Title: Getting >50% packet loss to tMtGox
Post by: geek-trader on July 14, 2011, 03:46:34 AM
Hello.  MtGox is super slow, so I checked and I'm getting 52% packet loss to them. (I'm in the USA, Southern California)

Is anyone else having trouble?

I was going to say it was just you, but I just let ping run and it did stop for a few seconds. My first guess would be something's going on with their DDoS protection, though I couldn't say for sure, not being on the other side. :)

I get a big delay in the traceroute at "unknown.prolexic.com (72.52.5.67) "

A visit to prolexic.com shows Prolexic "provides class-leading global DDoS mitigation service"

They provide class-leading connection mitigation service as well, judging from some of my experiences with other clients of theirs. :)

No data here for the last hour.

Goxed.

Edit: Expect a major change in Bitcoin price once it comes back up
