CB (as we like to call it) just had its PoW subsidy halved to 2.5. And supply continues to tighten as planned. Some announcements: We're proud to welcome http://CryptoPCS.com to the family of services that accept CB as payment! We're also proud to announce http://www.FiniteByDesign.com is in the process of integrating https://CoinPayments.net ! Elambert and I are in the process of developing a new service and it will be announced next week! Advertising update: As announced, we have launched an aggressive marketing campaign across a few web mediums, namely, Facebook, Google Adwords, and Yahoo/Bing network. Ad costs are on target to exceed $1000 USD for the month. Steady as she goes as the budget will continue to grow as time goes on. This is only the beginning. Again, no outside investors have been involved, although I have been approached by many interested parties, as I did not want to risk legal repercussions to the CB community. Everything has been and will continue to be out of pocket (my pocket, to be exact). Quick update, our Facebook page is about to hit 6300 likes. And we continue to see nice clicks/impressions from our Google Adwords campaign. Our Yahoo/Bing ad campaign is slow but progressing. I'll give a more detailed update later this week with screen shots, etc. Our overall monthly marketing budget now exceeds $2000. In the meantime, I just want to explicitly say there is no congratulating going on at CB. In fact, we feel the pressure rising to deliver and justify the price rise. In the past week alone we have seen a few 'toy' coins sprout up and get accepted by scam exchanges (of the Chinese variety) represented by shady and avatar-only personalities. I guess I now truly understand some of the frustration industry leaders like Coblee, SunnyKing, and Balthazar feel when seeing all these altcoins emerge out of nowhere. Only continued marketing and development efforts will prove a coin's true worth. Although the pressure rises, we accept the challenge. Apologies for not being on here more frequently. We're just exceptionally busy with project development, among other things. We have rearranged our marketing budget and put more emphasis on Google Adwords, and consequently decreased the Facebook budget. We have noticed a much stronger correlation between Google Adword clicks and CB price action on Cryptsy, so we wanted to reinforce that correlation. The marketing budget is still on pace to exceed $2000 per month. In case you missed it, we had some PR crossing the wires last week. Here's the Yahoo News link. Some updates: We welcome coingas.com and cryptosextoys.com to the CGB family! We are also looking forward to picking our partnership winners at year's end, announced here first: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=295534.msg3171405#msg3171405 Client update imminent, with checkpoint update, among other things... Marketing update: We decreased our Facebook budget and consequently increased our Google Adwords budget. Google adwords saw record clicks this week, with yesterday breaking the 1000 clicks mark. https://i.imgur.com/TNi8Sto.jpg Facebook likes continues to be steady at about 100 per day and we're about to reach the 8000 mark. https://i.imgur.com/omrNNWW.png Subsidy halves in less than two weeks. I thought it'd be sooner but the rate of blocks slowed a bit since my last calculation. Project development continues and we're hard at work to change the paradigm of what it means to be a virtual commodity/currency. More details to follow in the next few weeks.
