It seems like every day we find something else that is fixed just by the way it was designed. For example, recently it was discussed that eventually blocks will be created more predictably closer to every 10 minutes just because we will eventually be completely dependent on transactions fees. It's literally a problem that solves itself.

I too am amazed by how far Satoshi got.
