Will bitcoin continue to fall to $ 6,000$-5,000$?
Yesterday bitcoin has fallen below  10,000$. Today bitcoin continues to fall deep down to 8,200$ and possibly more.
I bought bitcoin at 15,000$. Who can advise me to keep or sell bitcoin at this time? Will bitcoin continue to fall to 6,000$-5,000$? what should I do? please.. :( :(

No it will not fall anymore. You were given a chance to buy and you still can right now before it reaches 9k soon.
Russia and Japan have lifted their policy and are now back to supporting cryptocurrency and mining.

I hope it won't. Indeed, it is unfortunate for Bitcoin's market value to continue falling. But if you are oatient enough, continue holding. Its market value will eventually rise all we have to do is to wait. Besides, Bitcoin is not the only which is currently haing difficulties in the market so I think this scenario is just normal. Yes, it will continue to fall, but could possibly stabilize around $5000 (depending on true mining costs).  I doubt you will see the days of $20K again, but it could possibly spike to those levels on a short term basis.  I doubt it though, now that traders can buy futures contracts and short it.

I believe the Bitcoin it will reach 15k US dollar in end of the March. So wait for two months you should understand the crypto market but many investors are panic to the Bitcoin value.

At this time when conditions are totally against bitcoin and whole crypto market we can assume that the prices may even go down to that level as billion of dollars are wiped out of the market but personally i don't want it to happen.Indeed it will rise in the future after some time but it needs your patience and faith and ofcourse now it will take some time to become normal again.

It depends on what whales do. If they are decided to keep selling the price will go maybe even lower than 5000 dollars and the market will be predominant of bears. If the whales have a plan and they will sell until a certain resistant price for example 5000 the limit, then bitcoin will not go lower. Usually January and February are always months in which bitcoin shows weakness but soon after it recovers with giant lengths. In this time the most important thing to do is not to sell your crypto and be patient. I am optimist about a bright future ahead of us for bitcoin.

if it break 7k5$ so it can fall to 5k at the end of this week. and will recover a little bit on monday to 6k then fall down to 3-4k

The bitcoin price has indeed decreased, but I think it is a normal thing. Look at the current price has increased again, many factors once that affect the price of bitcoin and I'm sure bitcoin will return to the positive trend. The important thing is we continue to use bitcoin because then the bitcoin price will not be corrected much deeper.

The only true long term value that has been established for BTC is 1k per BTC. If you've actually been involved more than like 6 months you can easily see that. It spiked up to around 1200 way back in 2013 or 2014 I forget the exact period, then crashed hard on bad press (mainly the Mt Gox incident and unfavorable news from China.) Then it took a long time to restabilize at 1k and essentially stayed there before rocketing up to 10k, then 19k in a matter of a few months last year.

Be careful, all the people trying to invent all these BS price supports are mainly bag holders who bought at or around 10k. The reality is the only price that it has really stayed at in recent years is right around the $1k USD mark.

Personally I wish 10k or more would become the new stable bottom but there is not really any legitimate evidence to say it will, aside from very loose technical indicators that any real trader can tell you are not truly reliable methods just like with the stock market.

Where did you come up with this magical number of 1K=1 BTC? It will not worth mining at this cost to sustain mining operation even with cheap electricity. Mind disclosing source of this info?

Bitcoin so far was totally dropped for a couple of weeks, So if you bought it for 15,000$ meaning you've been stock up with it, so you don't a choice but to wait. Because if you sell it you will be loss, So my advice to you mate is you must stick with it just be more patience in waiting, just hold on your Bitcoin for awhile like what I'm doing it now.

It is possible to happen, at 8000 $ each bitcoin nobody expecting that to happen in just a short period of time or to go down below that value. I will not anymore be suprise if bitcoin value will go down to 5000$. I am more excited to buy more bitcoin than having panic because of the current dump

In case it falls down even lower than what you said, I will just hold on my bitcoins.  I believe that it will goes up again and will regain its strength.  It just happened that India banned bitcoin.  Many people think that its price will fall so they panic sell their bitcoins that caused its price to goes down.  To think that bitcoin price is still high compared to its price the same date last year.

It will not be as low as $8k guys so don't worry about the price as it won't fall too low since still a lot of users nowadays are still keep believing in bitcoin just like here in our country, despite what is it facing right now. From this it can drop 30% to go to the range 6k-7k$.

