Title: Windows updated, now my miner is all messed up.
Post by: Donvin999 on February 02, 2018, 02:41:56 AM
Windows 10 updated and now my etherum miner will only recognize 1 gpu not the 2 installed. Also, this gpu is now hashing 10 mh/s less than it was an hour ago! How can I fix this? Both gpuz and msi afterburner recognize 2 gpus.

Quickest method would be to rollback the systems to the last restore point before windows updated itself.  Then disable windows update to avoid it happening again.  I had a similar thing happen today when windows defender decided it would turn back on and delete my mining software.  Added an exclusion to prevent that from happening again.

Have you tried a clean install of your GPU drivers?

Lucky, I'm using Windows7 with Windows Update disabled.
I guess windows is anti-miners too like NVIDIA.

If you want to force disable windows update, search "services" then find "Windows Update", find the "Authomatic" click and select "Disabled".
Said, Google.

Thanks for the help! I reinstalled the Amd mining driver and now it’s getting 2 mh/s higher than it was before the update. Lol I also disabled updates so this doesent happen again! Thank you!
