Title: Newbie mining rig Post by: herener on August 26, 2013, 10:33:03 PM Hey I've been a lurker on these boards for a while. I'd like to upgrade from lurker to participant if possible. ;D
Here is my mining rig currently 47 ASICminer USB sticks along with a 7970 and two 7850's producing about 17 Gh/s. I started with buying from Newegg/Ebay and graduated to buying through group buy's. https://i.imgur.com/4Mtekyg.jpg?1 Thoughts? -herener Title: Re: Newbie mining rig Post by: hahla on August 26, 2013, 10:58:20 PM Looks nice! I got my single USB Block Erupter in the mail a few weeks ago, its a fun to mess around with. I like how you have ever thing setup.

What's the price on a setup like yours and how much do you make mining? :) Title: Re: Newbie mining rig Post by: andrewxlr8 on August 27, 2013, 07:13:43 AM That's a pretty sizable rig. It's safe to say I am mad jelly.
How are you finding the BE's coping with being so close together? Also, have you ever had your hash rate gradually decrease over a couple of days (and then have to restart your mining software)? This seems to happen to me about once a week. I hope your window is North facing... ;) Title: Re: Newbie mining rig Post by: panck4beer on August 27, 2013, 07:33:54 AM Here is my mining rig currently 47 ASICminer USB sticks along with a 7970 and two 7850's producing about 17 Gh/s. Title: Re: Newbie mining rig Post by: sr_miner on August 27, 2013, 07:45:35 AM It's very nice rig... ;)

I have the GPU's mining BTC because I am trying to squeeze out as much BTC as I can. :) I probably should have them mining lightcoin and convert the LTC to BTC though. Just haven't researched LTC enough to make the jump yet. Having the miners so close together doesn't seem like a problem, they don't get that hot. I run bfgminer and haven't run into the issue you describe. They seem to mine at a fairly constant rate. https://i.imgur.com/HnZfd9H.jpg -herener |
