2017 year was breakthrough for BTC but nowadays it came to the correction of the price, I hope that price will crawl back to the 20k or more and the main thing is that BTC will remain there for some time to establish the market, now everything is crazy. :D

It is normal that the constant stream of FUDs comes out there to harm bitcoin reputation to bring price down after all whales that tries to manipulate bitcoin price only wants it's price down for them to rebuy at a cheaper price.  Bad news concerning ban of bitcoin on some countries are just normal right now even if it is real or not because some countries cannot regulate it and FUDers use this fact to create rumors too.

Year 2017 is really bitcoin's year. No one expected that it will pump that high. Many of the holders really gain a huge profit. Hoping that 2018 also give bitcoin a big hit than 2017, even though we are experiencing a decrease in price that some holders are panicking to that event (and yes, i am one of them). Just still holding bitcoin, because im.still hoping that it will gain more value rather than we have last year.

So far, bitcoin had broke its record and became very popular in 2017 especially on the last quarter where it had reached to a very remarkable mark on it's market price value. With this, many people had been inspired to invest on bitcoin more due to such unexpected rise in the market price value. Bitcoin's reputation had made many large corporations  around the world using bitcoin currency in their monetary transactions. It is not as good as what you think, as it becomes a global craze, so a lot of people follow the trending and have failed, losing everything they have. Investing when it's too high as something happy but getting back is just sadness when making stupid decisions.

I agree to the fact that bitcoin became popular in the year 2017 because of its value which reached $20,000. Unfortunately, a sudden dropping of value happened to bitcoin which also indicate that there are people who turn their coins into fiat. yes, I agree with you that bitcoin peak is in 2017 but at the end of the year sometimes bitcoin prices are experiencing a decline, but I am very born from the market that bitcoin is slowly rising again and it will continue to increase in 2018.

Yeah, bitcoin started becoming popular in 2017. That was a golden year for bitcoin especially for those who hold bitcoin since the earlier time. Also it made another cryptocurrencies getting more popular and of course the blockchain technology. Many news channel in my country started put bitcoin as their headlines and it appealed people in my country to learn about bitcoin even though many people ended up skeptical about it as the news always spreaded the cons of bitcoin instead of the pros especially the blockchain technology.

What I can only say is that it keeps on getting popular every year. There are a lot of people who actually knows bitcoin compared before were they only think it was an online money or currency. What I also notice is that the alternate coin trading is getting more and more popular. Investors keeps on coming and there are more ICO's this year. I know there are a lot of alternate coins but ICO's keeps on popping everywhere. Maybe because of the demand. Its just insane and I can't find words to explain it.

the funny thing is, the bitcoin price last year in January was $1000+ when the year started then started struggling like this year and fell down as low as $750 and stayed below $1000 for a while before breaking out and starting the real rise.

If last year was a reflection of the following year, that means we will prepare a return on March with a 49% return to new high rate and a breakout at the end of the first semester in June with a 65% return to new high and so on. I think that effect was seen earlier also. The only thing was that, bitcoin gained the prices like $2- $100, $100-500 and so on. The net effect on the % hike was almost similar to what we are seeing today. However, the economic balance which it gained over the decade is really remarkable and no other currency can bit that thing at all.

But I want to point on one thing here, there were many forks in between and the china fall was one of the event when most of the people failed to hold the bitcoin and sold it at very low prices. It is indeed that 2017 is the best year for bitcoin but we must not settle on that we are just heading the beginning of 2018 though it may not start very well due to 50% drops on its all time high value but we must be positive and believe sooner it will appreciate again and will reach even a much higher price.