I don't see why not. It mananged to go from $2.000 to $20.000 in the blink of an eye. Settleing down at $6.000 for a while it's not a big deal, it's still 3x times profit.

This is possible,but i think this maybe happen in few days from now, we are closing to lunar new year eve, and the closer we get the more investors will sell their coins to enjoy their celebration. If you are just been told to hold your Bitcoin that the price will be up again,you will have a divided mind.Do more on research on previous drop of Bitcoin and the out come of it after all,you will find out that there is always a positive out come in each drop.

I think the bitcoin will never drop at $ 5000-6000. Although this is now the red-eye of the entire electronic money market, bitcoin is a powerful power altcoin and the top one in the whole market.

I very much doubt that bitkoyn will fall so low that demand is very high in supply. As long as there is a high demand, Bitcoin's chances of falling to 5000 are unlikely. The price is determined by the application / demand. So, you need to understand the bet and ask. It depends on the advertising, on how many people turn BTC into cash ....

It certainly will fall a bit lower until it reaches the stable curve again (before it went into hyperhype mode because all the media attention etc.) :)  I probably would wait a bit longer until it reached the low sweet spot  and then buy before it goes up again for the long run.

Even if bitcoin and some time will continue to fall, nothing terrible will happen. Vseravno after a while bitkoin will rise in its price. If you bought bitcoin for $ 15,000 in no case it can not now be sold while it has such a low rate. That would be very stupid. After a certain time, bitcoin will rise well above $ 15,000. Just need to have patience and wait for your time.

Bitcoin dropped to $7500 today, that's a serious price drop. If the price will decline to below 5 or 6K we'll know next tuesday, after the US authorities hearing on Bitfinex and Tether. If the authorities find Tether guilty of fraudulent activities, the price of cryptocurrencies will drop significantly.

Looks like the big drop is over now, but that doesn't mean there will be a large increase. Price will probably go back to around 10k$ and will continue with the dips and recovers for a while.

It is almost physically painful to see how the price falls every day. It makes no sense to make predictions but I believe that everything will come back to normal soon. Just do not panic and don't miss a chance to use this buying opportunity while price still low.

No. IMO everything has been over. Price of BTC and ETH are increasing back step by step slowly. Maybe the whales got enough from panic sellers and they decided to stop this downtrend to cut their earn. LOL

As of the moment, it seems that the price is not dipping below $8K so I say that it will not continue to shoot down to $6K. It's really been one heck of week, so frustrating at times when you check the price moving to the opposite direction. Not complaining though, we have seen this pattern in the past. The key here is for us to have patience and to remain calm under pressure.

Whales, FUD's, Government clamping down and putting heavy regulations are all the culprit. But as much as they want to put it down, the more it will grow long term. I will continue to monitor the price but I'm not expecting anymore drop but instead a slow recovery starting this month.

It went to 7,400 on some exchanges, there's a high probability it will hit 7.X again.  I cashed most out most of my bitcoin (90%) at 16k however if it hits 10k again I'm really thinking about cashing out the remaining 10%.  I'm not even FOMO anymore because I think the recovery is going to be slow even if I do miss the boat.

Of course it is better to hold it mate rather than of losing too much. I know this things won't take so long, in fact crypto now is started to recover slowly but not that much time just the way it fall. If you can manage to wait, then much better. I know you are worried to much but it won't help for you, instead it only give you headache. It is much better to have hangouts and have some extra activities to help you out focusing on these.

Bitcoin will reach a new all time high in the next two to three months. But to me I think bitcoin will go down to maximum 7 k before it goes up again.

It may even fall to such range.I think that only from this range, we started to increase to ATH due to bitcoin futures and I think that launch of bitcoin futures is a total waste and has nothing done productive to bitcoin.

That's the dip I think. 7.5K usd was my prediction for the bottom point according to fibonacci retracement (if you don't know, google and try to practice it). Of course it doesn't mean that it will be for sure but as most of the traders are using fibonacci, it works as support and resistance.

It is hilarious (no offense) when people try to make this argument like investors give 2 craps about your mining costs... that simply does not impact the price in any meaningful way at this point. Far more bitcoin HAS ALREADY BEEN GENERATED than what is mined nowadays. So the generation costs are essentially irrelevant.

