Will it be open source? And does this implement any new efficiencies, or does it just provide extra controls? Also will there be a fee associated (like the BlissZ firmware for the D3)?

I would like to learn more about this. If there is any benefit to running this firmware, I can get a massive amount of hashrate on this. PM me if you can (you are not accepting messages right now).
I can provide detailed testing data on all makes and models of antminers produced within the past year and a half or so. Anything between 11TH and 14TH models, including all (if not most) hashboard makes (L1, L1D, L3, V4, V5, V6, C). I can also test Awesome Miner compatibility.

Features of use would be voltage and frequency control, first and foremost. Any other minor efficiencies would also be appreciated.
Odd suggestion would be web-panel control of the NTP settings. Right now they are using the public ntp pool by default, and there's lots of oddball sites that are connected to. The date information has proven to be fairly incorrect lately, and some machines exchange abnormal amounts of packets with these random servers. I randomly came across one that belonged to a Satan worshipper IRC that miners were connecting to for NTP and exchanging an unusual amount of packets on the regular (10x or more from a normal ntp response).  Just looks sketchy.

An auto-adjust function would be very useful as well, for frequency and voltage. For people who operate at extremely low temperatures, having an auto-adjust option would be useful for finding a safe overclock setting without all the manual setting of each machine.

Likewise it would be neat if an automatic fallback setting was implemented, so if temperatures begin to rise too much to operate, and the miner is presently overclocked, it will return to factory settings until temperatures reach a low threshold again. This in conjunction with the last suggestion would actually be really useful.

what kind of difference in hashrate do u see between the 2 (ur firmware vs BM one)

and what kind of changes would u want to do that u dont have at the moment with BM firmware

BM firmware is open source isnt it?? ( i remmber bleed ant vuln.. which they reply it was open source)

I have had NTP flooding problems on my network due to the large number of miners that I run. What I ended up doing was running an NTP server in house and using my ASA to reroute all NTP traffic to the internal server. This and an in house dns server really took the strain off of my security devices because these miners do make an insane number of NTP requests.

Hello Lakai31197,

I am a part of Dolleteam, Sorry for the late reaction. Last days we are quite busy with Antminer S9.

Our first goal what we want to achieve is:
1. Voltage control
2. Frequency control
3. Fan control
4. Tweaking tab on the web-interface
5. Bring CGminer back.

We also going to try different overclocking / under volt. With the D3 we also get better numbers than the stock version.
When we are finished with our goals we will take a look at the NTP settings and find coding what will improve the S9 hashrate.
Also, we will delete every malicious coding inside of the Antminer see Antbleed, Call-home, Auto factory default, Kill miner and many more.

Right now we are able to control the voltage by coding but still in testing phase. Adjust the frequency is already working as it should be.
We work right now on Bmmminer we have seen that CGminer is not stable yet on Bitmain firmware. We will work on that in the next phase

Dear community,

Like Dolle said we are verry bussy. I will try to keep you guys updated from time to time.

Right now we are able to undervolt / controll fanspeed and set freqencys on the S9 miner. We are testing multiple machines to see what settings are "safe" in normal opperation so we can adjust the web interface in such way the risks will stay to a minimum to the users. About the BMminer, yes Bitmain did a verry good job at putting some "Bitmain beneficial" software into the BMminer and the OS itselve as well.
I wont go into details about those things for now. All i can tell so far is that Bitmain is getting more and more creative to avoid people making there own software for their miners, atleast for their sha256 miners.

@ fanatic26, thanks for the NTP tip. We will work on that as well after we finish the product!
@Likai31197, we are not sure yet what the results will be when we finish the product, Right now we had the S9 running at 15.5 TH/s. This was just to see how fast we could go, our testing phase isnt done yet. Our first goal is more TH/s with less power and no more shady software inside.

This is awesome.

Please let me know if you can also disable the fan so it can be unequipped.

Can one control board handle more than 3 hash boards. It looks like there's space for many more.

