As per title, just wondering people opinions on the following.

VeChain (VEN)
Elixir (ELIX)
Appcoins (APPC)
Viberate (VIB)
Spectrecoin (XSPEC)

I am new to cryptocurrency and have invested around $200 in each of these except VEN, which I have around $1200 invested. I do have coins in the top 10 for security!!
Please let me know what you think of the above and if I should male any changes etc.

Not sure about APPC and XSPEC.
But ELIX,VIB and VEN seem to be very good.
Anyway it's a good thing to diversify

As i search my self and gathering information from people here , XSPEC ,PRL ,COSS and ELIX would be good investment in 2018 as those consist of large portion of my portfolio .However it is up to you. you could do your own research before invest.

In this selection, I would definitely prefer ELIX.
devs are constantly active in this project. now you have also grown in the dev team to get the whole plans faster

I think most of these are fine for investments. So long as you are well-diversified
with most of your money in top coins, there is nothing to worry.

Spectrecoin (XSPEC) it is the best choose for invest, it is really promising coin with strong community and experienced developers, more people predictions price $500-1000 for xspec this year

Elix for sure, I don't know too much about the other ones so I won't comment. Other good ones are PRL and IOT Chain.

Agree with everyone on ELIX. I would skip APPC/VIB though and do something like XBY or HST if you want another moonshot.

Appc good also. Team have many developments. Their roadmap quite clear and with good milestones. Beta soon. In spring will SDK. In summer they promise release and work with Aptoid.

The only coin I think has real prospect in the list is Appcoin, the team is solid with a working platform and believe with the amount raised during token sale which will help them scale up, this is going to be big

i dont agree with elix and xspec.
and i didnt make research abotu others.

take mth bancor or sonm this year. i am sure 2018 will be this coins year.

Yes, Bancor and Monetha should do well this year

I think Spectrecoin has a serious potential. But the transaction volume is very low and they need a good stock market. The team has to work more actively.

Yes, you have a very risky portfolio with a high ROI imo. If you are ready to take risks for high profits then you have made the right choice. Some of the coins from your portfolio have already raised a lot.

I have also xspec and elixir and a little amount of digibyte on my portofolio. These are very good projects with big potential.  On long you gonna see the price rising and rising

I like VeChain (VEN), Elixir (ELIX) and Spectrecoin (XSPEC). haven't really looked close at the other two so can't give a feedback on them. As you have top 10 coins I think those are a good investment. If you only bought those it would be way to risky for me.

Elixir (ELIX) failed big in last dip, losing 75% of it's value. So I think we will see it at 200-300% of current price very soon. It's definitely a good call!

I've got a position in APPC. I expect it to do well this year.

I would delete Xspec. Vib and Ven seems ok, APPC I can't tell. And elix seems very, very ok.

XSPEC is the only one I would drop.
Why? Lots of promises, no examples or proof of said promises, and if Anon becomes of high importance due to any reason, the coin which provides best anon at that point in time will be used, currently it's Monero.

IF they hit their promises it will go to the moon, but if they don't, the hype will crash fast, I'm watching it just in case they do pull it off but for now not 1 coin owned... I just feel with what they've promised they need to provide some proof.

The rest of your list has good potential.

I agree with the author and all these coins are in my risky portfolio. I am sure that some of them will grow well this year and will cover possible losses from others.

I believe in Xspec
Low marketcap, big potential to grow fast
All my friends talk very good about the project and the tech, and all that I read sounds good.
I'm a holder Spectrecoin and I'm waiting to grow to US$ 20,00 + in two or tree months

Hope xspec will be 50$ soon :)

I reckon this to be a great start, especially since you obviously know to also have the majority of your holdings in those top 10 coins - except, of course, none of the fake crypto currency, XRP, eh?  ;)   

Go-go-gadget-predicting future prices....  Errr..  The gadget isn't working today..

Well, in lieu of relying on gadgets, let's rely on my experience instead.  I suggest that instead of going out and putting more money into the projects you're already holding, why not find another project that you can throw $200 at, that has a relatively low supply and has the potential for decent price movements in 2018.   I think $100-200 in well put together projects that maybe are outside the top 75 in marketcap and with token / asset supplies under 400 or 500 million have a decent chance at accomplishing this sort of thing.   Grab a few platform projects, a few privacy coins and a few exchange tokens (ie. BNB, KCS or HT; which is coming up soon for Huobi). 

There truly are a ton of projects out there getting ready to launch their products in 2018, so those should be at the top of your list! 

agree this golden opportunity to invest into legit thing. ELIX team already have a working platform so this will be very profitable for all investors there is still time to catch this mega train in time otherwise will regret later.

XSPEC is solid especially if you're looking for medium/high risk, high reward for some of your portfolio. Its already a working privacy coin and if they implement stealth staking as claimed, you will benefit by a large price increase.

I've also heard ELIX is a pretty decent investment, and you can't go wrong with VEN.

i'm still thinking about investing in XSPEC.
i've read a bit into the project and think that an investment would be worthwhile here.
