Title: Starting a Bitcoin Pool[Pushpool]
Post by: laptopdude90 on August 31, 2013, 10:23:23 PM
I'm interested in starting a bitcoin mining pool. I have the technical know-how, and I have access to enough resources.

Is it profitable anymore?
Also, is it possible to connect pushpool to an existing pool, so, when I first start out, and I only have a few GH/s, the miners won't have to wait a long time, and once I have a few hundred GH/s worth of miners, I can run my pool independantly?

to connect to an existing pool you need to setup a proxy pool like ABCpool was or BTCOxygen is.
Stratum or eliopool are current pooled mining software, pushpool went with GPU mining.

So what exactly is wrong with pushpool?

pushpool is outdated and not suitable for ASIC mining.

Sorry! So, with eliopool and a frontend, am I good to go?