Automatic reboot on ASIC failure or low hashrate would be useful as well. It has been my experience that quite a few S9 models shut down hashboards for inexplicable reasons, and they do not return until manually rebooted.

Also, do you folks have any means of direct contact? Who is working on this exactly? I would like to send an inquiry but your new accounts are not accepting messages.

@DarkPoe, I do not think it will work on the T9. We don't have a T9.

@HoloShot, Yes we can disable the fan. We are not testing the hardware. We focus first on the firmware. In the later phase, we are able to test if we can run more blades on 1 S9. I think it will work since there is 1 slot available.

@Likai31197, Yes we are working on auto reboot when one of the chips or board will fail. We also build in an auto reboot when the temps goes to high.

@DolleTeam,

I am not trying to bash you in any way, as I have 40 S9's and I will delightfully test your firmware, but just saying, IIRC, T9s are just S9s with overvoltaje and less capable chips, which could just be IMHO some tweaks on the parameters... Anyway, I am saying this cuz I have a T9 which gets hot during the day and can only work through the night so I might just as well use it as a guinea pig for this

Thanks for answering everyone's questions.

I want the firmware as soon as possible. It would be the best way for me to control the miner for my cooling project.

Could you offer me any software or modified firmware that gives me the possibility to remove the fans?
I want to run the S9 with immerse cooling and the 3M Novec liquid requires removed fans.

It is urgent and we would pay for your service!

I am running my S9´s in liquid paraffin and the Chip temperature is stabil 35°C
Even I am cooling that much my energy consumption is not dropping down. I need about 1300 W
Our air-cooled S9´s are running with Chip temperatures of 60°C (ambient temperature is 6°C) at 1390 W.

question/need: I want to remove the 2 fans - how is it possible without booting error?

question/need: how is it possible to increase the frequency to get for example 16 TH/s?

question/need: how is the ratio V (Volt) to frequency

Please support us, we would pay for your kind service.

If u design one, can perhaps not have a dev fee that charges by mining to a dev pool. This is because the S9 takes up to 20mins to switch pools. It would be inefficient.

Are you going to support ASICBOOST ?
Have you even read the technicals about what AB is? Apparently not.
AB requires the hardware - chips - to have different circuitry to handle the AB functions. It is not just software...

We have developed a tuning to switch off Fans (for immersed cooling systems), set MHz and set mV
Maximum possible hashrate (depending on your basic ASIC quality) is about 19-21 TH/s
questions?

Does your firmware work on all versions of S9's?  Is it available to order?  At what price?

Is it work fine on S9 with 13,5 THs builded in autumn 2017?
This solution from this forum didnt work in real testing:

How many miner do you run?
My minimum quantity to sell is 100 upgrades.
There are lots to change in the miner´s file system and I have to exchange the bmminer.
Finally you are able to set MHz, mV and are able to unplug the fans ....
It is fully functional and running without HW errors

Can you share results of your firmware?

On average, what % increase in hashrate will the firmware produce?

A 13.5TH machine could potentially achieve what hashrate?

What are the affects on fanspeeds and temps? Etc

Very interested but would like to know what, if any, successful results the firmware has achieved.

13,5 TH miner achieves between 19,5 - 20,5 TH/s
BUT this is mandatory to a submerged cooling system and a 2800W PSU
Power consumption is about 2,5kW @ 20TH/s
Fan - OFF
temperatur is up to your needs: we can regulate it between 50°C and 110°C
All temp settings are running without any HW errors

So 2500 watts for 20Th = 125 watts/TH right?  A normal 13.5 S9 draws ~1452 watts for about 108 watts/TH.  So running at that speed decreases efficiency about 16%, and requires submerged cooling.  Other than bragging rights and maybe noise control, why would one want to do this?

