Title: Does avalon's power regulators and other components need active cooling? Post by: tarui on August 26, 2013, 01:27:09 PM I'm referring to those components like mosfets, capacitors, etc need active cooling?

Does the stuff rub off? Is it actually rust, or some sort of organic sludge (ever seen the inside of a smoker's PC? VR on hash modules are cooled this some way as ASIC and by air flow. My VR work fine on air cooling. Moded to 1.2785V and supply overclocked chips 400Mhz (~ 400Mh/s) The temps on mosfet are lower than on avalon chip. Don't worry about them.
