I'm not sure if everyone received the same email as me but I recently received a dubious email from someone claiming they were conducting the ICO for Telegram. I instantly disregarded for a number of reasons and thought I would ask if anyone on here actually participated.

Here are my reasons for thinking it is a straight up scam:

• 1. Terrible layout of the email: The email which was sent out did not have any of the branding from Telegram whatsoever. This is a straight up red flag. If it were real they would have had their branding all over that shit to give confidence to people.
• 2. Lack of information: The email pretty much just said that they are Telegram and they are doing an ICO. Again, another massive red flag for me.
  
• 3. Not an official Telegram email address:Again, if this were the official Telegram email announcement the message would have come from an official telegram.com email
• 4. No proper mailing list:If this was the real telegram ICO they would have used an official mailing list instead of just copy and pasting a load of emails into the send field.

So there are my reasons, if anyone invested can you tell me the outcome of investing? I personally think this was a scam by some kids.

Scammers are running fake ICO's calling them telegram ICO. Be very careful and trust only news you can find on official telegram site, whatever you got in email is most likely scam.

Yeah I thought it was a scam as soon as I saw it to be honest I was just concerned as I saw a link to a thread on here and people were talking like they wanted to enter it!