I do not know what your mining facility is looking alike, but modern data centers are cooled and that needs energy.
For example: a room with 60m3 (similar to one 40" sea container) equipped with 100 units of S9 is regular heated with 150kW.
That means you have to get rid of the heat produced. Assume you would not open the windows and the ambient temperature would be 25°
(which is the reference temperature of the energy efficiency of any electronic), the 100 units of S9 would let increase the temperature of
that room up to 120°C within minutes. Finally you have to blow out that heat with big fans and try to cool down.

Such cooling system needs lots of kW. In average air cooled mining farms need about 25-35% of their total energy costs for cooling. And the result is hot air released to the atmosphere ....

We are exchanging the heat with water and that could be used pretty easy and is way cheaper than old fashioned air cooling.

by the way: as energy is only 10-35% of the revenue, increase of TH is increase of profit. You will never increase TH that much without liquid cooling!

My mining facility currently has about 125 S9s in it and is air cooled, similar to the way Yahoo data centers do it.  I recirculate hot aisle air in the winter to keep the cold aisle around 55F.  The rest of the heat, and all of it during warmer seasons, is vented out the top of the roof by natural convection.  Only fans other than the recirculating one are those on the miners, plus two small units at the top of the cold aisle that exhaust any accumulated hot air at the ceiling of that aisle.  e.g. My facility was designed for mining, its not a retrofitted data center.

Water cooling is efficient, in terms of extracting heat, but your still releasing it into the environment.  Any hot water you eject is either going into a ground loop and heating the soil, or into a stream and heating that water with associated environmental impacts (reduced oxygen capacity of the water until it radiates the extra heat to the atmosphere for you).  Hopefully your using a closed ground loop.

interesting how you are keeping even in winter only with natural convection the air that cool. And more interesting how that works in summer. The building size is a factor and the region as well. I know farms in Iceland, but that isn't smart as everybody knows. We designed a solution for maximum mobility, easy to roll out and possible to be placed everywhere at places with cheap energy.

Bitmain's GitHub provides enough code to build your own bmminer, and that means enough code to hack your own bmminer.

Voltage can go as low as 7.94V or as high as 9.43V. So yes, you can undervolt, and it remains stable but not full speed.

Data points: 13.5TH S9 @ 575MHz fixed frequency and 8.4V gives me a consistent 12.05TH/s. Same hardware @ 600MHz and 8.55V gives me 12.7TH/s. These are both significant undervolts; a stock 13.5TH/s S9 at fixed frequency will take 9.00V.

strange:

I was just testing your info: 575MHz, 840mV, 12,4 GH/s (ideal) - 12,2 GH/S (RT)

And I was testing that: 600MHz, 840mV, 12,9 GH/s (ideal) - 12,6 GH/s (RT)

Finally at 631MHz, 865mV, 13,5 GH/s (ideal) - 13,5 GH/s (RT)

What S9 batch did you get? You said 631MHz, so auto-tune, but at what stock speed? You may just have better hardware than I do. I can only get 12.2TH/s @ 600MHz, 840mV.

I'm on North American electrical, so staying under 1440W total power is critical to me.

Title: Re: [NEWS] Antminer S9 CUSTOM FIRMWARE!
Post by: vonRau on April 25, 2018, 06:20:44 PM
I testet it on a March 2018 Batch - it is a 13,5 TH S9
No, I selectet 631MHz, as I know, that this is 13,5 TH in total. Stock speed??? There is no "stock speed", there is usually "autotune" and the controller board is checking, which avarage of frequency each hashing board (chain) with the 63 ASICS is able to perform to reach maximum 13,5 TH.
If you have read the bmminer source code, you will have recognized, that the firmware is limiting the possible hashingrate with a maximum of 13,5 TH. So any increase of defined parameter which would lead to a higher hashing rate is not possible.

Your stock speed is 13.5TH/s. There are 14TH/s auto-tune machines out there, after all.

Title: Re: [NEWS] Antminer S9 CUSTOM FIRMWARE!
Post by: vonRau on April 25, 2018, 10:11:53 PM
so what?
even 14TH machines are running the same firmware and the results with same freq/mV are same as well .....
ASIC chips are same make, same foundry but different quality (which is a normal matter of production process).

myself I am owning 2000 S9/S9i and 400 A3 - so no more proof and/or reference needed.

