Yes, Epochtalk is responsive. Try it yourself, visit https://beta.bitcointalk.org from your mobile device.

What about this main forum?

What about this main forum?

This forum (Bitcointalk.org) will "soon" change its software from SMF to Epochtalk. Epochtalk is just the name of the new forum software, by the way. Talking about the migration to the new forum software, I think we're almost there. My safe bet is by 2019 we will be using Epochtalk already.

Basically you are in the "trash" right now.

I wonder if this new forum has an IP restriction?

Do you have to register again for that?
When I try to login with current credentials it says "invalid credentials"

Also, posts don't show up.
The boards show up like they do on this forum but no posts show, everything is blank even though the post counter is correct.

Initially, you had to reset your password in this page[1] to be able to login. But looks like it's not working anymore and you will only get a "You have been banned from performing this action. Please contact an administrator." message when trying to do anything.

Also, posts don't show up.

The dev still has to migrate all the data from the old forum (this one) to the new software. That's why most boards are empty and you can't find a recent thread there.

The beta forum isn't ready to be used anyway.

Thank you.
I really wish it was working and I could try it out.
The UI looks much more better than this one.

I've just made a post on the Meta board regarding a quick-fix mobile-responsive solution that's already available.  The post is here:

I can't connect to the website? Is there any problem? I want to give it a try.

I hope that in the new forum there is a "back key" without going back to the first page of the section.

It's been off for some time. But there wasn't many things you could try anyway (maybe if you wanted to see the design, which now you can see it here (http://epochtalk.org/)).

What do you want to know about the approximate start time of the beta version? Honestly, this https://beta.bitcointalk.org doesn't work anymore.

If you are looking for responsive and mobile friendly you can follow the guide from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4500633.0

AFAIK there is no formal due date for the forum; and I think it's best that way. I would want a perfect (or almost) forum solution when we're talking about this large of a forum.

Yes, Epochtalk is responsive. Try it yourself, visit https://beta.bitcointalk.org from your mobile device.

I am unable to connect to the beta site. Is the forum not moving to Epochtalk software now?

It's been that way for a while.

Last time I checked: I believe they are working on migrations right now (which the code won't be included), so they may be more focused on that.

Wow, so this means that the new forum could be like some social media apps that will notify one if there will be some replies on the topics you were in for a discussion? This is really great. I can't wait for the implementation this new forum for cryptocurrency discussions.

I think this is indeed a feature in the new forum. Really though, something like that should've been implemented in the current forum a long time ago already. It's long overdue.

The new forum is running on AngularJS, which has just entered LTS, since Angular 2.0 is now the new "standard". This shows that the new forum software is already getting slighly out of date before it's even released...??  :-\
