Title: amusing places for rigs
Post by: jjiimm_64 on July 13, 2011, 01:17:21 AM
A little embarrassing, but have to share.
I have 5 rigs, 2 in the house(office) 3 out here in the shed.  I just changed one of my 6950's for a 5870 today.  after taking out the 6950, there was something loose inside...  I shook it out..  well let me tell you guys,  what I have here in the shed is 11 very expensive bug zappers!!!  :) )

edit:  meant to ask, what kind of amusing places are you guys putting the rigs in?

I put my three case-less rigs in the crawl space under my house in Austin, Texas, USA - where the outdoor temperature reaches 100+ F.  But the crawl space is a steady 86 F. Here is a typical temperature reading from one of the rigs:
Code:
$ DISPLAY=:0.0 aticonfig --odgt --adapter=all

Adapter 0 - ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
            Sensor 0: Temperature - 74.00 C

Adapter 1 - ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
            Sensor 0: Temperature - 66.00 C