Thank you guys for your patience!

We took a long time to make sure it all works the way we wanted and burned additional hashing boards  ;D

The 1st versions are out there and ready for use. We still keep up our work and are dedicated to implementing Asic Boost so
we can all mine just like Bitmain itself!

@darkpoe This software will work with the T9. u can either ramp it up to 13,5 Th in normal settings or use the Wattage/hash sweet spot of 600Feq/850Mv.
We have a ratio above 10gh/s per watt with that setting.

we will keep you updated (more frequently  ;) ) on our current progress.

Happy mining,

The DolleTeam.

I still do not understand why we should pay fee, when another FW with the same functionality is available for free?! Your FW can set only voltage and frequency, for the cost of fee, so where is the advance?

For those who want to keep it fanless I can compile their version for free also.

here is it:

Hi RadekG2,

We could hide the fee in the program so no one would even notice... I'm not surprised if someone already does that.
Instead, we choose to be transparent and ask a very low fee. We just released our 1st version of the firmware which does include the important features 90% of us want.
Our focus lies on implementing Asic Boost for the masses, so not just Bitmain gets the sick hashes but we all do.
That said, we hope ppl support our mission by using our firmware and by doing so improvs there own mining efficiency as well.

Last but not least, our software is tested on multiple machines, does work as it should. And those miners with versions not compatible yet will be checked out and we will make sure they can benefit from it as well!

The Dolleteam!

Its looking very nice, but a tad unnessecerily complicated.
Why not start with smaller units?

i think there's a serious market for approx. 10-20 miners.
In winter its possible to put in a heat exchanger also, and use the heat for central heating and hot water, making ROI even better...

Hi Dutchlincoln,

Asicboost will adjust the way your miner calculates, nothing will be changed on volts or hertz. This way the temps will be around the same. (as far as we have seen on our testing rigs)

P.s. (srry for the dutch) Mooie koelkast met geluidsfoam! ;)

A few hours a day in summer i just cant control the temp enough yet to alway be on the safe side. Would be nice if you can set that temperature so they throttle back a bit. At evening and night when temps are lower, they can hash higher.

Dear Piscess16,

the Miner will mine in the first 4 Minutes for our fee. Then it will mine for 200 Minutes on your pools and will continue from there.

This is equivalent of ~ 1.96 % of the Mining time. (4/204)

For the T9+, we haven't done testing on a T9+, the T9 is very efficient and might be comparable.

Thank you for your question,

what does lite and basic different ? fees, setting interface, etc ?

The difference between lite and basic version are the settings, Basic will provide you with more functionality than the Lite version.

Yes, the T9 will also work with this firmware, and hash rates are similar to the S9! So the upgrade for the T9 will be bigger than the S9!

Can you paperclip it for 10 sec?  This should set it back to it's original settings.

It would be important to know the reason for your switch back to stock clockings. If you could provide us with a short insight on why you choose the stock firmware over our product we would really appreciate that.

Hi W15ER69,

this can happen due to an update of the pic program of your miner.

Please contact us directly through our slack channel, so we can elaborate that issue further.

Thanks for pointing that out,

however, under that post you will find the comments, that:

ITS NOT !
i tried installing this on some of my miners and while it shows its mining on status, it mines on other pools...
and he changed the ssh password too...

So this seems not like a very transparent software to us.

We tried it for a short period and had issues.

Dear Dolleteam,

Callcu fee:
- 13.5T, up date firm to 14T. But fee = 0.266T, so Net hash = 14T - 0.266T = 13.734T
- 14T, up date to 1.5T. Fee = 0.275T, Net hash = 14.22T.

Could you set fee about 1%, i think it is good.

Best regards,
John

I tried this on an Antminer T9+ and it is not hashing.
I am getting this error "Logic Version   T9+-nopreheat"

I have flashed back to factory firmware and reset to defaults and still no luck.
Also restored from a backup and still nothing.

