Title: Which is better...
Post by: T3NU0US on August 31, 2013, 03:06:31 PM
... to set up seperate workers for each device or to pool them together?

Yes I am new to this. I apparently don't know the terms well enough to formulate this question into a search that yields results on these forums.

Thanks! :)

It really doesn't make a huge difference. You can throw multiple miners on one worker, and have them all consolidated. The vast majority of pools will work with this just fine.

I tend to prefer to have each rig as a separate worker. If you're mining on a pool that sends out idle worker emails, than you can quickly identify which computer is no longer responding. Plus, you can track share count and hashrate for each rig. Very convenient.
