Title: 2x1050ti's 4GB vs 1x 1060 6GB
Post by: Kaka666 on January 23, 2018, 06:34:29 PM
Hello, I've got some questions here so maybe some experienced miner can help put some light on the topic.

currently there are no 1060 6 GB cards I wanted to buy to my 1st rig and IF there are the price is ridiculous to the point there is no point geting them. (420$ is a bit too much) - especially this is just a small income side job for me.

Then I noticed there are 1050ti 4 GB on stock right now and I'm wondering if this is not more viable option right now, just go 2x1050ti's and get started now because who know's when 1060's are back in stock?

Any opinions on 1050ti's? should I go for 2x 1050ti build right now instead 1x1060 ?, theory says (whattomine) that 2x1050ti will have a bit more hasrate than 1x1060 6GB power consumpion will rise to 120 W from 90 W but it will boost my income slightly.

Thank you for your time aswering my question.

I run 2x 1050 Ti's for that very reason that they are available.  I'm doing about 0.0004 to 0.0005 BTC a day on Nicehash. Power consumption is about 50 to 65w depending on which algo as I have TDP turned down to 75 to 90 depending on algo as well.

that is very nice man,  good results on a budget build. any specyfic memory? or all 1050ti's comes with same?

I have a rig 5x1050ti and I am very happy because in little money you can get a good income for the budget farm. Each card gives approximately 15.5 Mh/s when mining Ethereum. In addition, this rig can be easily place in my apartment and it will not be greatly disturbed.

They are Samsung memory (thankfully!!), and do about 14.9 MH/s on Eth, but I mine Neoscrypt on them right doing about 500 KH/s on each card.

Is it really worth it to mine ETH with them?

Here in Croatia 1050 is about 50% more expensive than RX560, and they have 15+ MH/s too in ethash
