Title: Etherdelta Scam
Post by: Dogofthreehead on February 01, 2018, 03:19:05 PM
"Your wallet's ETH balance (0.010381028 ETH) is not enough to cover the gas cost (Ethereum network fee). EtherDelta sends 5.25 ETH with each transaction. This is an overestimate and the excess will get refunded to you. It's a good idea to send more than 5.25 so you can pay for not only this transaction, but also future transactions you do on EtherDelta. The gas has to come directly from your Wallet (EtherDelta has no physical way of paying gas from your deposited ETH)." Yeh bullshit. Its a transaction fee. They will take it.

woah that's really huge amount, even the 0.01..... is a huge thing to get on the gas. It's better if you have a screenshot of that transaction so everyone sees the proof of your problem. as to me this never happened. maximum gas i paid was 0.005 Ethereum and it is a good amount to send and receive faster.

EtherDelta is a decentralized exchange intended for trade in crypto currency, which was issued on the basis of Ethereum blockchain. The system carries out operations on the purchase and sale of cryptocurrency since the summer of 2017. Its distinctive feature is a high protection against hacking ensured by decentralization!! What scam?

Click account > select gas price > lower it from 4 to 10 gwei.
after that your transaction will wok normaly when send and sell token. Eventhough higher gas price make transaction faster, i ussualy use 20 gwei as gas price and gas limit setting is 21000

Its a scammy message.  It tells you don't have enough ETH in your wallet. Then promises you a refund and that you can use it again. I clicked withdraw and bang 5.25 Eth was gone. I used Etherdelta before and have no idea why it gave me a message. But now I am 5K short. I don't think there is anything I can do. It was a transaction fee.

Strangely, today I've sent the coins at the price of gas 15. I don't know how you do it. See the price of gas at the exchange and in your wallet. They should not be much lower.

That's strange, it never happened to me before. Better email or contact the support so they could assist or help you better. Message them on their Twitter account so they can notice it and take proper action.

I hate etherdelta! Huge fees and slow service are unacceptable.. It is the worst exchange platform I have ever seen.

I have always said if you can stay from etherdelta, DO IT! There are multiple times when people got really big problems with etherdelta. Better wait for another exchange to list your coin/token because patience can be the key to win.

You should always what what you are doing. Nobody can save you from yourself to send a transaction with 5K fee...

Next time use MetaMask - the private key is never leaving your computer and you need to manual confirm any transaction fees.

I guess you should fix your gwei price, i've encountered this before or else look for another exchange that will list your precious coin and that will make your transaction faster.

I traded at etherdelta yesterday and had normal fees like always, certainly not anywhere close to 5 eth.

One of the most wasteful exchangers, I spend a lot of money there.
Gass sanga is expensive and transaction speed is very disappointing.
strangely some coins are always leveled there before being registered in a famous exchanger. whether this has become a habit or they work together to keep prices stable.

Not sure is EtherDelta a scam or not, but what I really don't like in EtherDelta that people dump new tokens there, before those listed on official exchanges. Such a silly stuff.
