Title: BitcoinTalk++ script
Post by: jackjack on August 31, 2013, 09:28:26 PM
Hi all,
I released a user script for bitcointalk a month ago in the Meta subforum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=264337.0 (instructions there)

It includes:
  • A voting system
    • There are currently 22 voters
    • One's score is the sum of +1s and -1s (no lists yet)
    • I manage the voters list by hand currently, so no cheating possible
    • Everybody is entitled to be a voter (except maybe low activity accounts with stupid posts), just ask me and I send you your BT++ password (only needed to vote)
    • All the lists of voters' votes are public, but the name of the voter himself is hidden (allows voters to check I didn't mess with their votes)
    • Voters can now (0.1.33) anonymously report scammers so that 1) people can check these guys and -1 them, and 2) I can tag them after more research+vote

  • A ticker
    • Hideable
    • Currently 5 possible sources and I'll add all the ones you want (MtGox, BitcoinAverage with or without MtGox, BTC-e, Bitstamp)
    • It uses whatever currency as long as it's supported by your source
    • Refresh rate modifiable

  • Some features
    • Save your parameters in the server
    • Full list of your PMs
    • Make thread titles link to the last read post
    • BT++ tags
      • Hideable
      • I chose with the consent of BT++ users which tag to give to someone
      • More info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=264337.msg2989876;topicseen#msg2989876
    • Format addresses: 1Pxeccscj1ygseTdSV1qUqQCanp2B2NMM2 to 1Pxeccscj1ygseTdSV1qUqQCanp2B2NMM2 (http://blockchain.info/address/1Pxeccscj1ygseTdSV1qUqQCanp2B2NMM2)
    • Format transactions: tx:a5293ef1ff6037daae0ae551218654b8f88109b9d2aebdc6bc6791948b66e43f to a5293ef1ff6037daae0ae551218654b8f88109b9d2aebdc6bc6791948b66e43f (http://blockchain.info/tx/a5293ef1ff6037daae0ae551218654b8f88109b9d2aebdc6bc6791948b66e43f)
    • Formatting buttons and smileys above the Quick Reply form
    • Autofill the Quick Reply form (by your signature for instance)
    • Make an automated image uploader in the reply forms
    • Signature for PMs and a button to add it
    • Deep configuration of features

Feel free to ask me anything

cause the formatted blockchain.info links should lead to blockchain.info/fr according to your post

Well, this looks fairly interesting.  :D Since the current trust system can be easily abused, I do see value in a parallel system. Also, loving the ticker, for the ever-paranoid in me. Think I could get my password to become a voter as well?

Auto update depends on what you use. Greasemonkey / tampermonkey checks (and if needed updates) once a hour or so. If you use the .crx file, it check (and if needed updates) every 6 hours.

This.
Except if you have a "strange" environment it should auto update.
