This has been up and down for quite awhile. I may have to agree with me. Seems like it will settle at around the 9k mark

This range has been with us way too long and its something of concern but we cannot really do anything about it. I am expecting no real move at all this time though because there is nothing to push the price to a new height so we are still going to live with it. $9000 is a possibility but not definite and I am hoping for one big news because I am tired of rolling around with any thing in sight to show that we are moving forward.

I don't think we will go down to 9k

But I think we will not leave the 10k-12k band.

Always funny to read the predictions that in Mid January / End of January / Mid February we will go up again ... well, the first 2 are already wrong.

But probably when Mid February is still 11k people will start predicting a rise in March ... lol

Not so far but it looks like we are heading there. Its sitting now at $10,880 and I don't think that it will pump for awhile. I'm not worried at all and I'll not be surprised if the price will be good at $10,000 tonight.

That's what I can see also and I have to agree that its going to sit at $9,000 for awhile.

Instead of focusing on the downside like the price fell down to 11,000 USD, or might even be decreased as 9,000 USD, why don't we focus on the positive side and take this as an opportunity to buy and wait for the price increase again to 12,000 USD or higher and we could start selling it again if the price of bitcoin reaches that mark even a low return when you accumulate it one by one it will turn into a big amount of bitcoin.

I don't think it will happen. There were some news and rumors that caused the price to drop. Now every thing has become normal and I think the price will rise soon to a new all time high.

It was just my idea. Everything in cryptocurrencies is possible.

I don't understand why most people keeps on panicking whenever the price of bitcoin dips a little. Whenever the price dips, you shouldn't be making new threads to discuss this. If  you are new in the world of crypto, just should know that this is normal, but if you are not; then I must say that cryptocurrency investment or tradering business is not for you. Not everyone have a strong will to hold onto their coins even when the days are uncertain.

According to coinmarketcap, bitcoin has downed from $12k price to $11k now. We can say that we are really struggling to go up again, and the price is unpredictable so we don't have any assurance when the rise will happen again.

But, still we do have a good news today as South Korea would be able to trade again by not as anonymous, Korean government make sure that traders must use their real name bank account and should matched their accounts at cryptocurrency exchanges for deposits and withdrawals purposes. With this, we are seeing a light with the value of bitcoin now.

This is Cryptocurrency we are talking about we can not predict the certain movement of it, And even though we are seeing certain prediction circulating the forum it is just prediction or speculation and many are right that we can not do something about it we just need to believe that bitcoin will certainly gonna come up a plan to recover again we can not know when, It can be in the mids of February or the start of march but let's just Hodl and keep believing.

We've had a few dips to 9k - and it always bounces back up. I think there are a load of hidden buys at that level as hedge funds and other try to get in while not overpaying.

it does appear like 9k will be touched, perhaps lower, tony vays even thinks 7.5k

I am hodling, I always get a little concerned but been around the block long enough not to panic and sell

What I do not like is that there has been ample positive news the past week without an uptic in price.

Japan's largest e commerce site is now accepting bitcoin, the bunny ranch in vegas will now start accepting bitcoin ( hehehe) transaction fees have now just hit an all time low, 1 million people ready to go on robin hood, and south koreans can begin trading again as of jan 30.

minus the bunny ranch joke these are all pretty big announcements yet the price continues to decline.

Yes, this has been a "long" range comparatively, since we are so used to extremely short periods of extreme volatility. But you say concern, others like me say relief. This means stability, not volatility, which is much needed by Bitcoin, and even more needed for the general crypto market as a whole. Even if BTC drops to $9k this means: for past few weeks, and even more than a month now, it is trading in range of 9k to 12k. The middle of that is the proper floor, which is $10.5. That sounds good for me.

I am not agreed with you.Bitcoin not going under 10k$, for some recent news bitcoin, dumped a lot.but is not true that bitcoin would decrease like 9k!! If you feel panic you can sell all of your coins.
Even bitcoin prices will be breaking $10,000 price levels, it will bounce back sharply similar to what we had in the past. Because, $10,000 levels must be a very big psychological support level and it will not get broken in sustaining manner so you can be sure about having prices to be back on track toward $20,000 after testing this psychological support level.

I'm expecting bitcoin prices to test new all time high prices in coming months because many financial institutions are planning to open mass bitcoin investments plans for public. So, we can expect prices to jump in coming months.

You are all right, nothing is to worry about as compare to last years price bitcoin is a way far from it as the price last year was 11 times the price this year, so it is not a drop after all, it was just a correction that needs to be fix or corrected after a huge rise. Why are we so bothered, let us no be if we fully trust bitcoin in our life.

We might seen the $9000 mark as predicted by some analysis but apparently it is not going to the zero value as some FUD expert that are always circulating in the forum, Then at that time bitcoin will make a pump up to the $20,000 just have faith that bitcoin will not fail us and believe that it can recover from the resistance.
