Does anybody know what is going on with 42 Coin. 100% increase today....140kusd/coin. Thoughts?

Not sure, seems to be going off though. Whales have been swooping cheaper coins on cryptopia and it wasnt a flash crash pump so could just be whales doing what they do.  Sell book is thin though so only a couple more btc before price doubles

42 coin is another coin to watch. Added on my portfolio.

I have so many questions.  Fortunately this coin has the answers to the questions of life, the universe, and everything.

It costs 9 BTC and there is currently only 7 BTC on buy orders in cryptopia. In another words, there isn't liquidity at all.

I saw and picked some up. Just heard of 42 coin today actually. It's valued over BTC and with only 42 in circulation, it's super rare. Kinda excited  8)

what is usage of this coin with that supply? if I make 21 coin with 21 supply, and place this on cryptopia, people allso will to pay 100k for 1 coin because of low supply?  8)

This an old coin that has been around. The idea is that its rare and usually the rarer the asset, the more its worth.   Now no guarantees of course but this isnt a brand new coin out of no where.  Seems to be holding the price pretty well so far. I know the sell book is thin so if people pick this up it can get to 30-40btc per coin pretty quick

I am %100 sure this is pump dump coin. But weirdly they set supply so low, it must be hard to dump or pump with this supply rate. Its not typical in my opinion. Btw no need to invest, just watch to see dump.

I'm not sure... 42 coin was the most expensive coin ever made before. Back then it was worth more than 1900 btc at it's peak with the price of more than $1 million. In my opinion, at the current price I think it's pretty normal and it might rise even more. Or yes, it could be another pump-dump scheme.

42 coin is one of the useless, pump dump, maybe scam coin. One person creates a coin, and present a unreal roadmap that's it. But 42 coin is listed in livecoin and cryptopia so team may want more or really legit?

I add 42 coin to my watch list, waiting a chance to buy.

I don't know which is 42 coins exploding. I can trade for under 10 coins limit.

10 doesn't look a bad but has plenty of potential I think

You can make a token with total supply of just one token but in the beginning it would be worthless. Coins and tokens are worth as much as people are willing to pay for them. But why would anyone pay thousands of dollars for a token that has literally no use. 42 is a special case because it's the first coin with that idea of extremely low supply and it has some unique features you can read about here: https://en.bitcoinwiki.org/wiki/42-coin

Please avoid this kind of dead coin. 42coin has been created in 2014 during the pump/dump era.

A lot of coin during this period were created only for pumps/dumps :
- All these coins were minable during a short period of time
- It had no innovation, it was only working by hype. Devs just forked litecoin, a bit like with dogecoin and did nothing else than changing supply or block time.

42 coin was a bit funny at first. When it went released on exchanges, one 42 worth more than 1000 BTC  :D

So I can't find much information on this coin other than the fact there will never be more than 42 of them ever created. There website is pretty terrible from what I can see but the price!!!  What is this about? Why would this coin be worth so much?

Stop bumping old thread and just forget this coin because this is only shitcoin. Take a look at their small volume trade