Same here, but my T9+ is hashing at 3,5 TH/s.

Has anyone found a solution?

Dear Piscess16,

the Miner will mine in the first 4 Minutes for our fee. Then it will mine for 200 Minutes on your pools and will continue from there.

This is equivalent of ~ 1.96 % of the Mining time. (4/204)

For the T9+, we haven't done testing on a T9+, the T9 is very efficient and might be comparable.

Thank you for your question,

I tried to reset it  several times the 3 ways that Bitmain says I wait 20 minutes and upgrade to the latest version of the firmware. I don't know if I should send the whole antminre to Bitmain, ask for a control board or I can fix it.

I appreciate your answer, the problem there is no .IMG file for the T9+, or at least I do not know how to create it. Bitmain send this to me:

"Unfortunately, your requested tutorial is not available that flashing by SD card is not supported by Antminer T9+. If the issue is not resolved after attempting the other methods listed, please carefully follow these instructions to create a Repair ticket and ship the whole machine back to us: https://shop.bitmain.com/repairGuide"

My main problem I cant send it to repair cuz I installed Dollemizer and lost the warranty, and it is too expensive to send it (almost as a new T9+)

If you could please specify your request, that would be very helpful.

@dodgymon, Our software is not compatible with T9+. We are working on it.

@Evan, We also work to improve the hash rate. We keep the 1,9% fee as standard. Our team is working hard to improve the hash rate.

@rperus, You can switch back to bitmain firmware. There is a reset button. Hold it for 10 seconds. If it won't bring you back to stock firmware you also can hold the button (The one you can check wich IPaddress your antminer has) for 10 seconds.

The GPLv3 states that you need to show us that you run our software and then we can send you the source code. We do not have to make the source code public.
If you would like the source code, send us that you are running our software and share your contact details.

There are 3 different ways to reset it the Ip report button, the reset hole and within the software. I did those 3 methods several times, Bitmain does not support reset it from the SD card anymore.

I also tried to install Bitmain's Las firmware and my backup, but Dollemizer software is still there.

Iclear the cache of the browser, but dollemizer is still there.

How do you feel you installed someones firmware that changes the ssh password so it can only mine for them now.

Try to hold down the ip button while powering it on for 5-10 seconds or until it reboots itself while powering on and that should restore factory defaults.

Hi, I have the same problem and tried that, and other 2 methods.

Please try these three methods to reset your machine: https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/3957
Then load the firmware from this page: https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?pid=00720161126080548570Q2tDBXAH065D

The 4th method would be to flashing from the SD card, but bitmain no longer support it, so there is no instructions to do it to a T9+

So the fee is totally out of balance on this firmware. I have been running for 21 hours and these are my results.

748 shares mined to my pools.

1394 shares mined to dev fee pools.

That's more like a 150% fee...

I mean I can manually remove the dev fee pool using the cgminer api and it works fine. But I don't mind the dev fee if its as advertised.

Are there fixes coming for this?

I actually installed the firmware on a few different machines and never has the ssh password get changed. I'm not sure what the point would even be for them to change the ssh password... its a piece of cake to change back to stock. My guess is if people are getting the ssh password changed it was a bug.

I'm more concerned about the methodology for pool swapping to mine the dev fee.

I probably should. But yours is not a true firmware unless I missed something. It's simply a miner replacement. I will have to write my own management script to modify my little 7 machine farm. It's not a huge deal I just don't have tons of time to work on it at the moment.

@coinhicken

Good question. Mostly I would like to lower my power usage and heat a little bit. And the auto balance stuff is nice for that. Yes, I can do that all manually but Its a lot of work to do manually. And If I'm going to do that I might as well compile my own firmware from the bitmain source.

Also, anything that locks down the ssh account is a big no. Since I have a remote management system that I wrote that uses ssh to change config and check stats.

