Don't depend on any suggestion , if you want to make profit you'd better make your own analysis. But if you are just newbie here the safest investment is with bitcoin. Buy this and hold it for good while you are still learning, put at least 50% of your invest fund and profit will come. You have a good capital to invest for, all you have to do now is educate yourself.

I agree with your suggestion that the op should learn to research on the token that will be invested. Not all suggestions here always make a profit, you can discuss with your local community and the best decision is in your hands.

But if i be op, i will invest in btc and alt any other old.

I will go with 50 % to big coins, BTC and ETH and rest 25 % - 10% - 10% - 5% for altcoins .. make your own math and probably let the small percent to something that is in the ico stage or something like that .. good luck, wich I had such amonth!

ETH is the king of alt coin, please invest on that. and i suggest you to invest on ico's too. thats a smart thing. these days very hot icos are wepower, gonetwork and arkblock.

You're right, my friend, ETH is a bad choice because it is extremely overvalued now.

I would suggest 50% in BITCOIN because its correction almost done.

20% in NEO, but it may fall a bit before it will grow more.

I would personally recommend to invest in future coins with real life use and applications and that are gonna be of high demand in the future increasing the price by atleast 5X. some of the coins are based on solving real life problems and enhancing it such as ripple XRP that is being signed by number of companies and is changing the way money transfer works. the second on is IOTA that has great technology called tangle which has has scalability and zero fees. next come cardano which is good platform for ICO's just like ethereum but currently is quite cheap. then come golem GNT that focuses on using the energy of ones computer when they are not using it and paying the person for the same. If you ask me where i would put the $60k i will choose to invest it in 60% on ethereum&neo while i will put the 40% of your portfolio to a long term coins like ADA,QTUM,WAVES, but it really depends on what type of investor you are.If you are good in long term holdings you may just want to hold solid coins like what i have said earlier,but if you are a good trader and you dont want waiting for too long go invest in short trade coins.

You've definitely picked an interesting time to buy in. The cryptosphere has been on a downtrend for the last month after its biggest bull run in its history. It's hard to say whether this bull run will occur again soon. Nevertheless, you can buy a lot of altcoins on a discount now. I notice you don't want to buy ETH, but I'd recommend BTC and ETH as part of your base portfolio, and then maybe spend another 50% on low market cap altcoins of your choosing.

The cryptomarket is bleeding red once again which means bitcoin is still down and so with other cryptocurrencies too. I think it's a good timing to buy now and with a 60K$ investment is an all time big for me and i will probably invest half of it to bitcoin while Ripple, Cardano, Stellar, and NEM will get 1/8 each.

I think ETHEREUM is better buy now. Because the price of ETHEREUM is increasing now. If it is bought for the future, then it is possible to earn good profits in the future. my major holding is VEN so that goes without saying.

However, I strongly believe you should look at minexcoin. It's low market cap, recently tanked, and has just released news of upcoming atomic swaps between bitcoin an litecoin, and an upcoming decentralised exchange. It also generates interest through a parking feature. Really crazy undervalued IMO, you should throw at least a few grand at it.

60000$ its a huge amount for invest.. Before investing this huge amount make sure you did your own research.. Dont follow the majority person.. I will suggest you to to hold 50% in bitcoin and 50% in altcoins.. I am not suggesting you my coins.. But you may try for neo, dash, waves, monero, zcash, angur and gas.. You seldom see people who suggest an altcoin that they don't have. They recommend it because they think it is a good altcoin. I personally recommend NEO as a competitor of Ethereum in the near future. Monero is also a good investment since it is the leading and most known altcoin in terms of privacy. Those coins are one of my holdings, o=it is up to you to do your own research before buying  this. Check the chart if its worth to buy.

The token that I think that the most worth will rise in 2018 is IXT (iXledger).

In one hand prices are super cheap thanks to crash , so it’s a golden opportunity to buy in but in the other hand market is so unstable so it’s hard to know if it can go even lower before it jumps back. And other 20% more use to make invest in some ICO that has working product and nice concept. 30% to ETH, 30 % to strong coins from TOP 30 - NEO, XLM, ICX, STRAT, 20 % to small marketcaps: there are many of them, do your own research, me personally prefer low marketcap coins with good team and clear roadmap - like ECC and LUX, good picks are also ONION and VIBE. I'm buying the top ten coins on coinmarketcap, in their respective market cap weighting. Do this too, unless you think you know more than the crypto market on average.

I would have to do the same thing as that, diversifying the investment is what's going to feel less stress on your current trades.

 Well, once the bull market returns it will recover and then some. Previously I went from 1 BTC down to .29 BTC value at it's lowest, then spiked up to 1.2 BTC value in early Jan. Now been back down to about 0.6 BTC... hoping when recovers this portfolio may spike to 2 BTC value. But before putting any money on any coin whether bitcoin or altcoin or ICOs , make sure to do an intensive research on the coin or altcoin or ICO you are eyeing to buy or participate in.
