Title: The Speculation Lounge Post by: Kupsi on August 29, 2013, 10:19:27 PM ChartBuddy is ruining my old favourite thread at Bitcointalk, so... Welcome to The Speculation Lounge Posting guidlines: No automated posting Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: Kupsi on August 29, 2013, 10:20:24 PM My prediction: Double digits are history. The weak hands are soon sold out and we'll hit $300 before new year.

Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: JimboToronto on August 30, 2013, 01:12:36 AM Chartbuddy is one reason the MtGox hardcore wall thread is my default thread at Bitcointalk, especially since he reduced his charts to thumbnails.
Chartbuddy's wonderful graphically clear charts are right up there behind i286, CM, and Bitcoincharts for demonstrating what's happening to noobs and other laymen. Good luck with this thread, though. The more options the better. Personally, I find pompous self-important TA charts to be more annoying. my speculation: to da mooooon Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: MAbtc on August 30, 2013, 02:47:30 AM Chartbuddy is one reason the MtGox hardcore wall thread is my default thread at Bitcointalk, especially since he reduced his charts to thumbnails. To each his own, I guess. TA is at least interesting. I think the importance people place on walls is way overblown. I just like the wall thread for the chatter. Chartbuddy's wonderful graphically clear charts are right up there behind i286, CM, and Bitcoincharts for demonstrating what's happening to noobs and other laymen. Good luck with this thread, though. Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: JimboToronto on August 30, 2013, 03:02:35 AM To each his own, I guess. Amen. Personally, I find TA boring (and somewhat meaningless in a market as small and lacking liquidity as Bitcoin) but find wall dances entertaining. I definitely come here for comedy and entertainment, not market "wisdom", although sometimes some of the smarter posters surprise me. Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: Ares on August 30, 2013, 03:07:15 AM More importantly, this thread does not have the words MtGox USD in the title.
The less newcomers associate Bitcoin with MtGox the better. Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: Kupsi on August 30, 2013, 03:18:17 PM Looking good ;D

Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: Kupsi on September 03, 2013, 01:28:29 PM I don't see very large buys on those screenies. 5k on Gox and 1.5k on Stamp is about 10% of the ask orders. I'm happy with that :D Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: telemaco on September 04, 2013, 02:52:30 AM Bitcoin is much bigger than those two
volume in chinese bitcoin markets 14250 (around) data from -> http://btckan.com/price (translate with google translate if needed) volume in mtgox 15744 volume in bitstamp 11780 Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: derpinheimer on September 04, 2013, 04:39:16 AM More than 4k to get back to 148.91. Are you so sure about the "weak hands" running out of coins? Looks more like the "weak hands" are running out of people to hold the bags. But I hope its like a repeat of breaking the 125 wall. So far its quite similar. A retreat into the high 130's would make it pretty much perfect, but I cant see us hitting 138 and stabilizing there like before @ 118/119. The market is much more ready to move down at these prices. Looks more like the "weak hands" are running out of people to hold the bags. The number of coins for sale is going down. The same happend last summer when the price went from 5 to 15 and at the start of this year. It's happening again. http://blockchained.com/depth_mtgox.png Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: viboracecata on September 05, 2013, 01:31:08 AM down trend happen and keep going.

Yes I agree...more likely to see 120 before it sees 140 again. Hoping for a Bitcoin ETF :D I hope so, obviously. May just be news about coinsetter? I don't think Coinsetter is "big, big news". They stated yesterday that the launch for international customers is a few weeks away. Quote We’ve been busy at Coinsetter as we prepare to launch to international customers in just a few weeks. That’s right – our international launch is just a few weeks away! http://blog.coinsetter.com/2013/09/24/meet-our-newest-additions-to-the-coinsetter-team/ Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: Kupsi on September 26, 2013, 01:24:39 AM Big, big news ;D

That one guy is literally suppressing the market lol Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: derpinheimer on September 27, 2013, 12:09:05 AM That selling bot is fcking annoying. What/who is that? Why?? That one guy is literally suppressing the market lol Whether arbitrage or manipulation, it is doing a damned good job of holding the price down. But its inconsistent and the price always manages to creep up in the times its off. That one guy is literally suppressing the market lol Whether arbitrage or manipulation, it is doing a damned good job of holding the price down. But its inconsistent and the price always manages to creep up in the times its off. Just a problem with such extreme low volume I guess on Mt Gox. Someone selling 1 APPL share on NASDAQ every 10 seconds would be irrelevant. It's amplified by the fact that BitStamp probably (I'm not positive) still follows Mt Gox. Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: notme on September 27, 2013, 01:56:41 AM That selling bot is fcking annoying. What/who is that? Why?? Title: Re: The Speculation Lounge Post by: Kupsi on October 12, 2013, 10:01:24 PM Saturday night and the ask volume on Gox, Bitstamp and BTC China is down through the day. I'm lovin' it ;D
