I think I remembered reading somewhere that there is a method that uses the "32 bit" waller key to find the private key. Or did I misunderstand the article? So I run it on the PC that the previous wallet,,,sounds stupid,, I admit. But I am not too keen on programming. Thanks for the replies everyone If you're very lucky, your wallet.dat could still be uncorrupted. Don't install anything, don't download anything. I used the Stellar recovery program to recover some of my lost files in the past. http://www.stellarinfo.com/ Hopefully Win7 or any other programs you installed didn't already overwrite your wallet file.
