Just received the following email from Tradehill.  Between CampBX being cutoff from Dwolla funding and now this, seems coinbase the last easy online option for US residents to buy bitcoins. 


This correspondence is to inform you Tradehill is suspending its relationship with the Internet Archive Federal Credit Union (IAFCU). Tradehill is also suspending its Bitcoin trading activities, for the time being, and will reach out to you as soon as trading operations resume.
 
If you would like Tradehill to wire you your US Dollar balance (if applicable), or if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your Personal Account Manager at Tradehill.

I was going to say "what about Bitinstant" checked, and yeah, they're not operational either.

This is too bad, but its not the first time Tradehill has been down and out, they're a persistant bunch.

Man, the weakest links are getting the pressure in the U.S.  Hope you work through the issues Tradehill.

It looks like some sort of regulatory pressure was being applied to their credit union (iafcu). They have an article up on their blog about it:

Interesting, so by their corporate customers, i'm sure they meen BitFloor and TradeHill

Hi,

I am still waiting for my funds to be returned by Tradehill / Jered Kenna. I have sent emails multiple times. Jered himself confirmed my account balance and requested a BTC address so he could send the funds. The funds were never sent. This was 6 months ago. Has anyone heard from him or received funds recently?
