Sometimes, when I get too tired from working, I remind myself that some other people are not able to find jobs.  If you don't work, you think weird thoughts.  Mentally health is very important too.  I just hope that i'm working smartly :)  ... time will tell!

You need first to believe that you are capable of doing anything you want. Than accept that you have to work to be better and be capable of even more. And imagine yourself being able to do the things that you are not in position to do now.

I think that it's very important to take breaks, and usually in order to do a good job within anything intense, it requires a good solid 20 minutes of focus, then a 10 minute break or so before getting back to the task at hand. As the OP said, taking the task at hand and breaking it down into bite-sized chunks makes it easier, and more manageable.

These 2 are my major strategy, especially on large scale projects. I sent SMART goals, focusing on making sure they are achievable, and I celebrate small wins. It's moderation though, if a small win takes me 30 mins to accomplish, I don't reward myself with an hour of 'free time'. Celebrations are inline with the effort each win takes, but it's important to recognize these so that you focus on the growth and positive change of your work/project.

Make your family as inspiration i'm pretty sure that you will do extra effort to your work and to think your goal of sustaining your family needs and wants.

It's easiest for me when I have commitments I need to fulfill, especially commitments to other people. If I decide it would be a good idea to work 4 hours/day, I might have a hard time actually getting the time in. If I promise somebody else that I'll do 4 hours of work for them everyday and send them the results each day, I'll get it done. It's much easier to be productive, when you're accountable to somebody else. Getting into a routine really helps too. Try to block out a regular time each day, when you will work.

I always think about poor people and the suffering they have to bare everyday and for the rest of there life which makes me afraid and motivates me to do something

I think seeing the task as hardwork complicates it and make you wanna procrastinate but seeing it as none just makes you get to work ASAP.

Work can be really tiresome at times. And there's this general law of life that one will not always be in an excited mood. Personally, a reminder of the reward at hand keeps me motivated. This is why sometimes I will never embark on a task if I do not see a tangible reward at the end of it. The reward doesn't have to necessarily be material or physical. It can be some form of emotional fulfillment or mental satisfaction. So, I keep my gaze on whatever that reward may be after I have identified it. with the thought of my parents and family, I want them to be happy so it led me to feel the need to work even harder to realize all that.

I will also add a few of my own. 1. work for  s set period of time, the pomidoro method. where you set an alarm for 25min and you do nothing else but work for 25min. I have been using this method for the last year to help me sit down and write my articles and it has greatly improved my performance. 2. when you start  working know exactly what you plan to do, have a result by the end of your set working time. if you only have 20min for example then do an activity or part of an activity that you will be able to finish in that time.

You just need to think about what you want to achieve.

I recently just cleared out my laptop, removing social media logins, messenger, etc. I'm leaving that to my phone. You have no idea how much it helps with regards to focus.

For me as a family man what motivate me to work is by think only my family. thinking about food that we should eat 3 times a day I just don't  want to provide them what they need but I also wanted to give what they want. my family happiness is my great motivation.

I read motivationals book first thing in the morning and charged my mind for the day. I also do matra and repeat words like " I love myself and I am happy" several time like 500 time after reading motivationals books and from there my mind is set for the day worked.