The majority of bitcoin transactions are between investors at this point. It is not used in real-life transactions in any significant percentage, despite what some would have you believe. The overwhelming majority of transactions are just investor A selling to investor B, and on and on and on. Neither investor A, nor B, nor C, nor D, E, F, etc are miners... they have no awareness of or interest in the costs to sweat out bitcoin with an asic farm. All they care about is what return will they get, and what is the RISK.

If you see the market and volume maybe some whales sell their crypto and they going to back again soon we need to wait and keep praying that bitcoin will rapidly increased again i hope that $6000 wiill happen because they will buy again so it will pump again just wait.

The price of bitcoin is aiming for that price yesterday but as you can see that the price of bitcoin bounce after reaching 8,000 USD and that is an indication that the support is strong on that price and it is a good buy point at 8,000 USD price once the price reaches to that price again. I don't think that bitcoin will fall below 6,000 USD because that is too much and i believe that the bulls are now coming to prevent that thing to happen.

Bitcoin will rise again sooner or later. I'll keep on holding until maybe $13k. Still waiting for the official implementation of the lightning network so that bitcoin can regain it's status glory again.

Hey yesterday I think I saw bitcoin has gone down to $7k. But as I checked it right now it already rise up to $8.7k. For people who are not new in crypto world we should already know that it is natural for bitcoin's price to change at random times with random amount and we won't really know how large or small the bitcoin price will change. So yes it may fall down to $6k or $5k or much worse than that but I don't think it will shutdown.

Many people tend to forget that Bitcoin is not an over night money spinner. Bitcoin is an investment for the future. You have to hold. If you are scared to buy, then you don't have to buy. But don't sell the ones you already have. Because first you will sell at a loss. Then second the price of Bitcoin will still go up. Just have a little bit of patience.

If you look at the past booms and busts their is a pattern. Last time it went to $1000 then declined to $200. Five times less than the high. So this time it went to $20,000 so it could go to $4000. And it could stay their for years. When it goes back up it could go as high as $400,000 per Bitcoin. And then it could decline to 80,000 dollars.  :D

Bitcoin is becoming more mainstream so it could go up again tomorrow. I tend to buy when it is flat lined and nobody wants Bitcoin or other crypto's. I did buy buy some for $1000 dollars at the peek of the last wave. Patience paid off and it went way up. But it's a drag waiting for it to go back up when it takes a long time.

That was 50% loss. You should set your cut loss bro and yes there is a high possibility that it will go down to 5k cause almost all of the news today about bitcoin is negative so the the market will react to those news accordingly. I suggest you hold it for now cause your loss is so big.

And why did you bought at that price, what were your goals at that moment, why you did not thought this could happen, we cannot give you a precise advice until you are able to answer those questions, if I was in your position I will hold but that is because I have been holding for more than a year so I know I will hold not matter what, but it seems that is not your case, so you will need to figure out what it is the best you can do under your current circumstances.

The price is just a temporary in nature it will not go down as much as the start of the year 2017. With the start of the year 2018  50% higher than the start of 2017 so that would be the difference that we should be think of. If when we hold further or buy more how we earn in the end of 2018

I'm just like you, I bought Bitcoin when the price is $ 14K. and what I do now is hold 50% and sell 50% to buy back at a cheap price.

Bitcoin is becoming more much more mainstream. Their are now big fund managers that include Bitcoin in their portfolios. So the price will probably hold at a higher level than the previous lows. People get caught up in the hysteria when it moves in price and buy and sell at the worst times.

I am also sure of it. Bitcoin is the crypto that has conquered the whole world. Everybody is talking about it. Its popularity will make BTC growing. I hope it will raise up to 20 thousand or even more again.

Thanks for your comments, so today, bitcoin prices have increased again, reaching $ 8,000. and will continue to rise even higher. As experts predict, bitcoin prices will rise to $ 50,000 in 2018. For the past decades, the financial aspect of the world has been doing great even without bitcoin. When bitcoin got introduced to some countries, the fiat currencies were also in good condition. And even when bitcoin disappears in the future, countries will still be financially stable. Bitcoin is just a cryptocurrency which can be an alternative to investment and transaction of fees. Just like the previous years when we had no idea about it, when it is gone, the financial world still keeps going.

Many States want to enact legislation, thereby undermining the price. 
Bitcoin everyone wants to ban. but I can't. Why? Because bitcoin poses a real threat to the national currency. Bitcoin is an anonymous, fast currency with which no one can snatch a piece. Most investors that bought bitcoin in the last months did so because of the bubble in the price of bitcoin, and they had no intention to hold for a long amount of time, so they are in a big problem if they hold their money will be tied to bitcoin for a long time but if they sell they are going to lose money so it is not an easy decision to them especially if they really need that money.

