Cryptocurrency is now an established medium of trade and has been profitable for most of the members of the community. I know that most people have heard of BTC in different avenues of communication may it be in SNS, blogs or even news the only thing that's keeping them from really utilizing crypto is their fear of it. Still, Crypto has been advertised and made known to the public. We all know that advertisement is a necessary method to invite investors.What could be its negative effect to crypto?

BTC in particular started to have negative impact when CNN was shilling it.

Most people coming in didn't get what Blockchain technology was about, they saw it as a new get rich quick investment.
The new money they brough into market was cashed out on a small retracement, that's what brought us to where we are today.


Bad advertisement.

People say whatever they want after the publicity of cryptocurrency they will say a lot of negative comment but making it known all over is a good thing... Like they will know its possibilities as well.

Negative influence on cryptography advertising can have only if the advertising materials indicate that the cryptocurrency is a divorce and a bubble. In other cases - any advertising has a positive effect on the cryptocurrency.

Publicity has a very big impact in the cryptocurrency community.This enables us to learn more about virtual currency..but we can't deny the fact that publicity might be positive or negative and some of it were FUDS.People who have less knowledge in cryptocurrency  have less patience to earn more knowledge and believe in the circulation of rumors about it..but we can deal with it because we already know bitcoin and lets continue to look forward for a positive outcome of its existence.We will remain positive on thia bearish market because good things has yet to come in the following days.

Overall publicity is good for bitcoin and crypto.

Ok there will be those who never invest because of negative publicity but overall there will be more adoption.

I was here on this forum all through 2017 and with all the negative publicity and fake news stories about
bitcoin and crypto we are still here and bitcoin has not been killed.

Positive marketing is always good for cryptocurrency. It attracts more people to invest on it. But unfortunately there are many negative advertising happening today. Mainly many medias tends to show the bad sides of bitcoin only. However this is also marketing. And any marketing is good for cryptocoin.

Crypto has not yet reached the critical mass so advertisement is very much necessary for the growth of it. A majority of world population have not yet heard about it and a lot of misconceptions are engulfing their thought process. So positive advertising is really needed at this point of time.

The negative effect will only be seen if a well known international publicity houses like CNN or BBC start negative campaigning about it. Especially older people will less risk taking capability will be effected by such negative publicity.

Disadvantage in the publicity of the bitcoin is when people see it as investment tool, they just get into it buy as much as they can and dump the price, bitcoin supposed to be a currency but sadly people didn't see this they just think it's something that can make you rich in one day, hoping this point of view is changed.

With the hyped overtime in any venue of internet, the negative effect that brought was been also used by scammers who created ponzi and scam project, many scammers created their own versions of investment scheme, and with those opportunist who thinks that they can gain easy money out of this system they became a victim and now also spreading the news about bitcoin in all venue, they are now bringing negative news and information about crypto / bitcoin, there's always negative even more of us here wanted to bring light about how to manage gaining decent earnings from cryptocurrency.

Publicity of Bitcoin is notably advantageous to its growth. However the questions is what do the the crypto community publicize of and what influences people to join the crypto community?
One major thing that could be found in most crypto publicities is the fact that crypto investment is very profitable. This cause people to adopt crypto without much knowledge of it and this cause them to get disappointed easily when the market isn't favouring them.

Of course there is good and bad news affects the price of Bitcoin often and without the popular websites spreading this news Bitcoin would probably be a lot more stable than it has been this year. But this can also work to your favor if you are a keen trader.

unfortunately, nowadays more seems to be the weakhands because the fall of bitcoin prices is more than expected, and I think for this year, bitcoin will fail to reach new ATH again because the hype that occurred in last year was purely the effect of excessive publicity crypto

I can't think of any major disadvantageous of promoting cryptocurrencies among the general public. This will obviously bring in more investors to put money  into cryptocurrency market! This will lead to more job generation, more cryptos being used in our daily lives instead of fiat currencies as well as making many more rich people thanks to investing in ICOs and cryptocurrency trading.

I think the negative crypto is good, because I hear cryptocurrency has a selling price too, and do not be afraid if crypto does not have a trade value.

