Title: What do you think: in Russia there is a dictatorship?
Post by: KITTYCOIN on Waves on January 28, 2018, 09:32:16 AM
I see this: in Russia there are many signs of dictatorship. However, the majority of citizens support this. Thus it turns out that this dictatorship is based on democracy :)

There are some signs of dictatorship, but for all purpose Russia is a democracy. But recently they prevented the opposition leader Navalny from contesting the elections. That should have never happened in a democratic society. Everyone should be given a chance to contest the elections.

Yes that's right. I do not really like the program of Navalny (I'm also from Russia). But what's happening I do not like even more.

Russia needed someone to lead them and here he is.
He's not going to be here forever but until he is, he is.

Putin seems to be a sort of benevolent dictator, but Russia definitely needed a strongman to clean-up all that mess what was left behind after the Yeltsin era. Anyway, who cares as long as the majority of Russians like him.

Yes, I also thought about this. There is a Russian saying: "Live with wolves - howl like a wolf" (-: Putin rules, surrounded by wolves and other predators. And of course this leaves a certain imprint on his style of government.
