I've got a 2009 white Dodge Charger last year in July from the ex boss. It has 140k miles and works perfect.
However no police lights on and vehicle is at zip 16508. No title, I never got one.
I just moved up to PA from TX and don't need it anymore.
I'll take reasonable offers, pm me.

I like that older body style before they shrunk it down.

These new ones today don't even look like a Charger anymore.

Most of this is just common sense, some it from google, some it from personal experience.. Hard learned personal experience.


Do you have anything to prove that you are the legal owner of this vehicle?
Have you attempted to get a replacement title?

Not having the title isn't an instant deal-breaker, but when it's online with someone you don't know it is for sure a red-flag at the very least. This could mean the car is stolen, salvaged or even a flood vehicle (especially coming from Texas, flood is likely).

Research this car, if you are an interested buyer, because you would hate to have ownership claimed on you after you have paid for the car and believe yourself to be the legal owner. Get the VIN number, contact DMV and see what the status of that vehicle is. DMVs normally only keep state-records as far as I know, so you would have to contact Texas DMV or wherever else this car has been owned.

This one is obvious, but if you purchase this then get an official Bill of Sale. OP do you have a corresponding Bill of Sale to prove that you acquired this vehicle legitimately from your old boss?

If this car is currently registered/owned by OP then OP should have no problem acquiring a replacement title through DMV in their name.

If OP has never registered or "legally" owned this vehicle in their own name, then you are going to have to track down the last owner to "legally" own the car through a title and ask them to fill out paperwork and transfer the vehicle title to you; this is not something I would expect anyone to do, though there is no incentive and they probably already deem this vehicle as "not their problem".

The only other thing I can think of is acquiring a Surety Title Bond, which is hard to explain, but it's kind of like providing the seller a bond with the contingency of the car being as they claim it to be, something like that.

Anyways, buy safe, make sure you don't just jump into a sale foolishly; you want to keep yourself protected and safe! Would you be willing to accept trades for this vehicle or only $?