In my opinion, making bitcoin publicize of course will have a negative and postive. So, for negative. I think if bitcoin will be learned by all people in the world maybe there is a chance that bitcoin will become regulated by the government since it will become the more used currency than fiat or the real money that we use in everyday. it ok the utilize the potentials in publicity to the benefit of bitcoin, its a paradigm shift in the right direction, but the disadvantage i forsee is that due to the anonymous nature of cryptocurrency, fraudsters may use the medium to defraud investors who may not get the basic information of whom they are transacting with.

Most people who have heard of cryptocurrencies know Bitcoin, Ethereum and maybe a couple more. They Bitcoin associates with the entire market crypto, but I do not understand why it is needed, except for speculation.

The disadvantage of publicity of crypto is that if the publicity / advertising was poor of information. This will lead to a problem. Because if someone created a scam related to crypto. Then the people will be fooled by it because of the bad advertising. But even though the publicity is solid, we can't deny the fact that some professional people, sometimes fall on a scam

I think the spread of bitcoin is very fast, I myself know bitcoin from mouth to mouth, afterwards new from news or advertisement.
the advert has an important role in the deployment of Bitcoin, even every new coin is willing to pay for its coinage. The impact should be positive for the coin, but not all like Coins or crypto. so many also advertise coins and give rewards to those who use them but that's all fraud.

No, not really. Sure there will be a lot of people that bought in the high because of all the news coverage and shilling going on by mainstream media, good or bad, but overall it is actually positive for Bitcoin. Now this year when it is late in Q4 there may be a huge gain in value just because the news coverage was so huge, people might have an expectation of growth later in the year. This has happened many times.

Well, there is always a disadvantage when one thing is becoming more popular and public. For one, it can be exploited by some bad elements because the amount of profit they can get from this market can be so massive. Yes, I believe that too much publicity also has a negative impact in the cryptocurrency wherein people are expecting more on an iCO during the pre token sale and on the later part, the exchange rate to dollar had huge dropped which makes people being disappointed in end. this ICO perhaps had spend a lot and turn out that during the sale, less people had been investing despite of the successful campaign period.

Advertising is the engine of trade. We need More information about cryptocurrencies on the Internet, on television, on the radio. And then, of course, new players will come, the more the better.

Publicity of Bitcoin helps makes it popular and draws a lot alof attention to it. This is a good thing but the information that is spread during this advertisement is crucial because although it convinces people to invest in Bitcoin it doesn't, it doesn't explain to them how to do it.
This accounts for reason why many people go into investment and later abondone it because their expectations weren't met.

Many criminals store their robbery into bitcoin so it cannot be tracked.
I think this is a negativity about bitcoin, but bitcoin as more positivity than the negative

No and it is the opposite because cryptocurrency is establish already and many rumors already spreading about the benefits that one could get joining in cryptocrreny. Well there are some negative rumors also but it could not compensate from the good news being spread publicly that is why there are many people joining on cryptocurrency. 

I think if you really want to make your bitcoin investments be successful,you should not only rely to the advertisement itself.You should go beyond on it and make your own research and studies on how the crypto market works.Having good advertisements for bitcoin at the moment may be a good start for its market price to increase even more and reaches new peaks again.

Theres no disadvantage in the publicity of cryptocurrency because pubilicity helps bitcoin to become famous. Is a very good timing To show the people in the country that bitcoin is very beautifil by giving profits a huge profits in a short period of time even you are in your house.

Also we can think about the positive effect of that if we would consider that every person who hear about the cryptocurrencies from advertisement channel would consider it as worthy because they allow this to be advertised after all.

My country is literally boiling from all of this crypto-related news, roamers and advertisements. Politics from the screen, bloggers in internet, all of the advertisement around the web, everything is screaming - go and invest in us xD

This is one kind of promotion because again this will raise in previous value everyone understand the crypto potential. Because if someone created a scam related to crypto. Then the people will be fooled by it because of the bad advertising.

