Future of online currency will be a mainstream or it's popularity will wane?

In my opinion, this coin has all chances to become a mainstream of currency. 

I think a few years Bitcoin will rise in price. Experts predict the growth rate in 2019. Bitcoin will be worth more than 20 thousand dollars.

I think bitcoin will become a mainstream cryptocurrency, because this coin is realy famous in the world, almost everyone knows, so everyone who is interested with investment in cryptocurrency will choose bitcoin for invest, bitcoin price is very fast going up, going expencive day by day and fluktuatif,  I thinks the bitcoins price will be more expencive than now because this coin are hunted by investors to invest their asset for their future. This is the reason bitcoin become mainstream in cryptocurrency world.

I believe it will become a mainstream Value of Store as opposed to a mainstream Medium of Exchange; it seems to already be heading in this direction.

When people make predictions like this, there is need to support it with basis or else, its just a mere wishful thinking and price don't just increase based on things like that. Whether bitcoin will become a mainstream currency, its a chance at the same time whether in the next year we might have moved to something else, its also a possibility. So everything is based on chance and nothing is certain not even what will happen tomorrow.

cryptocurrency is a quick, easy and comfortable way of payments.
that's why in the future its consumption will increase for this reason, its price will be much higher and will become stable.

Its possible but is also difficult because many People dont see bitcoin as a currency, they see it as an asset and  they dont see it as steady as fiat currency. The other problem is the transation not as simple as normal currency. And the fees that make it even more difficult for small things

What do you think? Bitcoin is getting popular more and more everyday. Bitcoin is even accepted in most online stores.

i think the price will go up so high but i doubt i can be a currency because the price keep go up and down. imagine today u have 20btc worth 20k per piece and the second week it drops to 10k per piece?

Honestly, I think it would have already been mainstream, but it encountered hiccups in terms of its scalability which made users think twice about using it again as a payment platform.. I was really hoping that Bitcoin could change the world, looks like that day might be postponed.

What's cool to think about is that if the price does get high -there will still be people purchasing Bitcoin and the other crypto's.

I will become sure for 100% he by one of the main currencies, in general I am completely confident in fast demand of cryptocurrencies

Of course the popularity will only grow, soon all will pay online. In China, almost nobody uses cash.

bitcoin will continue to rise. As predicted by experts. By 2018 the bitcoin price could rise to $ 50k. and it will reach $ 100k in 2019.

Not just bitcoin.
All cryptos will be something big in the future. We will just need to wait for it

If developers succesfully launch Lighting Network Bitcoin can wiil be a mainstream of currency.

When you say mainstream, I'm assuming that everyone, regardless of any nationality / countries, we are still too far from it. Maybe in the future like 5-10 years will be see in becoming mainstream. However, there are a lot of issues going on, like governments having strict regulations, so its really hard to say for certain.

But I still think that crypto or bitcoin are really popular nowadays with all the media hype around it. But again, its really boils down to regulation and the whole scaling drama. Right now many have been reporting about the high cost of every transaction and its not suitable for them anymore. But if the problem could be resolved, I think that we can gain the trust of the public again and it will be just a matter of time before it will be mass adopted in the future. Let's see how everything turns out specially when they release LN.

Governments around the world is too worried about on how bitcoin is going to be used and spent by the people.

As per my conception, Bitcoin going to make richer to everyone. And soon in the coming era, won't be finding poor people.
Is this really gonna happen, which means world goes online and no fear From politics but though hackers would be coming in a a face of politics.

Yes to cryptos being mainstream, not necessarily for Bitcoin, it has to be faster and cheaper if it wants to become a world currency. However I do see a whole freedom of choice when it comes to currency like we have with the internet and a relative freedom of choice for the information we ingest.

Being worth more that $20k is no prediction, since it doesn't say how much more it will cost. We already saw $20k, so to make a difference it should cost about $50k by 2019. As for it being mainstream, well, I find it hard to believe that all those old people counting everything they have will manage to deal with those huge fees as well as price fluctuations people have with bitcoin. Not to mention that many people are against all this technologization and are hardly comfortable even with fiat on debit cards.

No one knows for sure (with any degree of certainty). Having said that, most agree the future is bright. That statement does have a few caveats. The following is my prediction:

Yes, undoubtedly bitcoin will continue to be mainstream on the field of cryptos for a long time, because it has the advantage of being the pioneer, and therefore of having more time positioned in the minds of investors, because in the end those who have made the subject of cryptocurrencies something popular are those who have found in this market a source of easy and quick wealth, and the paradigm of the success of bitcoin will be remembered over the years as an eternal reference of success and profitability of a good idea.

Personally, I look at Bitcoin as long term investment and as a currency. Although you can use Bitcoin as a currency as it was developed as a currency which can be used for transfers also but still I feel there are many improvements to be done in Bitcoin before it can used as the mainstream currency for using daily. The transaction fees and speed are a major problem. It makes no sense to wait for so long just to buy a thing from a retail shop.

Bitcoin is being accepted worldwide, many countries in the European Union are having its issues with bitcoin but despite that, it is being used in banks and different financial institutions around the world so yes it is at the verge of being accepted on a global scale.

Bitcoin was once started out as a currency and wanted to be a mainstream currency considering all other currencies lose value yet bitcoin gains value, however with the ETF route bitcoin is taking unless we have a sudden change in the use of bitcoin with more places accepting it and more people using it on daily basis, bitcoin will become some sort of commodity and not currency.

It is used as if its gold, silver, stocks, bonds and so forth, it is used as a middleman to make more fiat currency and not used as a currency itself. Hope that changes one day because that would make it a lot better for all of us. Probably governments has been cheating us for hundreds of years with their fiat system which may get regulated in coming years just due to bitcoins.

I think with our younger generation getting involved with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, it is possible that bitcoin can become a mainstream currency. I think this will push industries to accept cryptos and see its potential in payment, banking and investment.

I think Bitcoin will always be the number 1 cryptocurrency and its value will only grow with time. Many crypto-currencies that do not have a technological advantage over Bitcoin are completely meaningless.

Bitcoin is the first of the Crypto-currency. Throughout the life of this crypto currency number 1. At the end of 2017, he demonstrated a peak value. But this is not the limit.

It has already become such cryptocurrency. BTC it the real giant on the cryptocurrency market and I think it will be pioneer in the future as well.

I think that in the future we will use only cryptocurrency. I think that the popularity will grow every day. Btc has got its part of popularity and I hope it will be the end of such being like mainstream. Especially it is very important because of btc's dominance on the cryptocurrency market and this popularity plays the leading role here.

Well consider all the facts right, bitcoin out of all the currencies in the world and all the cryptocurrencies in the market is the sixth largest currency in the world, its market capitalization is that close to many developing countries so yes you could say that it is the mainstream of currency.

Bitcoin has gotten the attention of the very important personalities in Finance, Business and in Politics snd they all have agree thst bitcoin could actually be first global currency!

In my opinion, bitcoin can only become digital gold, which will take its place next to classic gold. It is too slow to be able to pay for goods in stores, and the fees are too large. I think the mainstream will be something else.

If lightning network works as advertised, it might happen

It's already popular and might gain more popularity but I doubt it will become a mainstream payment medium because of greedy banks and the knowledge of people to blockchain technology.
