Title: Does avalon's power regulators and other components need active cooling?

I'm referring to those components like mosfets, capacitors, etc need active cooling?

components to the left, above the asic chips itself

I was thinking whether should i route water channels in a waterblock over these components or just route somewhere near it and let rest of the waterblock conduct heat away from the components.

btw, does your "chokes" look something like this? rusted?

That rusting looks very odd... Has it been running in a humid environment?

normal air  is 60-85% humidity? under aircon, which i try my best to, is ard 40-50%

Well that certainly shouldn't result in any condensation that could cause rust, unless theres salt spray getting into the unit somehow (lol).
Does the stuff rub off? Is it actually rust, or some sort of organic sludge (ever seen the inside of a smoker's PC? It isn't pretty)

If You are in original Avalon design (case) remove dust from all parts, especial from fans and heatsink.
VR on hash modules are cooled this some way as ASIC  and by air flow.
My VR work fine on air cooling. Moded to 1.2785V and supply overclocked chips  400Mhz (~ 400Mh/s) The temps on mosfet are lower than on avalon chip. Don't worry about them.

simply watercooling