They might do that however they won't put it all in bitcoin since it's volatile they're afraid that the value will decrease in no time which is a big no for them. It's sad to think that people use to ride the popularity of bitcoin just for their own interest and suck others money.

 There are many benefits not highlighted anywhere either in newspapers or the internet. Some of them gain importance because of local problems not discussed in public (though governments do it clandestinely, denying its citizens to gain in similar ways). some main benefits are:-

 2.An Exemplary Investment Tool like a SIP- Systematic Investment Plan
 3.Decentralized means you are safe from any organization's poor show

A lot of hype but not a lot of adoption. The biggest problem with cryptoocurrencies is the fact that most of it is not mainstream. Even Bitcoin being the largest and oldest cryptocurrency is still unheard of y most of the population. Other coins are much much worse.

All those people entering crypto in late 2017 were driven by fomo also made by mass media. Now this is the majority that lost a lot of money after the recent correction. It's obvious they all will be very negative about crypto and righ now media are talking that Bictcoin is a scam and you should avoid it at any cost.

I don't think there is any disadvantage but some time you may find or face some people who don't know about crypto and face trouble to make them understand.

Well, in fact, developers of a number of coins do advertise their coins, through airdrops or elsewise, but that's not what you seem to mean here. Anyway, if you refer to publicity, then any publicity is good, as the saying goes. Obviously, good publicity is better than bad publicity, but here lies the main problem. The one main source of negativity is the media. The media always tells to the public the drawbacks of bitcoin and never mentions its advantages. In my experience, I'd say that from ages 20 to 50, 90 percent of those do not trust bitcoin and only thinks of it as a scam. To that end, we must be the ones stopping this bad actions so that the reputation of bitcoin will improve.

Bitcoin might have been unheard of a few years ago, but the bull rally of 2017 ensured that people in most parts of the world have heard about it, even if what they have are mainly misconceptions. Most publicity about cryptocurrency on media are not truthful that's why many people never care to know what blockchain and cryptosystem is all about before coming in with the mind set of making huge money based on what they have read. Once we learn to study and understand before trading or investing take greediness aside the rate of scam will reduce and many people will tust more on bitcoin I believe this can help bust the price.

I don't think so that there is disadvantage in publicity of cryptocurrency rather it can help make it popular. Eventhough you can meet those people who have many queries because they are still new but still it is a good sign that the number of community will increase.

the danger of many FUDs, out there there are still many people who do not like the existence of crypto currencies, and many are panic about it, they will freely say without limits to spread a lot of negative news, which they hope will affect new or old investors though , the existence of social media and ease of access to information is indeed very supportive of crypto, but the existence of many hoax news makes a lot of negative effects that adversely affect and affect investors

Advertising has helped cryptocurrency to become known among a wide range of people all over the world. However, this advertising has become so much that part of it is perceived as spam. And this has a negative impact on the image of cryptocurrency.

I think, a stupid public who can give a negative influence to bitcoin, they only accept the simple news, without understanding deeper.

I think instead of relying on news, people should go directly to the website of certain crypto, read the whitepaper, do their necessary checks and discover for themselves what it's all about. Doing one's homework is the best way to learn about crypto.

The influence of media to their subscribers make bitcoin more ugly. In fact, some of the news are exaggeration only. They just indicated people who are "expert" in analyzing the data or chart so that the news may become true. They are bias when it comes in giving information. So, I do not follow them anymore. It will just take us in wrong way.

Digital value has become just as valuable, and sometimes more valuable than physical value. It's also much more scalable and can reach more people because everyone is going to be online in the coming years in one way or another, even in developing countries.

When someone only has small news and then invests in bitcoin with huge funds and they get a lot of losses, for me that is what makes a lot of bad news about crypto. Hello man, crypto requires a lot of analysis and not only has news as a way to get rich quick.

No I don't see any disadvantages about publicity of cryptocurrency, just us alone can't be doing crypto or probably just us also will know about crypto while others won't. Why will we be hiding our fortune, our right, our business, our future and won't publicize it. If that's is done, then there is something we don't some people or probably the entire world to lnow about crypto.