It is time for the criptomoedas to mature and stop swaying because of any news.

You've open this thread about a week ago and how does it feel right now? Bitcoin is already marching towards $9,000 so I think your questions have been answered already. Although bitcoin has fallen drastically to more than 50%, it is somewhat on the recovery phase. I really do hope that you still holds your bitcoin that you bought at that price because there's nothing you can really do what waited it out till the price goes up again. The price will recovered, but don't expect it to happen very quick. I have a feeling that investors confidence are back but it will took a long time because we can it see touches $15,000. Keep calm and patience is the key.

Bitcoin is now in limbo! it's hard to say how it will go! my opinion-less than 6000 should not fall. this month just going from 9000 - 7500 until the end of Chinese new year! waiting for crypto-spring) I apologize for gramatic errors!

There is always a choice but they did not make any choice and they accept their lose that's why they end up selling it in a low price. If they force to make another choice they could save their investments for just a couple of week holding, but they are so impatient.

There'a a good chance that it will retrace back into the low 6k's & a drastic pull back to the mid $4,500's is possible. With that said, buying the dip, from 8K and HODLing is a long term option but if you're trading daily then look for epic entry points under $6,500. These are only my thoughts & not trading advice. I think you've just been told to keep your bitcoin probably the price will rise again, if you have a divided mind then for further research on the decrease of the previous bitcoin and the result you will know that there is always a positive out on every drop on the coin. 8)

I think it will fall down into $6000-$5000 but not too long because it will be the value of bitcoin in a $10000 i think. So just hold some bitcoin for don't be hesitate to sell your bitcoin in a low value just wait on when the bitcoin will going up again.

Hope you've not sold your bitcoin at a loss although its still fluctuating at around 8000 USD it will still pick and likely that will happen soonest. In crypto you need to be patient in order to benefit, this is a trying period but we are almost at the end of the tunnel where there is light HODL

Yes it will happen in the next few days. Currently the altcoins have come down massively and this is a great time for us to buy bitcoin. Me and my friends are waiting for it down to $ 6800 to buy some bitcoin coins.

Today the value of bitcoins is stable to $8k dollar in the market but still i prefer that it will go down back to 5k dollar so i can invest even more on either altcoin or bitcoin and earn more profit when it goes back to normal. There are different speculations coming from the professional analyst but still market is volatile and we cannot assume anything.

My advise to you is to keep your bitcoin for now .Selling bitcoin in a low rate is not good idea ,Be Patience at always, a person who waits deserves a wonderful reward. Noone knows what will happen to the price of bitcoin.but as what happening in the price i think it will not go down to $5000.it will rise up but just slowly.but if the price will go down its a chance for investors and for us to invest in bitcoin.

The trend has continued and the price has been going up for some time but it is still far away from 15k, the price the op bought his bitcoin, and I have my doubts we are going to see that price for some time holding is a good option but it is not easy or do especially if you have lost so much money already, hopefully this is a lesson for all of us to avoid buying when the price has been skyrocketing for a while.

No need to worry, Bitcoin will soon cross the $15K mark. I don't think we are again able to see BTC at $6000 in this year. BTC has recently crossed $10K mark, All expert says gone are the RED days, now BTC, as well as altcoin, will shine like anything. so all your loss will soon be recovered soon.

Right now, the best thing that you can do is to hold on to your bitcoins and wait for some time for it to grow. Do not panic because it might confuse your mind and force you to make bad decisions that will cause more troubles than good. Look at the charts now, we can see that it is getting on track and probably going higher again. We can never be sure. But just don't go panic selling your bitcoins and release the mindset of cutting losses. Since you won't have to deal with losses if you just hold on to your bitcoins.

I am not expecting Bitcoin to fall further but yes the environment will remain chaotic for some more time and we will see fluctuation in the price. However, I am expecting a sustainable growth after the first quarter of this year and the correction was a wonderful thing happens with Bitcoin. It will make it even stronger and help to grow in the long run.

Am sure by now you will be happy to see the recent recovery in price of bitcoin and at the same time convinced that the bitcoin market is very volatile and at that the price is subject to changes as long as the demands are changing. Bitcoin has bounce back to over $10000 within the past three day and I believe the price may still increase because of high demand. So the best thing to do in time of deep fall is to hold.

