or do you just hope it will takeoff and if it doesnt you can say, hey it was beta. Title: Re: PiCoin [PCN] - beta release announcement Post by: JoeMattie on August 27, 2013, 01:41:32 AM Can't seem to mine against the daemon...

I don't think it'd be exactly fair to anyone that's been mining it to reset the coin to zero. Has the blockchain already split into two? not that i'm aware of. let me look into it. Title: Re: PiCoin [PCN] - beta release announcement Post by: dupee419 on August 27, 2013, 02:40:26 AM so you're really gonna take that name for a pointless copycat which has nothing more to do with pi than some parameters? aww man. as it says above "totally pointless". I just built it for the fun of it. You didn't read the question. Mathematically, it's kind of pointless to calculate digits of pi beyond a certain point. The description states "crypto-homage to the circle" so digits of pi as parameters made sense. Got a better name for it? anyway? beyond that, isn't just about every coin out there a clone - for the person that asked: it's scrypt. Has the blockchain already split into two? I have the same problem, please help me, please send me some coin, my address is: 9ugJa87naPXV5obKV4HpysZqEkQfekLU5D One more thing, you should modify block 1508 checkpoints which you defined in checkpoints.cpp, just comment this line in checkpoints.cpp: //( 1509, uint256("0x000000e4fae39746f10875c24334d6441c77d1ead055061cc6ab237ea535af6b")) I compiled a windows version of PiCoin, Windows QT for PiCoin can be downloaded here: https://copy.com/whtQNSNp6gvJ Title: Re: PiCoin [PCN] - beta release announcement Post by: dupee419 on August 27, 2013, 06:39:07 PM i'm going to reupload to github with the new checkpoints file. please update your client.

Also the 5er you sent my way. Thanks :D!
Just to let you know, if there ever comes a TauCoin, I will disregard the imposter. It may act tough being twice as big as Pi, but I'm loyal to the original! Title: Re: PiCoin [PCN] - beta release announcement Post by: Miki77 on August 27, 2013, 07:51:44 PM Port, please. :)

Minimum information about a coin. Even did not write that coin is scrypt. How much is premine? Title: Re: PiCoin [PCN] - beta release announcement Post by: xelite on August 29, 2013, 03:33:58 PM A6ydjEzVHTp5s2RPdWc8d9p2QFfwcH7AgS

Look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=279633.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=279633.0) This coin isn't meant to be taken so seriously. There was no premine, I mined genesis and released the code to anyone that wanted to mine it. That said, thank you to those who actually ran it. I'm impressed. I will keep working on the coin and updating as long as people keep mining. Title: Re: PiCoin [PCN] - beta release announcement Post by: dupee419 on October 11, 2013, 04:50:52 PM pailure coin? here's my dilemma.... I can update the code to eliminate that problem, but I can't update the windows qt cuz I know jack shit about coding for windows. It could be made to work again for linux users, but windows users would be left in the dark. I don't know that I want to do that to people. If anyone would like to help, I would appreciate it. Otherwise I need to let the coin die. Title: Re: PiCoin [PCN] - beta release announcement Post by: Miki77 on October 17, 2013, 06:38:02 PM Too bad. :( This coin may could become very interesting.
