Title: Difference Between Merit and Smerit
Post by: Honte on January 25, 2018, 05:56:42 AM
Dear All;

I wonder what is difference between Merit and Smerit, I checked many post and different topic about it but I couldn't recognize it.

First of all, We will earn Merit, see on our profile as Merit and we will vote to post of other members with earned Merit. That's fine till here, but What is

Smerit ? Smerit will disbturb by system as automatically for each members right? and then we will vote  with Smerit to other post after that voted other

members will give vote with half of our sent votes to them.

Well, Then Smerit or Merit convertible each other? who will disturb Smerit to us and which frequencies? finally It will be Faucet which grow up with donation

 for Smerit and Merit?

I will apperciate that, If someone direct to me topic that explained all details as above.

Thanks in advance.

Lutpin to the rescue!

You have Merits, those you cannot send.
You also have sMerits, those you can only send, they have no other purpose.

When someone gives Merit to you they lose sMerit of the amount transfered and you gain Merit as well as sMerit (which in case you can send again).

Example: Should I send 10 Merit to you for a post, my sMerit would decrease by 10.
Your Merit would increase by 10 and your sMerit would increase by 5.

Merits are exclusively earned, but the sMerit part you also get keeps the circulation flowing.

(Ignoring merit sources here, for the sake of making an easy example.)

(It's the first reply in the announcement thread, I guess that still isnt visible enough :( )

Can you give explanation what is that "merit sources"? Is it a particular section of the forum where users that will post there will automatically recieve merits or is it a group of users that have extra Merit to give users?

Merit sources are special users that gain additional sMerit (source merit) every month.
You can think of those like a bonus balance, a merit source can reward a lot of Merit without having the need to gain any Merit themselves.

This all is mentioned and discussed in the announcement thread. You can read about it there.