It will take you less than 10 minutes to do it to 7 machines. I am working on making it flashable but I rather make it better before making it flashable. Currently mine does everything this one does and more with no dev fee. Hell if there was to be a feed it would be so much smaller than this dude hijacking everyone's machines.

Also this guys firmware is only a modification of bmminer and your ssh password I took a look ;)

You should read the whole topic before installing some junk firmware on your miner !

The answer to your question is : ONLY YOU !

Title: Re: [NEWS] Antminer S9 CUSTOM FIRMWARE!
Post by: tim-bc on July 29, 2018, 03:07:18 PM
@DarkPoe, I do not think it will work on the T9.
Incorrect firmware!!!
I still do not understand why we should pay fee, when another FW with the same functionality is available for free?! Your FW can set only voltage and frequency, for the cost of fee, so where is the advance?
and the FW can support T9+ or not ?
For the T9+, we haven't done testing on a T9+
Hi i have testing update the T9+ FW, but have the error cant to running
How to you revert back to stock. I have reinstalled the bitmain firmware but the index page has still got the dollemizer logo on it.
I tried this on an Antminer T9+ and it is not hashing.
I am getting this error "Logic Version   T9+-nopreheat"

I have flashed back to factory firmware and reset to defaults and still no luck.
Also restored from a backup and still nothing.
I tried it with T9+, and it is not hashing. Eventough I reset it and installed Bitmain firmware.
Sounds like his firmware cooked you t9+
I installed Dollemizer in a T9+. Unfurtenately, it did not work my hashrate is zero. I tried to uninstalled an reinstall Bitmain´s firmware, but the hashrate is still zero, it is not possible to uninstall the software. What can I do the Antminer is new, and I lost the warranty.
The cgminer source code (cgminer/bmminer) is GPLv3 licensed which requires you provide the source code upon request.
You can just buy a new control board from Bitmain. I am 99% sure you can reload the software from an SD card just like you can if you brick an L3+
I personally just ordered a new control board $60 USD + postage
I just tried a different control board and still the same error
"T9+_fixed450_noPreHeat_test"
Our software is not compatible with T9+.

I also cannot get back to stock. Cant even SSH into my miner after I reinstalled the Bitmain Firmware. The standard credentials are root as user and admin as the password. Im getting Access Denied using those credentials.

Did you not read the thread. They take most of your hashing power and they changed your ssh password.
my T9+ is dead because of your wrong firmware also i revert back to original bitmain firmware but fails . no any reset method work.
your FW has been compleated killed my 2 boards!  i just bought my T9+ 3 days ago.

now i don't know how i can kill you Dollemizer as you killed my machine.

...

Yeah a bunch of us are trying to undo what dollemizer firmware did to this guy. They label their firmwar as working on a T9+ but state the have never tested it. Amongst reviewing some of the code with darval you can't have the firmware flash for the s9 and t9 they use a different number of chips amongst other things. So far we made a bmminer if you have an unflashed dollemizer t9 that should work but really darval is this guys real hope to flash the pic.

This software comes with a small built-in fee of 1,9%.

the Miner will mine in the first 4 Minutes for our fee. Then it will mine for 200 Minutes on your pools and will continue from there.

This is equivalent of ~ 1.96 % of the Mining time. (4/204)

Um, yeah no thanks...

your dollemizer burn my T9+ and not release the pach to recover it. my PICs FW now get error.
i was reset it many time but it won't revert back to original bitmain Firmware.
God Damn your guys

to be fair ur post is misleading. the share count isnt the number u should look at. u can if the diff of each share is the same between both pools but some have a much higher diff so u cant compare one to the other.

either way i wouldnt use this firmware. folks should have known the same firmware used on s9's shouldnt be used with the t9 versions. i dont really consider this part their fault even if they said it might work with the t9 model. its well known that the models are completely different and have different power requirements and firmware configs. it sucks that it happened but take this as a chance to learn and be sure to read up on the machines ur plannin on moddin via software and hardware.

if u want to force the old firmware back onto the machine use the antminer manager app that bitmain has on their site. it seems to get around the wrong firmware error when flashing custom firmware images. just download the app and the official firmware for ur model miner and connect to it using the app. u have to import the firmware u downloaded to the apps repo but u can figure that stuff out. i have used this to force flash miners that wouldnt accept the official update so i know it works but i havent used this threads custom firmware but it should have the same result.