I think bitcoin fall to $ 5,000- $ 6,000 is pretty hard because the demand from bitcoin is huge.
now bitcoin price $ 10,791.80 (I saw on coinmarketcap.com) and almost approached $ 11,000 maybe because the effect of china's new year is over.

it has become commonplace if bitcoin prices fall drastically and will rise drastically too, if you buy bitcoin at a high price then before the price falls, then keep it until the bitcoin price is back, because now the bitcoin price has increased again

I know you are kind of disappointed when you bought bitcoin at the price of $15,000. If you are aware about the movement of crypto coins in the market, there is an increase in price of bitcoins and some altcoins. The current price of bitcoin is $10,833 which means that it doesn't continue falling between $6,000-$5,000. Don't sell your bitcoins now, because the little by little increase of bitcoin is a good sign that there are good things that will happen in the future. Relax and keep holding your bitcoin. Fighting!

Yes, I think in the near future there will be another drop to 5000-6000, however after that there will be a very strong upward spurt.

It may goto 5k and it may goto to 25k because either is possible :D   We have to guage the probability of one occuring before the other but either event is decided by supply and demand.   I look at the charts and see we break a simple trend of decline since the all time high, that alone makes me more bullish.  It means regular selling is no longer occuring, some might have stayed away or sold early may now reenter the market.

I'd just go by experience and say 5k is less probable now then when you originally stated it, that time has past.   A new forecast must be made as we entered into newer trends then the simple decline of the last month or so.

I dont think that will decrease again, the mininum price in the last correction was around $5900

If bitcoin will continue to fall, nothing bad will happen. After a while bitcoin will rise in price. If you buy bitcoin $ 10,000 then it can not be sold when the price is low. That would be very stupid after the bitcoin time would rise above $ 10,000. Just need patience and wait for a good moment of time. 8)

It's increasing more than to $10000 as of now, why ppeoole always making FUDs regarding this, is it not enough to make btc fall too much. Never panic when you believe in long term investment then btc is still a good choice.

Yeah, it had reached again in five numbers and that is quite relieving. This all proves that it's not easy for bitcoin to go downtrend up to that extent. But for now, it seems that prolonged downstream is over and I believe it would heading for 20000$ but till then you got to hold your btc tightly and have to be patient...

Its market value at this moment already touched and crossed the 10000 USD mark once again and is now continuously increasing. Maybe this is the start of the recovery. Don't worry, fluctuations are indeed innevitable but it is natural. As we can see, dumps are just temporary so do not hesitate to invest and hold. So I think it won't again touch 6000 USD.

Now it's time for the upward movement for the price graphs to show a zig zag moving to new levels and not coming down and not below to almost $5000 so have faith in it and be patient for the time to come as it is recovering with bumps.

I think it won't drop to $5000 levels anymore, it already broke psychological barrier in $10000. I think bitcoin may go bit down to 9000s but its so cheap price, in 6 months we will see $50000 worth bitcoin and I am sure of it!

However it looks like there's no chance to fall again to $5k-$6k after the bigger fall ever on early 2018, btc already on stable price at $9K-10K. If btc raise to $20K for 2nd time, it might have chance to be more bigger.

Actually it already touches more than $11K yesterday, but we experienced some minor selling that's why it hovering just below $11K. But its a good sign that we are not going lower that $5K-$6K because the new psychological barrier is $12K.

It will be a long road ahead before getting in a new all-time-high. But you are correct, we don't need to worry because eventually bitcoin will rally and the price will increase overtime. We just need to have a little patience here.

Well if that happen maybe it was better to hold our bitcoin and waiting when across in a value of $15000 we know it is enough value that we are waiting but if still continue again and passing of $15000 well it is better.

In my opinion, I feel it's going to fall down and I consider 8k as the next target. It's risky but I change a significant amount of my crypto into fiat or usd and wait for btc to fall. Once it's done, I buy more BTC far the same amount.
If btc goes up I'm screwed though.... i'll be interested in what you guys do during a downtrend market.

It's a possibility but it seems to be holding at the 100day moving average at the moment. If it dips below that then it's a possibility. I think it will encounter a few layers of fib resistance on its way down though. In my opinion it won't go back down to 6k again.

yeah it will not go back again and investors will invest more now to see the higher prices earlier because this dump is since so long and everyone want to get rid of this so just keep on investing for some time and hold more to get results sooner.
