Sure for 99 percent that the litecoin will cost even more as much as $ 300 as it's a really improved version of the bitcoin.

Maybe if it absorbs some new features from Bitcoin it may rise again. On the other hand if Bitcoin Lightning is successful a lot of altcoins lose their purpose.

In may at 25$ people were saying that litecoin was never gonna go past that and see where we are now. I'm not invested anymore in Litecoin but in my opinion it will probably keep going up since it's the close brother of BTC.

If you look at the values from April 2017, you can see that Litecoin was at about $ 7. Since then, Litecoin has a value increase of about 5000% ($ 346) until December 19. Due to the correction or the crash (choose the term that you like better), the price has fallen to about $ 180. Look at the facts and you will notice that Litecoin is far from "done". I think Litecoin will come in at a much higher price than $ 300 this year.  ;)

I think Litecoin has a bright future, for as long as BTC become more expensive, so does Litecoin. Do not forget all the altcoins performs in straight relationship with Bitcoin, so if BTC rises its price, so do altcoins.

Let me explain myself: for instance, you want to buy some Litecoins. Well, you will need to buy BTC first and then you can change your BTC for Litecoin. If BTC´s price is, for example, $ 10.000 and Litecoin´s value is 0.1 BTC, then 0.1 BTC is going to be its price. So, if BTC´s price changes to $15.000, Litecoin will still be in 0.1 BTC, but it has another price in dollars, of course. Then the altcoin market is controlled by the BTC value.

Yup, I see lots of potential.
Litecoin is not done yet, I would get a bunch of LTC before Bitcoin gets more recognition from the press.

Investment: a thing that is worth buying because it may be profitable or useful in the future. So yes, LTC is an investment.

Yes litecoin was an investment when it's value was under $50 but now I don't think litecoin can make a better investment as it's going spiral downward from last couple of months still if we are looking for a long term investment of more than 5 years then we can consider litecoin but again just a reminder that there are many other coins which worth more than litecoin.

No need to worry the value of Litecoin is Bitcoin's summary, if Bitcoin goes well, you can be sure that we will see high prices in Litecoin, we all know that there is no rivalry between Bitcoin and Litecoin but rather a large bond that corresponds the values, observe the graphs. Another factor that we can agree is that Litecoin already has a lot of market time and deserves high value, so it remains a good investment in the medium and long term.

Whether it's an abundant stock or fast transactions, the number of users using Litecoin should increase exponentially. On the one hand, lightcoin, along with other digital currencies, is tied to the BTC. In the sense that increasing use of BTC results in a higher acceptance rate for the remaining digital currencies.
On the other hand, both with SegWit and with the Lightning network, Litecoin has the potential for scaling far beyond what bitcoin can do. If you are not familiar with the SegWit or Lightning network, then you need to know that they are technologies that allow digital currency transactions to be accelerated at low costs. All of the above factors should influence the Litecoin forecast for 2018.

Litecoin is still my go to coin when I want to transfer money around. It is relatively well known that pretty much all exchanges accept it, the fees are low and the transactions are very fast. I think litecoin is not done, and the price will increase again some time in the future.

My friend Litecoin is the main competitor of bitcoin in terms of transactions. I think Litecoin will go through that price or even more so expect a huge return. the correction always materialize buy and hold!

After the CEO leaving ltc has not come into swing again so far. As long as bitmain keeps selling high end miners specifically for ltc I would not be too worried about it. As long as they are selling the miners they are also mining it themselves.

LTC is one of best coins for payment.  It can go near to 300 or above of course. the danger for LTC is BTC lightning technology which will bring low fee and speed to BTC. The biggest damage of lightning is for BTC Cash I think

Well, it is better than bitcoin, but there are coins with technologies far more superior and yet they don't have a chance of succeeding, as there are too many of them already. What is really making ltc special is probably the fact that the coin is old and people got used to seeing it around and trusting it. The creator of the coin is not a bad leader as well and that provides another reason to believe in the coin. And I do agree it will rise again. The current price is still good to buy, it is about 80% down its max already.

Firstly I think litecoin will always be around even when bitcoin gets lightning.
It is a useable coin, fast transactions and cheap transactions, something Bitcoin cannot do.
It is also a great coin to date to bank on because of its relative stability.
Last year it grew 7000% compared to bitcoins 5000%

My first purchase was Litecoin - at that tiny ATH in early December.
As an investment I feel that for the time being, due to the usability of Ethereum and Bitcoin getting an upgrade, Litecoin will not give as big a return as Ethereum or maybe NEO. I currently use Litecoin for purchase on Coinbase due to it being faster and cheaper to transfer than BTC. But when BTC gets additional faster features, I will rather use that since that or Ethereum is used as training pairs in the exchanges I use.

Personally I would not invest due to the negative sentiment in the general crypto environment. Everyone knows how important sentiment is.

Quite agree with this statement. Just if You buy now it would be only 20-30% of its max price and if You compare with BTC it is 55% of its max. price. So I believe it has more potential to growth than BTC in the middle terms.

Why do you think that? There is no reason that litecoin will not rise above $300 again. I think litecoin establishes exactly how bitcoin has become established. When bitcoin was at $100, only very few believed that it will continue to rise. As long as there is a community that keeps the coin alive, a lot is possible! Litecoin has dropped massively over the past few weeks, but that's about as good as any good coins. I think it was just the correction that litecoin has sunk and I think he will rise again massively in the next few weeks / months.

Litecoin is starting to get negative press - so much so that the press is writing about it:

Quote
Litecoin Getting Hate: 5 Biggest Criticisms Against LTC

Litecoin has had a quite good public image in 2017, adding to the phenomenal rise from around $4 to a peak of $370. However, as the digital asset came into the spotlight, and the Litecoin Foundation tentatively started to promote Litecoin more, criticisms appeared. Popularity came with closer scrutiny, and a previously drama-free coin acquired its own negative points.

1. Litecoin was artificially inflated

2. Litecoin is not actually used that much

3. The Lightning Network is still missing

4. Charlie Lee has abandoned the project

5. Litecoin is boring, but not boring enough
