I have a small amount of coins staking on my wallet and Nomadcoin's POS reward is fixed at 50 coins per block. I don't know the minimum input required to have the coins staking though. I just noticed that my wallet receives stakes every three days.

If you're using the GUI wallet, pass the mouse's cursor over the nomad logo at the bottom-left of the screen (it'll provide the expected time based on your proportion of the network-weight).  If you're using a command-line wallet, the "getstakinginfo" command will give you that same info.

I don't know about the other pool but Cryptohub seems to be staking about 1.4 NMD per day per 1000 in my account; this is roughly the rate of stakes generated in my local wallet (which I don't keep up 24/7 though).  From that -- although this is not a very robust calculation (a quick five-day evaluation/sample-size  ;D ) -- that equates to about a 50.9% expected return over the course of a year -- on staking (and ignoring possible price-appreciation).  [ The math is: getting a daily percentage return by dividing the stake-amounts-generated by the wallet balance then, getting a longer-term average over the evaluation-period and then multiplying the ~0.0014 by 365 which yields a little above 50% ].

Based on that admittedly-rough/non-exhaustive empirical estimate (and a little trial-and-error with a calculator) then I suppose about 35,800 NMD should on average generate a stake daily in a local wallet if you're staking 24/7 (35,800*0.0014 = 50.12) .

Like some other coins, the local wallet seems to generate lucky streaks on a given day (several stakes one day, relatively few the next).

NMD has a good community.

We are getting things ready to implement an auto-updater/management software what it is is a singular .exe (cross compatible to Linux and Mac) that manages your wallet, data folder/files, and keeps things up to date.

if it was current it would just have the ability to launch the wallet or manage its files and data directory
also the ability to download and inject a snapshot, so no need to long sync times, done for you
in other words an intuitive system that removes the need for user intervention.

when updating the coin it just gets pushed through the updater.

allowing users to update simply by a click of a button upon being notified automatically through the wallet or the launcher.

both are good for staking but the best for staking coins is the nmd discord community server staking tipbot.

Because it is for nomads by nomads and as the years have pasted there has been an uproar of new nomads coming out the wood work and they are a band of travelers that spread wealth around the country as they travel. Update - 08-13-19

Nmd coin explorer is now on it's own hosted vps. the website is also now vps hosting and has updates..

Nmd coin tipbot went down about a month ago. unfortunately it has been brought to my attention that the bot developer was in a savier car accident and had died a few days after..

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends it is truly a sad time for nmd coin..

With this little speed bump we are working towards getting this issue of held coins to be returned to users of the server tipbot.

with this we are now in the works of developing our own nomad bot.  Hopefully it will be launching very soon..

the explorer has had some issues but as i am still learning the explorer admin stuff i might be a minute to get it functioning right,.. please bare with me.. and don't give up on nomad coin. because i am not..

Node's been down for a while. I was in the process of upgrading my pool servers and life got in the way. costs also.

i have a copy of the QT file for windows only, but not the source to fix issues.
And i run the node on Ubuntu, so am after the source to build it for that.
