Title: Legolas Exchange Scam
Post by: ImHash on January 30, 2018, 08:03:06 PM
Hello,
Legolas exchange ICO with a signature campaign of almost 200 participants has failed to pay after the first week, They also paid short for the first week, They have only paid a few people after the first week to be seen as though they were paying. They have claims such as having 40,000 registration for their ICO but they haven't paid their advertisers and have a thread with only 6 pages.

The amount is between $6000 and $8000.

I have their signature on my profile with their avatar for more than 3 weeks now, there is an indifferent person managing the campaign, I know they have their own way of dodging the bullet, Link to some evidence. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2383397.msg29120260#msg29120260) Link to their signature campaign (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2705913.0).

I know that it was a no escrow campaign, I joined knowing the risk, I'm just making sure to warn people of what kind of people they are.

I think the admin of Bitcointalk should consider introducing a rule for campaigns, which implies that all campaigns must have an escrow.  :-\

I just took some effort to look through your post history m8.
Initially all the numbers seem to add up but after closer look... you already know what I'm going to tell you.
Only during last stage you have managed to make qualifying amount of substantial posts.
Wapinter (campaign manager) strikes me as meticulous and fair-play oriented person, he just rejected most of your earlier one liners, pictures and few posts that where over 4/day rule. (this is all according to campaign rules and spreadsheet).
Now, I'm not defending Legolas, they in fact where late with first payments and those where slightly shorter than current(at that time) BTC to USD ratio. 3rd batch of payments has not been realised yet so you have a right to be mad, legolas is late again.
I think you should have waited a bit longer with the accusations.

Hello,
Legolas exchange ICO with a signature campaign of almost 200 participants has failed to pay after the first week, They also paid short for the first week,

They did pay for the first week with ~3 days delay. Both, manager and Legolas team apologised for that.
The BTC/USD rate they used wasn't the rate from the time the payment was made, but looked more like an average for the period. They haven't specified which rate will be used, so I don't have an issue with that (as long as it's not out-of-the-ass rate used just to screw participants).

They have only paid a few people after the first week to be seen as though they were paying.

I believe everyone who made 15 qualifying post up to and including Sun 21-st got paid (I could be wrong though). If you claim that majority didn't get paid - post proofs (names, opening-closing post counts).

Note: There was some confusion regarding period start-end date. The posting periods haven't changed and are Mon-Sun, manager extended payment date to Thu, which some thought (myself included) that posting period also got extended.

Because of the confusion, those who haven't made 15 qualifying posts till Sun 21st, but done so by Thu 25th, got an option to make additional 15 posts in the period from Fri 26th to Sun 28th and get paid for 2 weeks on the next pay-day which is Thu 1st Feb.

@OP - unless you can prove that participants (other than those "few") who made 15 posts (and haven't dropped their signatures in favour of other campaigns) by Sun 21st haven't received their payments - you don't have a case here.

I don't think it's a scam,I got paid for both week 1 and week 2.
And as @pawel7777 said there is alot of confusion especially with starting day and ending. Also there was a bit of delay in payment but I guess that's because Legolas team is busy with other things, otherwise Wapinter is doing his job correctly.

I think that you have hurried to accuse them with impatience as the manager has already said that the counting of posts will be on monday and the payments on thursday. So,the payments have not yet been released. So,its totally a false allegation.Have patience.

This is an incomplete accusation regardless of its validity. You should provide the following:
1) Link to manager and owner profiles.
2) How many members got scammed? Which ones?
3) How much was scammed (estimation based on above)?

That's a very long gap between counting and payments.

There is a good reason this cheap Exchange was looking for the cheapest escrow. :)

All your accusation are baseless and you failed to provide any Substantive Evidence to support it.I agree there are delays in payments but it is due to some communication gap and not due to Malicious intent.
Anyway I have escrowed the funds with Lauda and if there is any undue payment or if any participant dont get paid, escrow can use the fuunds to pay them.
I want to make it clear that payment day for campaign is Thursday

Helloe everyone,Just a small update.I have escrowed $2k in btc from my own pocket for this campaign.I am waiting for escrow to confirm this
I hereby confirm that this amount is being escrowed by me.

Legolas is not a scam, I can definitely say this 100% sure, because I received my payment today, even the remaining balance last week was also counted and paid. Maybe the payment is delayed but i can assure you that this is not scam.

Also thanks to Mr. Wapinter because everything went well, the payment went smooth and clear.

Legolas is not a scam and Wapinter is good campaign manager also have you read their terms of the manager that has stated in the on post, but for your query should have contacted to Wapinter.

I got paid twice for Twitter campaign.

I would suggest OP to lock this thread to prevent more unnecessary discussion since the issue have already been solved as members are reporting they have received their payment. To be honest, Wapinter is a campaign manager that I respect on his actions he took about handling the payment for this campaign, I did took part in Legolas signature campaign for the first week, even though the payment have been delayed, he did remain contactable most of the time to answer every members doubts and questions.

He even committed to pay every participants of the signature campaign out from his own pockets irrespective of your rank if Legolas team fail to made the payment, even though the amount is a fixed $5, it shows he is a very responsible campaign manager, and I salute his actions, how many people in this world are willing to fork out their own money to pay so many participants with the above situation?

Hello friends, i just got message from them that they will make payment in next 12 hours. I once again apologise for the inconvenience it caused to you.If they fail to pay in next 12 hours, i will compensate all participants from my own pocket. I can't make full payment but whatever i can pay, I will :) Like $5 to each participant irrespective of your rank.Thats all i can do guys as I am not a rich guy.

Now you really deserve some merits, Not only constructive but posting in a right place and time, They only paid because you posted here :D Your post made $120 only for me.

I just took some effort to look through your post history m8.

I did post by the rules of the campaign on the first week, When they delayed the payment, I had to follow my own rules/ post whenever and however I could :D Without Lauda, I would've been a rejected participant, Now I have received 3 weeks payment :D I had to put their avatar and sig back on to make it even with them.

I'm locking this thread, Will open if you'd request.
