Title: Merit! I can't beg anyone for it
Post by: Dydot on February 02, 2018, 10:54:34 PM
The new Merit and Ranking system on bitcointalk is now being discussed more. Some people seems to forget the main reason for the forum - Learn and help others - My main reason of joining bitcointalk was to learn about bitcoin and altcoins from more knowledgeable people and also for me to assist others in the little way i can and i must say that it has been an awesome time here.
The new merit system should not make us forget the main aim of joining the group just because we wanna rank up fast. Do the best you can, post quality topic and contribute to discussion sensibly. If people see your contribution and send you merit fine and if they don't who cares.

Nice message for all the new members who are crying over the new merit system. Instead of begging, we should focus on improving quality of posts.

I don't mean to be rude but, there are literally tons of posts just like this, you can include your opinion to either one of them. I am not against what you're saying, hell i even support that kind of thinking. But please stop creating more threads. Godspeed.

Hahaha why not do the two AR rhetoric same time!? I mean you can post useful info then beg for merit, there is no wrong with that right? It won't violate the rule.

The main thing is most of the people are here for signature /bounty campaign. So they want to rank up easily and earn more bucks. They desperately wants to reach higher ranks and earn bitcoin more.So that's why people are begging for merits I think.

Even if there is no written rule about it, begging for merits is wrong because the post might look helpful to the one who posted it but for those who read it, it might not. It is unjust to beg for merits since it should be given out only to posts who deserves it, not to any post who beg for it but if one post is helpful, someone is bound to give that a merit sooner or later, it might just take time and there is no need to beg for merit after the end of that post(s).

since nothing in world comes as we want it .. each thing goes exactly like you said.. begging for merit wont do any good instead patience and hardwork will make us reach where we want to see ourselves... without putting efforts getting merit also wont be a thrill.. so to those who really see this bitcoin talk forum in a serious way they definitely will have their thing set in mind and shall work hard for it.

They do not realize that it will not help at all. Senior members are not going to encourage any practice that affects the merit system negatively.

Correct and those people are now in trouble because its hard to get merit even you do your best to make good quality post but other people doesnt want to give some merit then your account will remain as it is. But even how hard to get merit you do not need to beg for it, just continue what your are doing i know in the long run your good job will be merited.
