY good. It is never easy to understand if ICO can give you money if future or not. Better learn more about crypto, watch videos about Bitcoin and altcoins and first start with buying coins and holding them. With time you can deal with trading.

I think you should dont join ICO anymore yet,  due to if you still dont understand the ICO and all the rules in crypto's world,  that just will waste your time and your money friend. So i suggest if you still newbie,  you have to learn all the rules about crypto and just wait until you Jr. Member..  For me,  when i still newbie i just read the forums and i join into group for sharing about crypto..

There are ICO's that are promising but most of them are almost useless and is only good for profiting purposes. No clear road map, no clear plans of their future and support details on what will be the use of their coin.

Choosing what ICO will benefit you is a mystery from the beginning. Hard and soft caps are attractive but we can't tell if they have clear intentions of providing what they are trying to follow with their whitepapers.

You will end up trading that token from ICO to bitcoin so before you'll get there why not be there already and start trading?

Know ICO also right time to invest. But you are new to this forum so you should not clear in crypto market. I suggest to gain more knowledge in this forum then you can start investing ICO or any platform. Because don't blankly invest in cryptocurrency. ICO is more difficult to predict the future possibilities in current scenario many shit ICOs also available in market. So try to develop your skills then you can invest in ICO.

Make investment in ICO promising high profit but to get it we have should be spend alot of time to analysis and research any ICO to know which ICO will has big potential. And good ICO is project that has working product and clear mision and vision. But to make profit in cryptocurrency market not only from ICO but also we can make it just by hold strong fundamental coin, so divide your money by good portfolio will minimize risk of invesment and maximize the profit..

There are many icos out there and finding one that has potential is harder than just buying and trading coins that are already on the market. If you are going to buy into any ico I would only invest what you can afford to lose. You have to consider that money invested as already lost when you buy in. It could take a while to see returns. If you have done your research and the coin does really take off once it hits exchanges then your next problem is going to to be where to exit from it.

I would suggest looking into ICOs but before you do so, read about them, visit their website, check the whitepaper and look into the teams. You need to do good research before investing in any ICO. Having said this, i was participant in trade.io a few weeks back and now im looking to participate in the DIW Token whitelist which is open now.

Later , try trading on the stox exchange, with the accumulated money and special knowledge you can already invest directly in ICO. As they say : "Do not rush to live ".

Yes, but unfortunately even after people have found this forum they are not ready to make use of this forum as they themselves assume like they are too late to get into crypto world. Because they do compare what people have earned in last years with what they can earn now a days. When they are not comfortable they are not getting ready to work hard for making themselves suitable for the opportunities provided by crypto world.

In my opinion, they must work for the future prices of cryptos. Because this is how the entire crypto world is working. We cannot expect to earn 50 bitcoins for finding one block how in 2010 miners were earning. I mean to say, this is not too late for any one. We are still in the beginning dates of cryptos.