That won't fix a hashboard pic programmed for a different miner from a malicious firmware update aka this firmware here.

hes sayin he cant revert to the original firmware. that can mean 2 things...either the board firmware or the controller firmware. if he is havin issues flashin the controller i provided a way around that. alot of miners wont let u go back from a modded version unless you force it and since he kinda left it open to assumption i thought i would pass that info along. he can also try flashin it to see if it also forces flashin of the board firmware too. its not like he has ne thing to lose but as it sits they dont work.

what i find confusin is 2 boards dont work for him...if the firmware did in fact kill his boards all of them would be dead not just some of them.

The GPLv3 states that you need to show us that you run our software and then we can send you the source code. We do not have to make the source code public.
If you would like the source code, send us that you are running our software and share your contact details.

I've never heard of a GPLv3 requirement to run it(if there is one please point me to the specific line in the GPLv3 license), GPLv3 requirements are based on distribution of the software(ie downloading it) not running it. You can contact me via PM.
Here's proof I downloaded it:

Code:
$ shasum -a 256 Dollemizer875-USA.gz
ee4386b018901799c205788bf0fb15db21b1599e4c4bf3a0d2e6abdd1d618d7e  Dollemizer875-USA.gz

This is true GPL requirements are based off distribution NOT usage. Requesting source code or thread being closed.

Its been common knowledge for YEARS not to mess with bitmains firmware yet you people are bricking your units left and right for no good reason at all. Pushing these machines past the rated hash rate decreases efficiency and eats away at any extra profits you think you are squeezing out of the machine.

Just plug your miner in and run it the way it was built to run. Stop being stupid and letting greed take you down a wrong path.

It's weird. Sometimes the hard way is the best way to learn. Asics aren't gpu's their CPU's that will burn your house down. Enjoy.

Always love me a fanatic post though. Need people like you around. Balance in the force and what not.

Meh this is just a shit firmware. If you do it right you can keep the efficiency curve the same without blowing away your profits and profit more

This firmware works for me so far(S9, will try on a T9). A few questions I have:

- Do you guys have a thermal protection limit? I mean do you stop mining if chips are getting too hot? If yes at what temperature?

- According to the docs I found AsicBoost should give ~25% extra hashrate. The hashrate increase I can reproduce only coming from different frequency (on Slush). If I get this right I should see higher hashrates at stock frequency. Is this actually working?

Thanks

It's just marketing you cant add asic boost to an S9. He just wants you to use his firmware to take a dev fee.

Thanks, that's what I though too. As far as I get you need AsicBoost ASIC which is not "no asic boost"/normal compatible.

Still adjustable Mhz and voltage is a nice add-on. But flat out price would be better as slush always alert when this FW switches to "self mining".

Are you sure?
S9j??
I rather believe it was a T9+, but anyway, why should it break with our software? You exactly know, that changes in the shell can easily set back to default.
I testet it with several miner types: e.g. I flashed D3 firmware on my X3 and A3. Sure, did not work, but when flashed the original FW from Bitmain´s download website, the miner was like "new".

In the code you posted you can see the error "Fatal Error: Fan lost!" four times. So, you need to either fake the fan input with some hardware timer or recompile your firmware to not check for fans.

me too got the board killer firmware, and had 2 boards die, sent them back for repair, and was told they were not fixable. cost £39 to send and now they want $120 to return.
but i think it might be a pic problem, may be replace or reprograme, may look into it if i get my boards back.

Hi,
i have 3  S9 13,5Th, work fine your soft, actually summer mode 830mV/512MHz.
Good work,

but i have T9+ , and of course i temporarily kill him the machine.

