Title: Should we trust CNBC ?
Post by: Ouissem on February 02, 2018, 10:16:46 PM
CNBC is one of the mainstream that talks the most about crypto, they even founded a Facebook Page especially about cyrpto. (http://"https://www.facebook.com/cnbccrypto/?ref=br_rs")

Should we trust this channel and their famous show "Fast Money" ? They showed recently how to sell XRP at 0.71.

But what was their advise weeks ago ?

Well hopefully this is good news lol. They wanted everyone to buy ripple from them at a high price and now they want us to sell it back to them at a low price. CNBC must be accumulating again.

I think this channel only promote ripple they also have invested in ripple, I was thinking, instead of selling ripple ,  I think we should buy at 0.7 I can see a potential for ripple to go up after the dump at 0.7 hehe

I would take anything from the mainstream media with a HUGE grain of salt. CNBC is after its own interests--get people to read their stories, sell advertising, the usual journalism stuff. I don't know if they have any actual interest in Ripple or any other coins, but if they do it would be right to disclose that.

CNBC fast money is probably one of the worst in what they do. If you watch their more recent content regarding crypto, you'll notice how they are trying to defame crypto and its massive growth whenever they can. The Asian girl seems to be the top dog when it comes to her ignorance. It's quite funny how they seem to have an anti crypto attitude, but can't stop with covering this subject due to how popular crypto is -- it's typical hype riding behavior. CNBC doesn't need to teach people anything. It's the people who will end up teaching CNBC why crypto is what it is today. ;)

CNBC is a business news channel and trusting them would be based on each individual's perception of CNBC. Cryptocurrency is always trending for both positive and negative reasons, So it is not a far-fetched when a business news channel decides to dedicate a show to it.

I, personally, would not take them serious.

Some known pro traders in the crypto world advice to do the opposite of what the mainstream news are telling in the media. As big people are trying to scare people to sell their assets. Huge whales lovesss crypto to crash.

most media advisers try to publicise to the world to buy when there is hype. as its advertised that "things are going good".
they love to say when prices are going down that its time to sell... as its a "train crash"

this is bad bad advice.

smart trades buy at the doom and gloom, because the prices are at a discount.. and sell at the highs

so as others have said, avoid the "doom! sell sell sell" panic adverts

Well, I read your answers. And this is sad that the only « crypto-enthusiast » mainstream media is telling bullshit to their audience. Disappointing.