Code:
Find hashboard on Chain[1]
Find hashboard on Chain[2]
Find hashboard on Chain[3]
Find hashboard on Chain[8]
Find hashboard on Chain[9]
Find hashboard on Chain[10]
Find hashboard on Chain[11]
Find hashboard on Chain[12]
Find hashboard on Chain[13]
set_reset_allhashboard = 0x0000ffff

dsPIC33EP16GS202_get_pic_sw_version failed on Chain[1]!

Please temporarily originally silence bitmain soft for T9+,
maybe 550MHz...

Thanks!

Is dollemizer the only firmware that allows configuring each chip individually?

IT doesn't let you configure each chip

This is another custom firmware allows to change frequency for each chip.

It has been discussed in this forum many times just not this thread. The dev didn't put that as a disclaimer on purpose.

I am not starting to test this  Dollemizer Firmware against bitmain's . setting the  frequency, same pool , same room , just about same everything on each miner.

i will put them on a test for 3 days and then compare the results of both " average temps " as well as " hash rate reported by the pool".

now unless the Dollemizer Firmware gives a better "something" then I do not see a need for someone to pay fees just for a better looking firmware.

i will report back once my results are final.

How is it possible to read this thread and still ask a question like this?

The answer is nobody should ever use this firmware. Its trash and bricks machines, has hidden fees, and who knows what else. There are much better options out there.

well, maybe due the fact that this fw indeed has bricked one t9, but there are also t9's ocd as well, and it is still stated in the first post???

If you bothered to read the thread it has bricked a lot more than one T9+

so been testing  a lil more than 3 days :D. so far as for temps i see no difference, but reported hash rate is slightly better on  "Dollemizer"  , the pool shows around " 0.72 TH" more per miner.

the Miner will mine in the first 4 Minutes for our fee. Then it will mine for 200 Minutes on your pools and will continue from there.

This is equivalent of ~ 1.96 % of the Mining time. (4/204)

i noticed my S9 mines to your pool for much more than 4 mins. actually for 7 minutes. ! so how do you justify this?

Hi.

I set clock to 700 and volt to 840 mv and it work good .

But  FAN PWM set to 0 after 10 min and temp go to 70 .
In original firmware it never set to 0 and temp up to 60

I have an extra cooling system for a miner

Dollemizer

Code:
set FAN speed according to: temp_highest=70 temp_top1[PWM_T]=70 temp_top1[TEMP_POS_LOCAL]=62 temp_change=0 fix_fan_steps=-29
FAN PWM: 0
read_temp_func Done!
CRC error counter=0

Org firmware

Code:
Max pcb temp : 48
set FAN speed according to: temp_highest=48 temp_top1[PWM_T]=48 temp_top1[TEMP_POS_LOCAL]=48 temp_change=1 fix_fan_steps=0
FAN PWM: 30
read_temp_func Done!
CRC error counter=0

Same time in day different org and Dollemizer :/

The problem is your way of testing:

PCB temp is up to the ambient conditions of a miner.
The original FW is running roughly 620-650MHz and the energy consumption is ever rising exponentially when rising the clock speed, also the temperatures are rising (more energy = higher temperatures).
Fan set and all other settings are up to some temp measurements while single board test and boot procedure.
Further mV settings are according experiences regarding optimum IC temps for best value of has hash rate and efficiency.

Nevertheless there is a much better FW available and a better cooling system.

Some of us here take the time and effort to warn others about a scammy firmware/person and you just ignore all of that, and then a few weeks later you will come back to complain about it and look for solutions, don't be lazy, read the comments!! this firmware is SCAM, I have even left them negative feedback fairly visible on their profile.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

Has anyone figured out how to get Dollemizer off the S9 ?

Answered my own question.
Move first jumper in upper left corner of the board, to pins 1-2 closest to the edge of the board.
Boot up from SD card with OS of your choice (BrainsOS in my case)
